  1. i wanted something from america because i jus did n what i wanted in jap rims cost 5000+ so this is what i chose. I wanted something from America, as the same style from Japan costs over $5000. This is what I chose:
  2. I beleive there is a bolt in the middle somewhere, possibly more. Definately not just screws holding it on. I found a thread where someone described how to do it a while ago, but no pics of the locations of the bolts. Can someone please post up a pic of their front end, and circle where the bolts are hiding?
  3. front looks like a beemer. Back looks like a Monaro or vulva. Wheels look kinda BMW too.
  4. The R34's show the G-sensors digitally on the dash for 2000 models up, and mechanically for 98-2000 models. The R32 GTRs and GTS4's have a couple of G-sensors around the place, but you don't get to see what they're doing. I think they would go to the ECU though.
  5. blue-tack? no... bad... Tweeters are directional. The sound does not carry like a sub would. You really need them around ear-height, and infront of you. Many people use the plastic sails that cover the electric mirrors. You can run the wiring right up the door-trim, and drill a small hole in the sail for mounting and passing the wire through. The sails come off very easily, but make sure you don't break the knobbly bit when you put them back in!
  6. That doesn't sound right... they should be a real prick to pull off... but that explains it I think. You go for the brakes, they lock onto the disc/rotor, which spins 1-2mm till it hits the studs? Dunno... noone else has piped up, but I recken there's something fishy there. What sort of discs do you have on it?
  7. You pretty much always need to cut bits of the front bar when fitting a front-mount... from what i've seen/heard. The fan needs to be trimmed on some kits that don't fit 100%. Bad luck with your A/C pipes... time for a regas! Don't use superglue on those radiator pipes dude.
  8. Hmm... fair enough. Thought i'd still catch SOMETHING off-boost (vacuum). I'm not worried about it pinging due to oily air... i'm running very stock at the moment. =-] I can run longer pipes easily, or remove it from that side if need be.

  10. Calsonic make exhaust products too, and I beleive the R33's came with an optional exhaust control valve. A butterfly that opens or closes the 2nd outlet from the dual-outlet muffler. And guess what!? 28488 comes up as "CONTROL ASSY-MUFFLER" Soo... have a look at the right-side exhaust pipe from the rear muffler, if your car is standard. Does it have it? I checked mine a few months ago, hoping I had it. =-[
  11. Search the forum. There is a thread with a "how to install", and a link to a torrent. I'd offer to give it to you, but you live in "Logan City".
  12. If you trace those wires, they'll probably meet up with the stock Nissan harness/plug. The wires you're seeing are probably from an old head unit. If it's an R33, there is a good guide in the DIY section which describes which colour is which on the Nissan harness. Lastly... if it's not a power wire (check with a multimeter), it shouldn't do any damage at all. Reversing positive and negative on a speaker generally doesn't do anything harmful either. I would definately recommend testing the wires on their own though. Get a multimeter, set it to its continuity buzzer, alligator clamp one wire, and touch the speaker-end of the wire with the other end of the multimeter. It'll buzz if there is a "circuit" or "loop".
  13. It has a branding on it. "Calsonic". They make air conditioning bits and so on... Do you have an active diff? We just discovered another box under the parcel shelf of series2 R33's is a fuel management unit of some sorts... so who knows what sort of gadgetry that box of yours is!
  14. well.. here's mine: http://srandy.com:81 have a look at the catch can section. That's how I did mine anyway. =-]
  15. Are your brake-pads tight in the caliper? Checked the caliper bolts are on tight to the bracket? Sounds like something is shifting position... although a loose hub is weird... all the cars i've ever owned have really tight hubs, with no play at all. Might be worth checking your bolt and split pin. You're talking about shaking it vertically, right?
  16. Well there you go! I didn't even have to look it up for you!
  17. My series 2 doesn't have it. Shock sensor or something? It's pretty large though.
  18. Yeah, my left one gets condensation in it. I'm yet to pull it off and reseal though. Pull yours off and clean/reseal it. But I have also see this effect when using different tinted indicator globes. The orange globe gives off a reflection when it's not even on, and can make the clear bit look a different colour. Buy two new ones and slap em in if the above doesn't work.
  19. punch the screwie through it mate. Have the new one ready to go on. (and a mate who can drive you to the store if it's the wrong filter)
  20. When I bled my system incorrectly, it did the same thing. It actually fell to the floor though. Didn't come back up. Definately the place to start.
  21. correct... auto controls the fan speed to bring the temp up or down, and then maintain the temperature that you selected. setting it to 24 or something will still make the unit blend the two together.
  22. lol.. you just removed it? I found mine when I made a new parcel shelf recently.... No idea hey!? Can you read a part number off it? I forgot to write it down. I was going to look it up in FAST to see what it is!
  23. Mine too... heaps of people have this problem. If somone can tell me where it is, i'm keen to have a look and see... at least.
  24. A: The ones that flow the most. But "best" depends on what you have! Bigger injectors can squirt more fuel, but do you need to? Are you maxing out your current injectors? If you're after stock replacements, and you want to know which brand is the better quality, then ask for that. Otherwise, it might pay off to have your current ones reconditioned. (ultrasonically cleaned, baskets changed, rings changed.)
  25. Like said above; the 2L will be pretty sluggish. Mate of mine bought one, and gave me a drive. It had the usual mods, but it was pretty laggy and slow. Handled like a dream though, and he did some wicked stuff on skidpan days. He has an R32 GTR now, and there's absolutely nothing that it's missing. Goes like the clappers, and it's stock! Call Just Car, and get a quote. I'm sure it's not going to be 9K. A quote for HALF of that would make me frown!
