  1. Would the bass-capability really be an issue if you run a sub? In my previous cars, i've tuned the head-unit flat for the speakers, so they each do their own thing (3-way speakers) with their crossovers, and used the sub to make the low-end sounds that the smaller drivers cannot. This almost guarantees that you won't get distortion from the smaller speakers, as they have less frequency to cover (no bass, just mid and high). And as another bonus, your doors will stop rattling! =-D
  2. Remove "ABS" globe. Fixed. ;op
  3. They "dazzle" me, and i've always heard (once from a police officer) that the "driving" lights fall under the category of fog lights and can't be used as such. I must be wrong, fair enough. =-] (although if you drive behind me with them on, I will usually pull over, then follow with mine on. Not surprising how many people change lane when that happens, or dim their rear-view mirror)
  4. Howso? Was it curved ever so slightly that it was impossible to see with the human eye?
  5. Teehee! I bought the globes today, so now it's worth the effort of hooking my RCA's up to my headunit. =-]
  6. Harrr, matey! Thar she blows! Nissan FAST screenshot of the series2 foggies. 26719 or 27619A Whichever one ISN'T the indicator globe =-]
  7. Tell me how to pull them out, and i'll do it tomorrow! It's illegal to use them in suburban areas, and to be honest, I use them as often as high-beams. (read: I couldn't tell you if they even work!)
  8. Get it machined to a flat surface? I did get this done when I put the new clutch in. Looked dead flat too.
  9. Over Clockers Australia... its the site where you learn how to spend $300 on watercooling for your CPU, to get it's speed up to a processor that would cost you $200 more to buy. =-p
  10. That's correct. Gotta use the hand controller to check!
  11. Yes.... post up ALL the pics... =-p
  12. Hey! People put 500rwkw R33 GTST's on eBay. ;o) http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1
  13. The glovebox is for gloves only!
  14. Not sure.... but you could definately try Redline's oil in your box first!
  15. Well I had a heap of fun, and I hope you all did too! There were about 3 people that came without RC's because they'd broken them... oh well! Next time! Everyone seemed pretty happy with the location, even though it was a bit of a drive for some. It is out of the way, noone complains, and noone will ask us to move on. This, and qwux has a small supply of track-making equipment (along with my newfound collection of nursery plant pots), which makes it much better than just freestyle drifting. Someone took photos, so i'm sure they will put them up, and the video will be up in a little while! (on the SRCD forums) Future RC drifting will be announced on the SRCD forums, and not on SAU, so be sure to sign up if you're keen for the next one!
  16. Ooh.. very small!
  17. oh... ta!
  18. Buggy tyres... sometimes it's best to buy PVC that is a fraction SMALLER than the tyre, then squeeze the tyre inside the PVC (while it's still on the rim) If you want to mount directly to the rim, use electrical tape and wrap the rim until you can just *barely* squeeze the PVC on. Keep the tape tight all the time, and count how many complete revolutions you do... this makes it quicker for the proceeding rims.
  19. hehehe!! Oh... If it's pouring down with rain tomorrow, obviously this will be off. The courts are outside. Otherwise, it's looking good for tomorrow! =-D You can use www.travelmate.com.au to map from your house to Abott Road in Curl Curl. Use the map-maker option. =-]
  20. I guess I should have been asking Jetpilot that question, since it was HIM that replaced his. My mistake!
  21. Nah, i've taken them out before (read my post above). I just didn't pull the actual BULB out of the holder when I pulled the holders out. I don't want to dismantle the dash, then have to drive down to JayCar or whoever to get the bulbs with the dash apart. (I also CBF putting it back together just to make a trip to get bulbs, and have to pull it apart again) =-]
  22. Ahhh... righto! I think I put that key with the override code somewhere... Guess I have to find that first eh? Thanks, Richard!
  23. Like it says, does anyone know how to make sure the siren doesn't go off if I disconnect my battery? The manual mentions something about the siren/backup battery under the bonnet. Anyone done it? Or how does it work on your particular alarm system? Much appreciated!
  24. When I was shopping around, I noticed that this is an incompatibility thing. I saw alarms that allowed turbo timers to be wired to them, and turbo timers that allowed alarms to operate in conjunction with each other. That said, I don't know what the workaround is, or whether your gear is compatible, but it could simply be a wiring thing. Might want to ring a Black Widow installer and ask if your model alarm can work with a TT.
