Hello I checked the search function but it would not give me any results. I would like to know how to put a RB26 DETT into a R32 GTS-T and what parts are needed.

Hello I have a R32 GTS-T and I want to paint the Cas cover(the thing that covers cam gears and timing belt) and cam covers. How do I do this? How do I remove the Cas cover? Do I have to undo the timing belt and things? If so I will leave it for a shop to do. Should I primer everything? Also can you paint piping and inter cooling piping?

When Is The Time To Change Fuel Pump And Injectors?
335 replied to 335's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Ok, thank you. Just so I will know, what is the reason why you suggest not using the GTR pump? -
Hello I am deciding what to do with the parts I have. I have a R32 GTS-T with these mods, twin front pipe, cat back exhaust, fmic, pod. Will buy a boost controller soon and I have a RB25 turbo. For now I am happy to put on the RB25 Turbo, find a computer and maybe even get aftermarket cam gears and maybe Tomei Pon Cams. Later I want to have 350 hp, but for now the power from the RB25 turbo and later a ecu tune will be ok. But I have access to a 5 year old, R33 RB25 s1 engine. It was ordered new from Nissan about 5 years ago by someone who used it in their R33. The engine has less than 10,000km on it. The engine has now a aftermarket head gasket, (not sure the thickness the man who owned it is gone), a GReddy forward facing penum, and no throttle body. I forget if the injectors are aftermarket or not. I also have access to a PFC for the engine and a Nissan stock RB25 ecu. I do not have a engine loom. Should I use my money only for fixing the rest of the RB25 engine or do the light upgrades to my RB20 first(boost controller, maybe ecu, maybe cam gears, maybe Poncams) and than work on the RB25 engine? The RB25 is from my friend who is willing to sell me the engine, PFC and front penum for cheap.

Hello I have a R32 GTS-T with these mods; twin front pipe, catback exhaust, fmic, pod and soon will put on a RB25 turbo. Looking at computers now. But until I buy a ecu and tune the car, with these mods when is the time to upgrade to a bigger fuel pump and injectors? -
Turbos And Choosing The Right Computer Need Help
335 replied to 335's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
350 is my main goal down the line, for now I just want to get a higher whp than stock and try it with tuning. So even though the flashed cpu has the mods I have, it probably has differences that were tuned for the other car? I could run into problems with it? Would it be worth it to put in a GTR pump? My friend has one he can give me. Where can I get a Nistune? I live in Japan, I can try to ask around but is it something you have to have your computer flashed on a Dyno to do? I have to decide today because the store will only hold the parts for one day, its a popular used after market parts store. How do I get a Nistune? I might be able to have the E-Manage tuned by the summer, I just have to find a affordable tuner. If it is only around 500 dollars I can do it soon. I cannot find any PFC for my RB20 here. I have access to a PFC for a RB25. So the flashed computer is out if I was to choose one? -
Hello I have a R32 GTS-T with a twin front pipe, cat, cat back and cannon muffler. I have a fmic and a pod. I also have a RB25 turbo that I have not put on yet. My goal is to reach between 350 and 400 hp. I know that the RB25 turbo cannot reach that. I have a chance to buy a used E-Manage unit with the loom or $200.00 but no cd or a flashed R32 GTS-T computer for $100.00. The E-Manage is set to 1.1 boost(this is the only info the store has for it) and the flashed stock computer is set for pod, front pipe, catback exhaust, has the boost cut deativated and has the speedo cut deactivated. Which one is a better buy? The stock flashed computer that is just plug and go or the E-Manage? I do not know when I can have the E-Manage tuned. I have to choose by today Japan time. Also if I put on the RB25 turbo, will the computers probably work fine? Also I have yet to buy a boost controller.

If you add aftermarket cams to a RB25, will that take away the VCT? I have a RB25 that I am going to put into my R32 but it has a Greddy foward facing plenum on it. I read that it takes away midrange. Will putting cams in help bring back some lost midrange?

