Neos behave differently to Poncams than your RB25DET. I got good results with mine. But like others have said, money is better spent else where first.

All the pedals are ready, they are still just waiting on the footrest pedals. Hopefully hear back from them by the end of the week to see where we are at.

Carbon Fibre S2 Front Foglight/indicator Surrounds Group Buy!
PM-R33 replied to PM-R33's topic in Group Buys
I tried sending PSI Parts a PM the other night to see how we were going but his inbox appears to be full. I'll try again. -
Hel Strainless Steel Braided Brake Line Kit
PM-R33 replied to PM-R33's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Replied -
Up for sale is a brand new Hel stainless steel braided brake line kit to suit a R32 or R33 GTR. This is a full front and rear kit. These are ADR approved and come with a Decleration of Conformity. These were ordered in the last small group buy we did however the person that ordered them no longer needs them so they are up for grabs. Have a look in one of the group buy threads for more details regarding the kit and also the DIY I did for fitting them. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/332607-hel-stainless-steel-braided-brake-line-group-buy-2/ They are $120 Express Post delivered Australia wide and I can send them within 24 hours of payment going through. Looking to sell these quickly as it is just dead money to me at the moment and I could really use the cash for Christmas Any questions just shoot me a PM. Cheers Phil

Race Spec M35? Haha We Got Bored Today...
PM-R33 replied to bLaQ.bOi's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Are they the Origin canards? I got the Vertex ones on mine. -
Ah yep I know what you mean. E90POST that I go on has that feature.
-
You don't need to run external coils with the LT12S. I used to run a LT12S prior to the Vipec.
-
Another cool little feature I like is the "Preview post". Saves you from opening a topic if you just briefly read what it is on about.

Cheers man. Pintaline is going to wait for the next one (good man!) so that's that sorted. They are all packaged and ready to send tomorrow so every one should have them by Friday since it is going with Express Post. Just a reminder to the GTT boys, I got you guys GTST clutch lines so please let me know if they fit (99% sure they will) so I can inform Hel to add the GTT to their list.

Vacuum leak, exhaust leak or damaged turbo. 99% it would be one of them but I would be leaning towards to vacuum leak. Does the car hunt on idle (RPM goes up and down)?

After A Whole New Brake Kit For R33
PM-R33 replied to bradley's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
So in other words you just need new rotors and pads? A set of good RDA or DBA rotors and some decent brake pads should set you back around $1000-$1500. -
Righteo well I will send yours. Hopefully Gimps or Pintaline aren't in a rush, i'll see if they reply tonight. I hate when this crap happens. Makes me feel so bad when it is out of my hands.

Fair enough. Just remember that people that have had similar setups on "street" cars aren't living in a town that has no large race tracks where you can bring a T51R onto boost or no proper highways.

We both know that aint true. I think you need to learn about what high duration actually means from a mechanical point of view and what it does to the way the car drives. The cams are excessively huge for a street car up here. So a 800+HP turbo on a 2.6L "Street car" aint a dyno/drag queen? Please. You were trying to sell the car for ages because you told every one it wasn't that fun to drive on the streets. You really think being blown away at the lights by our Mazda 3 is going to make you happy? So like I said, a pig to drive on our streets up here. Hell even my car feels like I have to rev it quite a bit to put around town compared to new cars that I have driven. It's the fact of having an old small displacement engine in a heavy car. I remember Tristan going on about how terrible Gojira was to drive around town. And also, just becuase the head will be rated to such a high RPM means dick. Doesn't mean the bottom end will handle it unless it is built absolutely perfectly. No shit. The stock turbos on a RB26 are pretty damn laggy nowadays (drive a modern day turbo car and compare the difference). I have no doubt that the new setup feels better (I say "feel" because without comparing proper dyno sheets the placebo effect is to strong). I actually thought the turbo choice you had on there wasn't that bad (personally I would go with HKS GT-SS's for up here for good fun up Stuart and for the track). I hardly call it negative comments. I've known you longer than most people and can tell when you are just speaking shit or actually know what you are on about. I'm glad you are building the car how you want it, because most of the time you only buy parts because some one else tells you to do something or you think it will impress a bunch of young kids. Either way, good luck with what you choose to do, I'm just trying to educate you a bit more because it feels like you are just opening up a HPI magazine and picking a bunch of pretty parts that are going to cost you $50,000. Pretty ironic considering when you were trying to sell the GTR you kept having a go at me telling me how there was more important things in life than a car http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=272242&view=findpost&p=4624508

The main thing I have noticed with the PM system is that there is no longer a "SENT" folder that messages automatically go to. Instead they are all together in one folder. Any chance that can be put in again? Also the other thing I noticed last night is regarding the Feedback. People that had negative feedback prior to the change over now have a neutral feedback instead?

I'm just about to PM every one who hasn't paid yet
-
UPDATE They arrived yesterday however I was out wakeboarding all day so I wasn't able to accept them. I picked them up from the depot just before so will have them all sent tomorrow morning. Once again we have a small problem. One of the R34 GTT clutch lines wasn't sent (only got 2 instead of 3).... I don't suppose one of you guys would mind waiting another week or so until it gets sent out? I might just see if it can get sent out directly to you to make things quicker. Will let you all know once they are sent. Thanks for being patient guys. Cheers

I just realised that the above post is for the wrong thread

Why go to a larger turbo when you can't even get the current setup to work? Every ones interpretation of lag is different. A GT35 on a RB26 has lag, end of story. Any car in a straight line once on boost at high RPM feels fine, it is in and out of corners while changing gears constantly where you notice the difference. Pretty sure I have proved that point many times up Mt Stuart sitting on the asses of much more powerful cars; including yours. A T04Z or T51R Kai with such big cams will be lagy as hell and gutless for a street RB26, especially in Townsville where we don't have massive highways every where. The 5 speed box is plenty strong, just gotta drive it properly and not do limiter launches every time you go for a drive Your car and your mods. Just seems like you are building a dyno queen when you used to always make fun of such cars.

F**k, I might even fly down with some mates to come check this out. Would be an awesome trip!
-
Yep your payment was received. Still awaiting around 10 payments. While the PM's aren't working, please just communicate through this thread.

Feedback seems to be up and working, looks good How did you do the search?

You can get a set on ebay for very cheap. You had a look there yet?
