  1. For Sale: Im selling the standard turbo off of my 1996 R33 Series II Skyline. Its a T25 Turbo with a T3 exhaust flange, the series II turbo differs from the series I turbo by having a different compressor wheel which allows a bit of a quicker spool up. Turbo is a good upgrade for an RB20 or whatever else you want to chuck it on. Condition: The turbo is in excellent condition with no shaft play. Max boost i ran on the turbo was 10psi for about a year, before that the car was stock as a rock so ran on stock boost. The turbo was taken off of the car a few weeks ago with about 80,000km on the car, reason for sale is that im upgrading to a bigger turbo. Price and price conditions: Im chasing $300 for the turbo and would prefer local pickup however shipping could be organised at buyers expense. Contact Details: You can contact me on 0421 735 333 or PM me on this site. Location: Townsville Thanks, Phil
  2. Havn't seen the car for about 4 months now so not sure if it is still here, i spoke to the guy that owned it a couple of times but i never asked about the tail lights.. D'oh! However i remember thinking to myself when i saw them up close is that it looked as if the owner had just somehow taken of the red lens that covered the tail light and underneath it was the clear grooves....? Does anyone know wether thats what the tail lights look underneath the factory red lens??? Come on who has smashed a rear tail light and knows
  3. That car used to be up here in Townsville (Not sure if it still is, might be) im pretty sure the tail lights still lit up red. Very interesting tail lights to see in real life, and if i remeber correctly (this is going to be hard to describe), on our red R33 tail lights, the actual red cover is like a smoothed over one piece, however those white ones arent smooth and you can actually put your hand inside and feal like the steps of the tail light........get what i mean??
  4. Get the exhaust steve and that should help, can't even hear your car when you pull up
  5. No worries mate, glad we could help
  6. Hey mate, just wondering how its all coming along? I'll be getting my highflow in a couple of weeks off of slide and this thread is a great read Cheers mate Phil
  7. Hahahahha we all think alike, i did the same thing, awesome desktop pic
  8. Hahahahahahahha "a place to hide a firearm" thats gold!!
  9. Hey mate, is that a R33 GTR radiator guide from Garage Defend??? Becuase they dont list any for the GTS-t so im assuming its the GTR one. You got any more pics?? Would love to get one of those if you could tell me where you got it from. Thanxs champ
  10. Bit of petrol on a rag works really well, just dont let it sit on the paint too long or it will probably damage it a bit. Just use some common sense with it and it will work very well
  11. There was a really good article in the latest HPI magazine on cam gears and wether they are worth it or not. I myself don't have one on my car so i don't want to agree or disagree wether they are worth it or not. The exhaust cam gear if installed, will have to be adjusted a degree at a time on a dyno to see if there will be any difference in top end, midrange or wherever. You adjust the cam gear by one degree, do a run and see how it went, if it made more midrange or something, u would adjust it another degree and see if it made things better or worse. On stock cams it might not make much of a difference, maybe 1-5rwkw. On aftermarket cams however they are extremely good at getting the most out of ur cams to have them adjusted to the best spot that you want to be making power at, and u may gain a significant improvement in power. On a basically stock car like yourself, you may use up an hour or two on the dyno, pay $200 or so dollars in dyno time and maybe gain a couple of killowatts that you probably wont notice......up too you wether you think its worth it... My 2c worth, feel free to correct me if i am wrong or have missed something. Phil
  12. One of my friends has something similar to this on his NA car......
  13. Hey mate SAFC1 or SAFC2? Does it have a current tune on it at the moment? Cheers Phil
  14. Ahhhh nengun does have them on their request list, sweet! I might give them an email and see wether they are something they will be getting in soon. As for an importer to get a set from Japan, how would i go about doing this? Is this going to cost a lot more money because they put on their price for doing it ontop of the price of the mirrors?? Not to familiar with going through an importer for parts like this. Thanks man
  15. Well, im chasing a few carbon bits and pieces for my car and when i saw these carbon mirrors i fell in love They come with skyline mounting brackets so fit perfectly on your standard location, atleast thats what it said on their website. So i did a search on the internet (Googled in Australia).......no suppliers of craft square....hmmm, then searched this forum for craft square....not 1 thread!!! So who knows of someone that can get craft square mirrors in Australia, or does any trader on this forum deal with them?? Anyone know of a rough price? I emailed craft square but have still had no reply from them directy. Im guessing they will be around the $600-$700 mark.....? Cheers
  16. Sorry to be a bit of topic, but what actually is different about the R33 GTS-t series 1, GTS-t series 2, GTR radiator guides, like what makes one not fit the other??? Obviously head lights and stuff are different but i thought engine bay wise the radiator frame was identical?? Is it just the bolts in the frame that are different between them? I hope its not something really obvious that i haven't thought of and im gonna look dumb lol Cheers fellas.
  17. Dont suppose you have a nice pic to show us So we all agree they would look pretty cool on an R33?? Hmm maybe i will have to get them afterall, no other people have photos of any on a 33?
  18. Yeah no worries man, my mate is thinking about buying them for his R33, so if he does ill mock them up on mine and see how they look, shouldnt look to bad and something a bit different. So nobody has anything like these??
  19. Hey guys, Was just wondering wether anyone on here has some canards on an R33, preferibly a series 2 front bar? Did a search but nothing decent came up. Ive seen a lot of origin canards on 180's and silvias, or on R34 GTR's and i don't mind the look of them. Im personally not a huge fan of huge bodykits so therefore have been thinking about other little things to improve the look of my car. These are the origin carbon fibre canards. It's just a thought at the moment so any help, ie photos, would be good. Let me know what you guys think. Cheers.
  20. would u sell the turbo without the dump pipe for cheaper?? As i dont really need the dump pipe =P Also which GCG highflow turbo is this, ie what specs? Cheers bud Phil
  21. well if u dont have anything in the catch can and its just hollow, the air will just pass through it and the oil probably wont be caught in the catch can and therefore defying the point of it, however if u have something inside like steel wool or whatever, the vapor hits the wool and seperates the oil which then falls to the bottom, kind of like condensation. Hope that helps a bit.
  22. Hahaha yeah oil is a bitch, as for what type of oil catch can, best thing is to do a search as its been covered a lot of times, but to give u a basic idea, you either can set up an oil catch can a legel way or an illegal way. Legel way being is u set it in line with your standard lines and have the catch can catching as much oil as possible before it plumbs back into your intake pipe. The illegal way is you get rid of it plumbing into your intake pipe all together and just run a filter on the catch can. Have a search and theres heaps of pics showing how to set them up and which ones are better than others, i run a drift oil catch can because you can open it up to fill it with steel wool and u can also run a filter onto it, but the choice is urs Hope that helps a bit Phil
