  1. Could I suggest including wattage information? I can confirm that an R33 GTST takes 55 watt H1's in the headlights. I suspect that going higher *might* do some damage to the plastic lenses? The Philips globes I bought (55w Crystalvision 4300K) said something about being UV coated so that they're safe to use with plastic headlights. The s2 foglights also use 55w globes, in H3. I was *almost* about to buy some "JAG" branded 100w H3's, but i'll probably play the safety card and try to find 55w globes instead. The foglight assembly is metal, and the lens is glass, so it probably would take 100w anyway. -Steve
  2. What's the progress on this? Still waiting for pics! =-D -Steve
  3. Might? I can see the driver in the car! =-o Damn! That's a fair crash. =-/
  4. Do you know if it accepts the SAFC2? If so, i'll take it. Please PM? -Steve
  5. At the time of writing, there was really nothing available as a drop-in replacement. That being said, the LED's in the auction look to be ideal... they have a flat top for better dispersement of light. The last and largest of those three (12mm) looks identical to the stock holders that you pull out. FYI to everyone else: my A/C LED's are still working perfectly! =-D -Steve
  6. Do you have the stock BOV? Please PM. =-]
  7. Drivers seatbelt no longer available. I have a passenger side front quarter-panel in white, with indicator. Offers.
  8. I bought the high-octane GTR plastic one, and then got a ruler and a Stanley knife. I marked a line from one angle across to another, and it then fit perfectly. Keep running the Stanley knife along the line, and eventually it cuts clean through and you couldn't tell it was modified. =-]
  9. Foggies and indicator no longer available.
  10. I don't know about cross-compatibility on any of these parts. I know the castor arms work on some silvias, and the calipers are sought-after for conversions.... They are 4-pot/piston, off an R33 Series 2 GTST. That is all I can confirm for sure. =-] I had a feeling that the discs are a different size on R32's, and most conversions require the discs (294mm?) also.
  11. Fraid not.. it was used to replace mine. -Steve
  12. I guess editing posts has been turned off... here are the pics! Additions: $5 R33 S2 GTST guard flasher $100 R33 S2 GTST Foglight/Indicator internals. (wires have been cut, but glass/plastic looks to be perfect)
  13. I'll get the pics up tomorrow, but you have first dibs. =-]
  14. Hi all. I have some parts left over from a half-cut I bought. Pictures coming soon, but everything seems to be in good nick with the exception of surface rust on the rotors. I have: $300 R33 S2 GTST front calipers (including whatever pads are in them) $200 R33 S2 GTST front discs (appear to be plenty of wear left) $100 R33 S2 GTST castor rods/tension rods (rubbers look perfect!) $50 R33 S2 GTST front swaybar $50 R33 S2 GTST steering rack (one bent tie-rod, but rack came out of my car and was perfect before the tie-rod got hit) $50 R33 S2 GTST front seatbelts (appears to have electric pre-tensioners) $5ea R33 S2 GTST random interior trim pieces... both kick-panels, some windscreen vents etc. Discounts for multiple purchases or pickup, will post anywhere at your expense. Open to offers. Pickup is in Forestville, NSW. Please reply here. =-] -Steve
  15. As Basti said, the circuit is looking at resistance, and you have half as much as you need. An inline resistor should fix the problem, but I don't know off the top of my head how much you'll need. At a guess, i'd say you could measure the resistance of one of your bulbs (multimeter on positive and negative of globe, which you take out to test), and then buy two resistors of that value and then wire them inline somewhere. (one for left, one for right)
  16. OK, i'm desperate for a definitive answer! I have the whole thing back together, but I have left the airbags disconnected. Anyone?
  17. Please PM me price for radiator shroud and fan blades (if great/perfect condition) delivered to 2087. Also air diverter actuator (fresh/recycle air actuator) please! (inside dash) -Steve

  19. Any ideas guys??
  20. Sorry, double post. Please reply to other post!
  21. I have started this thread in the cosmetic/styling area, but that was probably a mistake... Hi guys. My car was involved in an accident recently, which fired off the airbags. I have replacements that I have pulled out of a half-cut, but I have a few questions: 1) Are they safe to handle when disconnected? (i.e: is there ANY chance of them going off?) 2) Are they likely to go off when I put them into my car (which is still being repaired) 3) Do I have to do any fancy ECU trickery afterwards? 4) Do I need to replace any sensors or anything other than the airbags themselves? Thanks in advance, i'm really keen to get my car back on the road! -Steve UPDATE: OK.. so far from googling I have the following: 1) Disconnect negative terminal of battery. 2) Disconnect airbag fuse. 3) Allow 10 minutes for residual power to dissipate. 4) Replace airbags 5) Re-insert airbag fuse 6) Insert ignition key 7) Re-attach battery clamp And an old, old SAU thread about pressing the drivers door-light switch 7 times, once per second within 10 seconds of turning the ignition on if the airbag light on the dash stays on or flashes. God I hope these don't explode in my face! (again)
