  1. Bum. With such an attractive car in the first post to really show the style and finesse of the event it's hard to say no, but alas i'm working the nightshift before and after the event =-/ Might be the first one in 2-3 years that I miss?
  2. Well when I replaced mine twice, both old units were impossible to open with out breaking... if you can find a method and make the cogs you'd be in business! I think it's nearly impossible in S2 with passenger airbag, but happy to be proven wrong!
  3. Disconnecting it will do no harm, you just won't have control over face/feet/demis etc
  4. Well if there is no proof where the photos were taken, I would assume any photos would be cool? Not sure the insurance company is monitoring this thread.
  5. Gah! Baby will be three days old... no chance I can come =-/ I expect excellent note-taking, Geoff! =-D
  6. I think these rules are probably to cover off circuit-drifting which is high-speed stuff. It's not like there are any walls to smash into or curbs to roll the car over on... but if a claim needed to be made and someone had footage of the incident and there was smoke involved, then I suppose legally they could reject the claim.
  7. Thanks for clarifying!
  8. Wow. ok! I'm not sure on whose head it would be, but I have a mate whose kid would like to jump in my car and I want to be above-board. I'd like to be able to tell him yes or no soon so he can come dressed appropriately and with a helmet. Indemnity is fine, my mate will sign off... as long as you guys are cool, we're cool. =-]
  9. Yeah we've had kids before but I didn't know if there was any legal requirement, thanks Tez!
  10. Hey mods, is there an age restriction for passengers?
  11. Yeah I have done up a Z32 ECU with a Nistune board... but I thought a quick ECU swap for more boost would be a nice thing. I don't have the cash for a tune (and possibly never will) and i'm maxing out the AFM at 11psi. =-/
  12. If I can have my car scrutineered at 11am I wouldn't have to get up at 6am to get there for a 7.30 check-in! =-D
  13. MMmmm.. I didn't actually know there would be coffee, so I brought my usual Thermos of black gold =-D Cafe2U is a franchise, so there is no benefit to the sick guy to make any effort to cover his rounds... he probably can't even get in trouble! I suggest we try and replace Cafe2U with Harry's Cafe de Wheels... so I can get a fancy hotdog. ;o)
  14. Who is in 2099? Not far from me! (2087)
  15. Thanks to the organisers for another wicked day! I wish i'd brought more tyres! Courses were really excellent too! If anyone caught any footage of my black r33 #16 i'd appreciate it! =-D
  16. PHEW! Thanks! I got new (used) tyres and packed the car today and went to check I was on the list... then checked my email... then checked my transfers. heh. Glad my day of annual leave doesn't go to waste!
  17. I think I forgot to register and pay etc while I was looking to get the time off work. I have put the transfer through now but I can't find any links to forms. If it's not ok just to turn up and fill it out, let me know. I have emailed the Gmail account with transfer details! -Steve
  18. I had something similar after I put Cusco caster arms and some thick whiteline swaybars on. The stock endlinks are a little weak and my whole swaybar had shifted a fraction over to one side, and as the suspension went up and down the caster arm was hitting the swaybar. The swaybars are the thickest non-adjustable ones that Whiteline make for the GTR, but they fit on my GTST. I bought whiteline locking rings, but they didn't fit... in the end, I loosened the swaybar U-brackets a little, and crowbarred the swaybar back to the middle, tightened it all back up and now there is no more knocking. Let us know if this helps!
  19. Yeah I only noticed when I got home and looked at the photos on my laptop! I've cleaned the lens, but it could very well be on the mirror or sensor... newish D7000 and I haven't ever cleaned it! My 7-year old Pentax istDL was never cleaned and I didn't get spots all over it like this. =-/
  20. Yeah unfortunately that will be the case for every video I have as my batteries died early in the day and I brought the wrong battery grip batterypack. =-/ If anyone wants their vid removed due to embarrassment or other reasons, feel free to PM me. =-]
  21. Yeah mate! Better than when *I* was holding the camera! (probably because I was shooing flies the whole time?) ;o)
