Rear R33 Strut Brace
PM-R33 replied to macdoodle69's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Just to correct you as not to misslead people. There is no such thing as a "Type M V Spec GTST". The strut brace you are referring to is factory fitted on most (Perhaps all) R33 GTST Series II's. -
Do a cruise up to Townsville and we can all run a muck one night you poofs. Or we can all meet half way at Airlie or something.

Some one has been under a rock... He's the best thing that has happened to Nissan in a long time.

In theory on a street car, the tyres are the limiting factor in the distance you will pull up in. Having said that, I have been in many street cars that have done brake upgrades and they ALL pulled up a hell of a lot harder (including my dads old Monaro that upgraded to huge AP Racing brakes). So yes, large brake upgrades usually mean that you can brake hard a lot more often and not get brake fade (such as on a track car). I have a good set of pads and rotors on my car, but I still am going towards this brake ugrade. I am assuming you don't have ABS if you are locking the wheels up yeah?

No!!! I'm meant to be going there at the end of the year!!

Does It Feel Like Your R33 Is Outdated?
PM-R33 replied to crazyr33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Skylines are fucking gay. They take all my money and make me spend to much bloody time sweating my ass off in 35 degree, 90% humidity heat in the garage. -

Is There A Rev Limiter On An R32 Gts-T?
PM-R33 replied to stig mick's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
How on earth could you think your car does not have a rev limiter? So you thought the crank just rotates faster and faster until something breaks? -
Custom Glass Carbon Fibre R33 Projector Headlights Group Buy!
PM-R33 replied to PM-R33's topic in Group Buys
Very interesting! Definetely something to look into then. I'll let the boys at SPINTO know and see what they think. -
Yep standard exhaust manifold. No point changing it with a GT-RS.

230-235rwkw on 14psi and 255rwkw on 18-20psi prior to any head work. Once the headwork was done the most I saw was 263rwkw on the same dyno on 19-20psi. Always had the boost start dropping off towards redline though. My tuner didn't really know how to tune the boost controller so my boost curve was fairly average. At the moment I have retuned it on low boost and the car feels slow as hell, so yeah definetely high boost all the way lol. However remember every single dyno is different. I've seen cars with dyno sheets saying 350rwkw and then they run it on a different dyno and it will be 310rwkw. It really does vary so I try not to use other peoples dyno sheets to much other than a guide, and just use the same dyno every time you do mods to see if there is an increase on that particular dyno.

Sounds like an alarm feature. It probably isn't boost related but speed related. A lot of high end Euro cars do the same thing, put the windows up automatically after a certain speed is reached.
-
Used to run 20-21psi all day every day for over a year with no dramas (currently running low boost until I tune it for high boost again). Chuck it on a dyno and see if there is gains to be had. If the gains are marginal than turn it back down. Mine used to make a lot more power on 18+psi than 14psi, but every car is different.

No worries. Been hooked up on the car for about 6 months now (I think, may have been a bit longer) but it has barely been used. Been so flat out the last 6 months with finishing off uni, moving house etc that I haven't had much time to finish the car off tuning wise (I've been doing it myself now). But within the next couple of months I want to finish the high boost tuning with the nitrous and put it on a dyno again to see what it makes power wise. Yep sure will. I will list up all the known models that they should fit in the group buy thread. Basically Nissan use the same caliper mounting on most of their models so there is a variety of cars that they fit (Stagea, S14, S15, 300ZX etc). I think out of the R32/R33/R34 Skyline models, it is only the R34 GTR that runs a different caliper bolt hole size on the hub.

Righteo so I spoke to my engineer and he doesn't see a problem with mod plating the brakes as long as everything is properly installed and passes the testing he needs to do (pretty much exactly what Roy said). So basically if people that are keen on the brakes want to make sure everything is legit, speak to an engineer about getting them mod plated (or a certificate or whatever non QLD states do). Pretty sure this is a requirement for any brake caliper upgrade so it isn't anything specific to these brakes. I'll chuck up the group buy this weekend with the final price and see how we go. If there is good interest straight away i'll sort out a rear brake package aswell.

PM-R33 replied to PM-R33's topic in Group Buys
Could you explain the dual colour LED thing a bit more? I didn't even realise that was available! So it is one LED that depending on an input can be a white parker, or a flashing orange indicator? -
Hahaha yeah they are strong bastards! Cheers guys

Carbon Fibre S2 Front Foglight/indicator Surrounds Group Buy!
PM-R33 replied to PM-R33's topic in Group Buys
My for sale thread for my other set is now up for any one that would like to buy them http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/349173-carbon-fibre-r33-s2-foglight-indicator-surrounds/ -
For sale I have a brand new set of carbon fibre foglight/indicator surrounds for the R33 S2 front bumper. These got created by PSI Parts for a group buy that I ran and I had to order two sets to get the numbers needed to put them into production. Group Buy: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/337956-carbon-fibre-s2-front-foglightindicator-surrounds-group-buy/ Currently they are not yet in production so I (and who ever buys these) will be the first in Aus (to my knowledge ) with them! I will charge the exact same price as we got in the group buy of $130 delivered Australia wide. Here is also a DIY I wrote on how to fit them which includes plenty of pictures DIY: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/348458-diy-carbon-fibre-s2-foglightindicator-surrounds-install/ The quality and fitment is fantastic and gives a bit of a unique look to the S2 front bar Cheers Phil

They are opening back up on Monday so will hopefully have a better ETA then.

No worries guys, great to hear they rocked up safely. I always worry they are going to magnetically attach themselves to something and get lost lol.

I sent the boys an email to see where we are at with the pedals. Not sure when they will reply as they may still be closed for the Christmas break. Will let you know as soon as I hear back from them.
