  1. yeah that i figured ... but if it is increasing boost by bleeding air off through a PBV then it would just be stock (wastegate setting) and bled off setting ... what I'm concerned about is that it doesn't look like there is any feedback to control the boost pressure...
  2. Hi all, I was looking at purchasing one of these however I am second guessing my decision ... I would like to know if this is just a glorified bleed valve with an electronic bypass ... the way the diagram looks it seems to bypass air through a pneumatic bleed valve once the rocket switch is turned on? Can anyone verify?? I asked the company selling them but they haven't replied yet... Clicky

  11. ^^ stock lines can still have been thrashed ... best bet is to buy one from a reputable shop and import exactly what you want ... pay a little bits more and you'll be so much more happy in the long run if the car has a dodgey history and your not exactly sure what has been done to it walk away now and save yourself some trouble in the long run also don't be affraid to buy a modded skyline but just make sure whomever you buy it from has kept records of the build and maintenance etc etc... there is also a good section in last month HPI about choosing a skyline ... take your time and look around and you will be much happier in the end
  12. this caR is like one of 'those' girls you meet in a club when your drunk ... you know its a bad idea and you should pack your d**k up and f**k off home so you don't regret it in the morning, but some how you manage to tell yourself its ok and go for it anyway my 2 c ...

  19. I don't think they make one I think they are model specific. my pod didn't need an adapter it had the correct gasket and holes to bolt straight up ...
  20. check the thread I posted above ... its engineered to suit aussie road conditions it height adjustable also!!! swaybars make the biggest difference to your cars handling if you want your car to handle better the get some new sway bars if you just want it to look good then lower it. + everything in there is legal even the bushes and things best setup for your car if you are going to be using it mostly for a daily
  21. ^^ This thread is becoming like crack. Everyone knows its bad but once you've had a try you just can't leave it alone. In a comparison between Skylines and Supras the scale would go like this: 1. Any GTR 2. Supra 3. Gtt and Gts-t Also the 33 GTR is a great daily and cruiser much more so than a Supra. Nice and roomy with a reasonable size back seat and boot. There are lots of Skylines for the same reason that there are lots of WRX's ... they're excellent, affordable performance cars. And as for the fella who said that the Supra is a Grand Tourer and the Skyline is not just what do you think the GT stands for in GTR? (Gran Turismo/ Grand Touring)
  22. 4wd cars are inherently more difficult to get power down past a specific point because as you transfer more power to the rear wheels the front becomes unweighted ... which causes wheel spin on the front end. So in reality a rwd car will run lower times more easily as the wick is wound up (1000bhp +). Having said that though aren't there GTR's running fairly stock motors with big singles running in the 10's? If 2rismo can get into the 11's with a GTS-t running stock turbo and motor I'm sure that a GTR could get down to a 10 on a stock motor. What the GTR does much better than a Supra is being an all rounder. Properly modified you can have a 10sec car that is still a great daily and a more than capable track weapon. One other point that people need to remember is that the RB26 is designed to produce oodles of responsive power not just outright power. I'm sure if Nissan wanted to they could have just popped an RB30DET into the GTR but they chose the 2.6l capacity for a reason. Twin turbos were chosen for a reason. 6 throttle bodies again for reason. Yes RB's do have there -'s like oiling problems at high rpm (starvation & pump) and their weight but Supra's have issues also. Supra's have a crap throttle body setup and a stupid stock turbo setup and are also heavy. Both engines are great for different reasons. From reading the posts in this thread defending the supra the only thing they seem to have going for them is their over engineered bottom end whereas the GTR has multiple good points to offset the bad points. My 2 Cents *climbs into his flameproof suit*
