  1. lol ... posted at the same time Al
  2. true didn't notice that ... probally had to gap them that low because standard coils are getting a bit long in the tooth ... I don't think that the boost dropping off would be the gapping of the plugs however, but I have been know to be wrong. Occasionally.
  3. If you are running the standard turbo, which it sounds like you are, it is getting out of its efficiency range. Most standard turbos can't flow enough air at high rpm hence they become a restriction and constrict power past a given point. There are a few solutions; 1. Turn the boost down until it stays flat (which you have done) 2. Get your turbo high-flowed and run more boost 3. Get another turbo Anymore than 11 psi on the standard turbo is asking for trouble anyway stick with 11psi for now. Hope that helps p.s. you'll get more power on colder days at the same boost setting generally
  4. budget for $800~1000 for a comprehensive tune ... and $500~$700 for a get everything working ok tune remember tuning isn't just always about punching numbers into the ecu ... the workshop that carries out the tune will most likely do a thorough check of the mechanical side of things to make sure your car can handle it and you may need a new set of plugs, full tank of gas etc etc. also the better and reputable the tuner the more it'll cost generally. best thing to do is talk to your tuner and see what they reckon. Hope that helps
  5. Thats the modified (by Lambo) version of the lambo isn't it? They call it a super sports or something .... its made entirely from CF and they added a supercharger to boot.

  8. does R35 even have a speed limiter? if so how does a do an 11.6 sec quarter mile with a terminal speed of less than 180km/h? feel free to flame me if i'm making a stupid comment ...
  9. might have to do a little sneaking around just jap's shop ... I really want to see one of these in the flesh
  10. Just have to make sure then that the DVD player that you buy plays our dvd's or is region free I general back everything up on my PC anyway and then mix and match DVD's anyway I'm sure that you can change the format/ region that you burn a dvd in.; can't you?
  11. you watch now that nissan has done this it will catch on like wildfire ... IMO
  12. ^^ I read that test too (on 3A pod). Can't remember but is it oiled? I don't think it is.
  13. hmmm... so the gearbox will be that far back ... I guess the positive is more even weight distribution correct?
  14. auto sparky next stop IMO
  15. I've always been a skeptic about piggyback ecu's or signal benders ... I reckon its a fine line between happiness and disaster with them. They are really only good for minor modifications and if you are considering going and spending the money on a bigger turbo, injectors, etc etc you might aswell save up and get a whole new ecu to go along with it. This might be an expensive option at least this way your going to have the least headaches overall. Do it once, do it right <--- IMO I've been looking into this new to Oz ecu the Tomeii Reytec ... which is basically the standard computer modifeid by Tomeii so that it becomes a completely programmable unit. From what I read going this route you can keep the factory computers fail-safe mechanisms and are able to tune for almost endless modifications. It appears to have a data logging function also! Best ecu at the mo IMO
  16. neither ... k&n is no good because its an oil element which stuffs the accuracy of your AFM & HKS mushroom pod is about the shitest pod filter on the market. your two options should be: 1. Use a genuine Nissan replacement element in your standard air box (not a cheap Taiwanese one) or... 2. Get an Apexi Power intake <--- these are show to have the best filtration and flow. Only go the second route if you are going to do Heat Shield/ Pod Box and cold air induction. Otherwise you are just going to lose power and place extra stress on the engine albeit minor every bit helps. Hope this helps
  17. The offset difference on the front and back makes it look like Gts-t ... Not very gt-r IMO The standard rims look much better!!! Do you think that they will change the body shape much? Because it is already very slippery. Would be nice to see some hectic wide guards and massive dish!!!
  18. wow! not bad for a commonwhore! that would be an insane ride with holden shitty chassis
  19. ohh and if you want to go SII front bar you will have to get the lights, front guards and bonnet to make it all line up properly cause SII lights are slimmer and squarer in finish than SI (someone correct me if I'm wrong) hope that helps
  20. nice car bro congrats only thing I don't like is the front bar would look much better with a modified 95 m-spec front bar ohh and lowest legal ride height in NSW is 100mm ground clearance at the lowest point on the car ... so if your exhaust is the lowest point on your car it has to be at least 100mm of the ground to be legal it seems to be sitting at a nice height now I wouldn't go to much lower than what it is now hope this helps welcome to the skyline fraternity !!!
  21. not really but I'm also interested in finding out this info cause I'm in the same predicament sitting further back would help balance out the front weight bias if only marginally
  22. NA engine plus box should be cheap as ... call a couple of wreckers and ask about whilst the motor is out of the car give it a really good service i.e. timing belt, seals etc etc if you do most of the work yourself should be relatively cheap
  23. reversion is bad! reversion = kill turbo does sound pretty cool though don't worry skylinekid there's still love!!! c'mon group hug
