  1. That's what I'm trying to find out. I emailed them so waiting for a response. If not, as Craig said, we could just hand tap them since i'm assuming the inside would be aluminium so should be soft enough to tap.
  2. Have a read of my DIY again man. I updated it with the bleeding procedure and adressed the issue you are mentioning (I did it aswell the first time). You are cracking the wrong part of the nipple. The actual nipple itself is the black part and has it's own nut. You are cracking the gold part which is what the nipple sits in. You will know what I mean as soon as you look at it again
  3. The group buy will be for the gear knob only from this supplier. There is another guy in the UK that does really good quality gear boots which we could also do a group buy for. However that isn't in the plans at the moment.
  4. Also just so you know why I havn't posted the group buy up yet. I'm just trying to confirm with them whether the gear knobs actually have a thread inside them or whether they are just a hollow shaft. Because I believe a lot of European cars don't have a thread on the end of the shifter, they are just a shaft. EDIT: Here is an install I found. See how there is no thread. http://www.seat-leon.de/vboard/showthread.php?t=70056
  5. There has to be a restriction there causing the crank case to pressurise. Since I've never used on of those, what is inside? Just hollow?
  6. That's basically a console though! All these "hardcore" PC guys always talk about using a mouse.
  7. Pfft shooters are awesome on console. Basically the main type of games I play. I just love the fact you can play a console with a room full of people, having some drinks, talking, listening to music and whatever and have fun. You can' do that with a PC. No shit PC's are great. They are basically an upgradable console (or a console is simply an outdated PC). That aint the point. It's the fact you can't play it in a lounge room on a 52" TV and have 30 people in the room (and if you have converted a PC to do that, well you basically have a console you knob). As much as I used to play a lot of PC games I just don't ejoy them any more as I get older. Laying on a couch in the lounge room is my style.
  8. Fedex should be picking up the packages on Monday.
  9. I want to see some more vids of this beast on the gas
  10. Ah ok fair enough. Let us know how they go.
  11. You crazy kids. I aint doing dodgy crap like that As far as how they will sit, I can only guess unfortunately.
  12. All Nissan 5 speeds are a 10mm and the Getrag 6 speeds are 12mm.
  13. Hmmm very strange to see lower outputs Roy. How much lower are we talking? Just peak power or throughout the rev range?
  14. Need to know more info on the noise. However at a guess it's the same problem 99% of Skylines suffer - missfiring. 15-20 year old coilpacks and some times incorrectly chosen spark plugs will cause miss firing. Especially on a cold night.
  15. Just actually sent them an email regarding that.
  16. The main thing you have to remember with brake upgrades that 50% of people know very little about is brake bias. Your car from factory has a certain amount of brake force sent to the front and sent to the rear. If you then suddenly throw a set of brakes on the front or on the rear that throws this balance out way to much you will have problems. So while that kit for the BMW may fit your car with a custom adaptor, what is the actual specs on the caliper? What is the total surface area of the pistons? There is a lot to it and a lot of good information on the forums so have a bit of a search and a read. I learnt a lot from organing the Wilwood group buy and even though a brake setup might look good in a photo doesn't mean it will suit your vehicle and needs.
  17. Ah yes handbrake boots! Forgot about them. Definetely keen on that aswell since mine is the factory one and looks a bit old now. Wouldn't mind actually doing something about the handbrake itself. Havn't really seen any one doing anything on a Skyline though.
  18. To easy guys. I'll PM you when I open the group buy. Might do it tonight or tomorrow. Other than the diameter the only factor is the length of the internal thread in these new gear knobs. If there is plenty of thread it will bottom out on the stick and won't be a problem. If the length is short, it may not go all the way down and sit a little bit higher. This really depends on how tall the gear stick is that you had on there before. In regards to the gear boot. I suppose it depends how much play there is in the boot. Mine is custom made and is a bit baggy so should be allright in that respect. In regards to the base of the boot once again varies from boot to boot in how it is stitched. However I want to replace mine with suede and I have found a manufacturer in the UK that does good ones for good prices. So we can always get custom made ones to our specifications. Please let me know if I am over looking something. The ones I posted on the first page are the ones they make. All have leather. Basically the options are as follows (I will go into more detail in the actual group buy): -All leather -Leather with a ring of chrome -Leather with a ring of aluminium -Leather and chrome mix -Leather and aluminium mix
  19. Like I said. This group buy wasn't about obtaining the pedals. Any one can do that through Nissan, Kudos motorsports, Ebay etc. It was about getting them a lot cheaper. Ie not paying $250-$300 delivered.
  20. Righteo so I got word back regarding pricing. For 5 of them custom made in 10mm delivered to every one would be $110 delivered each. What you think? Is there a few people keen for that price? If so I will chuck up the group buy.
  21. +1 to what the hell that stuff actually is?
  22. Yep that position for the 02 sensor is going to be a bitch. I even dare say you might have a bit of a drama with the wiring to it reaching...
  23. Yep that's a good idea. Mine weren't that bad. Needed a little bit of force to get them over the rotor but once they were on and the shims adjusted accordingly I could spin the rotor with my hand which was good. One thing I will do however is after about another week or so of driving i'm going to take the wheels off and just go over every bolt again with the torque wrench to ensure they have not come slightly loose.
