Quick Shift Kit For A Auto R32 Gts-t
335 posted a topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Hello Someone suggested that I get a "Quick shift" kit for my auto GTS-T. Does any know where I can get them? I have to overhaul my transmission soon, its slowly leaking and the ATF hasn't been changed for at least 3 years.(Don't know if previous owner changed it or not). Help please! -
Top RB20 Club... do you have over 260rwkw?

Cool, sound like you guys are doing well. Question, you guys seem to know about cams. I have some HKS cams that I got and was wondering what kind of response they might have in my car. The cams are 272 measurements. I have a stock R32 GTS-T with cat back exhaust 3 or 4 inch I believe. -
They look nice!

I thought the GTR's bumpers where too wide for the R32 GTS-T?

Hello I was wondering if anyone has seen a R32 GTS-T with R34 type head lights before? I want to have that look. Please help!!!

I live near Yokohama

Hello I have a R32 GTS-T with about 112000 km on it and it is a auto, I want to change it to a manual maybe. What parts besides the transmission, new inside pedals, and manual computer would I need? Also I can get a new gear box from Nissan for about 1200 dollars. Is this a good idea or should I just get a used transmission? Please help, want to get parts now.

Ok, thanks for the heads up. I don't have a fmic or boost controller yet, so if this is a safe bet, then I will probably go with the 25 turbo, just don't want to damage anything else, having a turbo die was not good. So this nipple thing is the thing I really don't understand. I guess if I had a fmic, I would probably have the nipple already on the piping, so since I don't, where would I add this so called nipple? And what does the RB 25 turbo elbow look like?

Hello Mine is a 91 so I should be fine? I have a choice of buying a used RB 20 det turbo or the RB 33. I need something but dont want to get the RB 33 if I have to spend alot more money to have it work. Both are the same price. I have to decide today. Which choice is the best?

Thank you But want to stay legal

I can get one for 150 dollars but I cant afford to get a computer and have the car tuned, so I want too but if have to tune it, I cant afford it now. Can I run it safely without tuning?

Sorry the page wouldnt load and I hit the button again

Hello Thank you I read that, but what is a banjo? and do I have to buy a new exhaust manifold? If so, what kind? Will the RB 20 Det gaskets match up to the RB 25 turbo?
-
Ok Thank you. Is it worth it? Will having after market cams or cam gears make up for the lag?
-
Ok I will check more. I know that everyone I speak with (some of the guys have GTRS and modded R 33's say that rotors with holes are bad because can break more easier.) The slotted rotors I am looking at are not holes in the rotor but just slots cut into the rotor in a few places. Should I replace the back rotors too? I don't think that they are warped, have to check but want to know if case a good idea.
-
Ok Before I buy this used RB 20 DET turbo to replace my dead one, what if I put on a RB 25 DET turbo? I read that people have done it but no one mentions if they had their car tuned afterwards. Do I need to tune if I put on the RB 25 DET turbo? Is it a headache to do this? alot of extra parts? Will it be more than 10% laggy than stock turbo? Help please, we be buying a turbo tonight or tomorrow.

The reason wont have the hi flow cat right now is because expensive. I think the average price I have seen here in japan is around 800 dollars for a Sard or Tomei or HKS. I have seen the Turbo exhaust pipe for around 100 to 200 dollars and the front pipe for about 150 dollars. I can buy those now. If I can put these on and still have a performance boost without changing the cat now, I will do that. What do you suggest?
-
Well I have to change my turbo to another stock turbo(previous one died) so why I am going to be in that area, I thought it is a good idea to get some more of the exhaust done. If I do the exhaust manifold too, do I have to tune? If I get the turbo exhaust pipe and down pipe but still have a stock cat and a apexi 3" exhaust, will this be fine? Or do I have to get the hi flow cat for this to be effective?

Hello I posted a this post in the wrong area again, sorry but here it is. I have a R32 GTS-T and I live in Japan. I have to replace my front rotors. They were turned once, but a lot of metal was taking off because the rotors were warped. I want to buy slotted rotors but my friends(some own skylines) tell me that slotted are good only for racing. This car is my daily driver, but I would like to go to the track maybe once a month once I get the mods done for my car I want to do. Are slotted rotors fine for everyday driving or should I get after market stock rotors? Help please!!!

Ok, Yes it is a daily driver, but want to be able to go to the track maybe once a month. I live in Japan, so I don't think it gets as hot here as there. Gets humid though. Thanks

There is a place that sells used Nissan parts and mod stuff. They had a FCON for about 700 or 600 dollars but the E-Manage is only 300 dollars new. I would probably have to ride with the full exhaust for about a month or two before I could get the tune, is this ok? Oh and is it necessary to change the exhaust manifold? Thanks!!!

Really Really Need Suggestions: Replacing Stock Turbo
335 replied to 335's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Ok cool, I have a 91 so I will use the WD40. People special in this, but there is a place where I can go that has a garage and tools and people who can help me put the turbo in myself, but I wanted to make sure that it is a job doable by non Nissan people. Plus it will be much much cheaper than having Nissan do it. Do I need to do another oil change when I do this? Thanks!!!!
