  1. Agreed. First time I was on the back of a Busa on full throttle was the closest I felt to death.
  2. Oh right, yeah I didn't really look at his Location status thing. I did a Google search so that's in Vic yeah?
  3. Ok if it is a .82 housing there is something definetely restricting it in making power. I also ditched my Microtech LT12S and put in a Vipec V44; very happy with that descision (I got a good sale price for the Microtech and picked up the V44 for a great price so was a cheap upgrade) so definetely would suggest the same. Don't bother touching the head at the moment, as that isn't where your problem lies. You could spend thousands on the head, and still net no gains in power due to the problem still being there. Do you have a dyno graph to post up?
  4. Oh right, I forgot the Blitz ones can come as a kit. Like this yeah? I have a Blitz one on mine, when I had the factory plenum setup I just used an adaptor to sit it where the stock one sits.
  5. 1. Look at your factory BOV. You will see a vacuum hose running from the plenum to the top of the BOV. The Blitz one is the same. No idea what you mean about the second source? Got a pic? 2. You obviously remove your factory BOV and put the Blitz BOV in it's place. 3. Yes you will most likely have stalling issues, can't really do much about that on the stock ECU/AFM setup.
  6. Who ever is telling you 550rwhp is not possible knows nothing about RB25 engines.
  7. So you bought a Power FC with the knowledge that you were not going to get it tuned? I don't get it.
  8. If you are planning for a GT35 you will want something like Nismo 740cc injectors. Stock injectors start running dangerously high duty cycle anything around 220rwkw+ Therefore if you are pushing 230rwkw on stock 15+ year old injectors, you are all ready risking an engine.
  9. Any auto trimmer can retrim your seats. Just open the Yellow Pages up. Doesn't help that you didn't specify where exactly you are located. For aftermarket seats, simple Google what you want; or search on these forums for Bride, Sparco, Recaro etc. Just realise it aint cheap. A genuine leather retrim for two seats will be $1500-$2000+
  10. Yeah the on and off throttle of the GT-RS is something you fall in love with on medium speed/twisty roads.
  11. As Ash has said. If it is a .63 rear, change to a .82 housing and a 6BOOST/ETM manifold with your external gate. This should straight away see you at your power goals. Then if you want to push it furthur, free up the exhaust gas flow with a larger exhaust and remove the chopped up plenum. As far as I am aware Hypertune don't make anything for RB25 heads, so just go the Plazmaman one.
  12. Hahaha I'm going to have that block of text saved somewhere so I can just copy and paste it every time one of these threads comes up.
  13. As what I wrote in this thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/345346-spark-plugs/page__st__20
  14. Please have a read of this thread from a few days ago. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/347078-upgrading-fpr-worth-it/ Then read my post: You are in category 4 just like so many others. Hate to be a barer of bad news, but you just wasted money.
  15. What model evo? They certainly are not "crazy quick" from factory. Not at all. Maximum G force reached is simple once you understand what it means. It means accelerating in a direction greater than what gravity accelerates at opposed to you. So regardless at what speed it is or in what car it is, it is the vehicle that can accelerate the quickest. From a vehicle point of view, it is being able to rotate the wheels as fast as possible without slipping them (losing traction). So really from a "reasonable" sense of view, an AWD car launching from stand still with a huge amount of power is the easiest to achieve.
  16. Bit of an old thread bump. Just want to confirm what I am reading. If you got a complete front aftermarket brake kit with calipers, rotors and brackets made for the G35/350Z, it would bolt onto a R32/R33 Skyline if you had the brackets have M14 holes on one end for the caliper and M12 holes on the other end to bolt onto the hub correct?
  17. f**k yes! I would like to see it with no spoiler though, like an F430 Spyder look.
  18. Once a car is tuned correctly, than that is it. It is only when you change something major that you will need a retune.
  19. I'll let my mate know, I think he would be keen for his 34 GTR.
  20. Just before every one jumps onto you, in Australia we call it "circuit racing". When us Australians hear "road racing" we assume illegal street racing and every one will start going off at you and you won't understand why Given that you guys in the US now have direct access to the new range of Garrett turbo's I would definetely try the new GTX3076. It won't do your 550rwp, but for a circuit setup in a light S chassis I think it would be a fantastic setup.
  21. Like I said with mine, it's a bit hard to exactly discuss in this conversation due to having head work done at the same time. But without a doubt, the difference after it was EASILY noticable with an increase of power every where. Didn't even need to look at a dyno graph to know it and every person I took for a drive after wards was very impressed with the difference. Exactly right. On a stock turbo or really any smaller than mine it's a bit of a waste. Hell even mine would benefit from a larger turbo - one day. I hardly call RB25 cams as high performance. If you are handy in the garage it really aint that huge of a job. I have had my cams in and out probably half a dozen times times swapping from stock to HKS, HKS to stock, stock to Poncams etc. If you can rig it up so you don't take the timing belt off like some people do it's even easier. I never did it that way though. Any way, here's the old graph I posted up back in the day, take from it what you will: Also most of the guys in this thread are talking about RB25 cam changes where as others seem to be talking about RB26 cam changes without saying so. These are completely different heads so please specify what you are talking about to keep things accurate.
  22. Yeah go on some bolt on spacers like Hamish said and then do a little bit of gaurd work.
  23. It's a horrible story to hear and I hope the thief gets everything coming to him, but I couldn't help laugh at the police comment about "Chase aborted, we cant keep up with that bloody thing.." Bahahahhaha that is awesome!
  24. Sweet can't wait
  25. Hahaha that's the spirit!
