  1. WTF!!! I wanna hear the story behind this!!! lol But to be on topic, yeah definetely go the GTS, removing a turbo on a GTS-t when there is an NA version of the same car allready available........ummm where is the logic in this??? The diff being different (which you will not be able to tell is different just from amatuer driving) is hardly worth the money involved in turning into an NA car, and yeah as the guys above have allready said, its a turbo car from factory meaning you cannot drive it under P plate laws, regardless wether you drop a hyundai excel motor in it or not lol
  2. Why is it every week we have someone asking about neons to put on their skyline Your car buddy, do what u want, but i suggest doing a search on stuff like this first because A: Its been covered a million times and B: You will get smart ass responses because 90% of ppl on here think they are a gay thing to do under your car. But to help in your question, yes its relitevely easy to wire them up as long as you know what your basically doing, cause you really dont want an electrical fire in your car.
  3. Correct, if you have such a high knock count your engine warning light should come on. As for the knock count itself, hmmm seems interesting as that is a freaking high knock count for there to be no sign of damage. I would just reset the knock count to zero, take the car out for a slash (give it a bit up to redline) and see what the knock count is, if its not that high anymore than i wouldnt worry about it
  4. Does she own a car? If so, while shes sleeping cut her catalytic convertor out and report her a few days later for running no cat...........
  5. Yeah my letter took about 4 weeks to come through officially, 5 months later here i am. I get mine back in 4 weeks!!! :PBJ: :PBJ: :PBJ: :PBJ:
  6. My LMGT1s on my car, I love them
  7. OMG! That is f**ked! RIP man
  8. You will not need an aftermarket ECU to run an Electronic Boost Controller. The E boost 2 is quite popular and a good boost controller, however a little expensive for my liking when you compare them to the Blitz EBC's which i believe and have read to be much better in holding boost and many more features. If your only going to be running something like 13psi and want to go a bit of a cheaper boost controller but still very good, go the Greddy Profec B 2, very good boost controller and can be easily mounted compared to having an extra gauge being mounted somewhere. Hope that helps ya mate. Do a bit of a search for EBC's as this topic has been covered quite a few times.
  9. "they should definately make penalties much harsher for first offence... for making frivolous accusations of "hoon" behaviour, first offence, you should be banned from having sex with your sister or mother for 6 weeks..." _________________ I love it when your daughter blows me Hahahahahahaha i love this website!
  10. BAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA That is gold!!!
  11. lol, it's what I've been doing for the last 5 minutes
  12. +1 There is no turbo available, that is only slightly bigger than stock as you say (say a 400-450HP turbo) that is ment to be pushed any where near 35psi. How do you know it is pushing 35psi? Boost gauge or someone just told you this?
  13. The stalling problem occurs on standard ECU's with the blow off valve venting to atmosphere instead of plumbing back in, ECU gets confused by and RPM drops stalling the car. I personally didn't have any problems like these but a lot of ppl do so just try your luck. Do a search on stalling for atmo bov and learn a bit more about it if you get to worried.
  14. Yeah dude, ive been watching your thread and your progress. You've got some awesome stuff that your putting in and i can't wait to see how your car goes . Let me know how the car drives with the GT-RS and the cams
  15. Yeah man, got the full HKS GT-RS kit, should be a direct bolt on other than changing all the oil and water lines.
  16. I thought that the Garret GT-RS equivalent was a direct bolt on for a SR20 only, to get one for an Rb25 i thought you had to change the dump pipe? Might be wrong, dont know I ordered my HKS GT-RS the other day, can't wait to get it
  17. Hahahahhah thats awesome, i once had a cop ask me if my R33 was a silvia
  18. Wow that airbrushing on the covers is nice as! Good work in doing something different mate
  19. Hmmm thanx for that man, might give them a call on monday
  20. Hmm yeah your probably right about not getting one in Aus for that price, everywhere i have looked they are $3000+, however one of the early posts in this topic had a link to GT-RS being offered for $2500 delivered, but that was back in February so yeah i dont know. As far as tax goes, isnt it 10% on every $1000? so about $250, however can't you organise with the company for them to say it has a lower value, therefore the customer doesn't have to pay as much tax?
  21. Its a good price hey I was thinking about what turbo to upgrade to for ages, considering a GCG highflow is about $1750 for SAU members, but you give them your standard turbo, plus pay freight there and back, end up costing you about $1850. The HKS GT-RS is a bit over $2250 delivered and it includes a HKS adjustable actuator, all new lines etc, and you can still sell your standard turbo. For the extra few bucks in my opinion, it's very worth it. Considering my mate bought one a couple of years ago and paid nearly $3500, they are a bargain. If anyone knows of anyone in Australia selling HKS GT-RS turbos for about this kind of price, please let me know as i would rather pay a bit more and get it straight away, then waiting for shipping from Japan. Will probably place my order this week. Cheers, Phil
  22. Ahh i was just thinking the same question as i'm about to order one aswell. Nengun is about $2270 delivered, but then you have tax and have to wait some time (I emailed Nengun before to ask how long it would roughly take for them to deliver to Australia at the moment). So what other choices are there? I didnt know slide or GCG could get HKS turbos? If you find out a cheaper place than Nengun please let me know!! Thanks Phil
  23. Can't believe im actually going to say this, but thats a good looking Proton LOL!
  24. Just the turbo mate
  25. PM's replied to. I need this turbo gone, may include shipping in the $300 in QLD if any one is seriously interested. Perfect condition turbo, you will not find a better conditioned standard turbo than this one!