Final Wiring Questions About Rb25 Into R32 With A Power Fc
335 replied to 335's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
So the air con will be wired differently? Not part of the engine harness? Can any one give me a list of exactly what sensors and parts to keep from my R32 and which to put on from a R33? I understand the basic parts that some are saying but I would like to know exactly which ones so I can do this correctl. -
I read that the Greddy reduces the midrange of a RB25 a lot. The RB25 that I just received has a Greddy Plenum already on it, is there a way to bring the mid-range back to the engine?

Hello Finally got my RB25. I was told before about two different wiring options for putting a RB25 into my R32. One using a R32 loom and changing all of the sensors over to the RB25 or using a R33 loom and keep all of the RB25 sensors. Which will be easier to do with a Power FC for a RB25? I want to make sure that I have air conditioning , radio, and my wipers. I read on the Power FC Faq page that a RB25 doesn't have a air temp sensor. Does that mean that the R33 could not give you the read out of the cabin temperature as the R32 can? What does it mean by not having a air temperature sensor? Would I still need to splice wires if I use the R32 loom? Also it was suggested to transfer the RB20's CAS, TPS, Coil packs and other things to the RB25 if I use the R32 loom. Why would I want to put the RB20's CAS and coil packs onto the RB25 if it has it already? Help please, I am ready to start

Hello I finally got my RB 25 engine from what I told everyone about in the summer. It is about 4 years old.(previous owner ordered one from Nissan.) It has a 1.2 metal head gasket and a Greddy Front plenum on it. The engine was sitting in a car ( car did not run, not complete) for a year or more next to the ocean. The pulley wheels have rust. Should I replace all of the pulley wheels? Should I replace the alternator? Should I replace the power steering pump wheel? The last time the engine was in a car, it ran fine.(different car.) What other things should I check for on the engine? help please

ok, I will post a pic, but it will be tomorrow, the place where the car parts are is closed right now.

I am sorry, what do you mean by pot a pick?

I have to check to see if there is a coil pack harness. The person who I am getting the engine from has stuff everywhere in the other car(r34) so I have to find what he had or did not have. I read from my previous post about rb25s into r32 that someone said I can use the rb20 wiring harness, cas, tps, coil packs, sensors, etc for the rb 25. Which would be easier in this case? Finding all of the rb25 parts and sensors or using the sensors and things from my rb20? I know I would have to have a seperate switch for the VCT. I want to do this without lots of trouble. I do not know what things completely he has. The person has left and I have to sort through the parts. I have the power FC for the rb 25. If I go the Rb25 wiring route, I have to buy the cas, tps, sensors, ac unit, etc for a rb25?

It was built new from Nissan. Previous owner order the engine 4 years ago. Not sure if the afm is there. What is a tps? It has the coil packs already. I will check for the afm. So I have to find out if I have a series 1 or 2 afm. If I do not have one, than I can choice based on what series I am going to go for?

Hello I have a RB25 that is newer from the factory from Nissan that I will be getting. It was built with a GTSs turbo on it afterwards with head gasket and front facing plenum. The engine is about 4 years old. Would that make it a series 2 RB25? It is not a Neo, the engine was built to put into a R33. I need to know because it will go into my R32 gts-t and I need to know which engine harness to buy. I have a Power FC for it. Would it be a series one or two harness? Will I need a coil pack ignitor? Help

Wire A R33 25det Or A R34 Neo 6 Det Into A R34 Gt Na
335 replied to 335's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Ok What wiring harness should I use for the R33 RB25 engine? Should I use the R34 DET wiring harness ? -
Hello There is a R34 GT NA that is being fit with a R33 RB25 det with head gasket done, HKS GTSR turbo and greddy front plenum or I can put a R34 Neo 6 DET engine in. I have to buy the wiring harness for the the R33 RB25 DET and aftermarket computer to get it to work. Is it easier to put in the Neo 6 R34 RB25 DET motor? Will I only have to buy a R34 RB25 Det wiring harness and computer and plug and go? Or do I have to have a aftermarket computer for this also since the car was originally a NA?
