Hay guys i bought my car and its been a month or so should be on the boat hehe =) its a 180sx 97 model and yesterday i was looking at the pic and i have no idea what some of the things in there are ? on the bottom passanger corner it looks like the the cover is off and might have after market ecu the others have round circles around them any ideas?? =) appreicate all your help =)

yea iam planning on getting the El quang like INSANT but i donno what to do first the EL guage heeh =-) or my stereo or my alarm i want to take it to a professinal who knows what their doing and can offer a warenty =) dont want to **** up my speed and revs heeh =) any one know any one in melbourne hehe =)

what do you guys mean by a capaistor u mean a lil capasitor lol or is it somthing else? what it do just charge up hold voltage?

guys does this mean that 180sx are under that rull to can i drive one if iam on ps hehe

well i will go with what they guys say =) should look as fast as it goes but remeber the more fancy you make your car look they more attention it gets so if you are a very padantic person and worry about it all the time i would advise not making it full on hot with kits etc. there are a lot of jelous people around these days so take that into consideration as for driving it i would say the same thing as most guys say if you are sensible respect the car and the poeple on the road you will be fine just dont get carried away with the car and the power =)

Guys i have herd all this stuff about pinging? just from you guys talking =) saying somtimes that at high boost the engine pings tuning this that and fuel now what is pinging and what does it do to the engine? and how can you tell if your car is pinging? Thanks =)

Hay guys i was talking to a guy at autobarn hehe =) iam getting one of those oddessy dry cell battarys 12V 1000 amp =) and i was telling what kind of sound system i was putting in my car and he goes you should give your distributor a good service bushes etc? what did he mean by this? does it cost a lot to do this? and how does it help me lol =) Thanks =)

ahhhhh get a 180sx =) i reckon they are better than the s14's and have better handling then them =) dont like the look of the 200sx =) and skylines theres soo many around like afew of you guys said =) what is going on????

when u guys say its compatible with turbo timer how do you mean? how does it work coz i rang brant and spoke to em and there alarms i dont think are compatible with turbo timers and it is illegal to have that function in your alarM? how would it work by the way would the car arm as it is on ???

hay ula32 mines on the ledge bit above the 3 centre console gauges. used double sided tape and the stand that came with it. not above the dash line, easy to read, no hassles (so far).... what did you mean by the 3 centre console quages hehe? does the double sided tape stick preety well? =)

Hay guys iam thinking of installing the Rsm and Avcr when i get my car and i wast thinking of putting the AVcr under where the cdplayer is i herd they come with a lil plastic thing that is made for that spot =) and as for the Rsm i didnt really want to put it on dash and drill holes through it etc. =) i was thinking of getting one of those Apiler things. that hold the guauges and put the rsm in that spot? dont know if it will work but its an idea huh +) hehe or get one custom made? any one know where poeple make this custom plastic stuff up??? in melbourne heeh Tell me what ya think where did ya put yours =) and post any pics if ya hve -)

Man all i can say . excuse the language is its ****ED !!!!! damn this stupid system. ahh another 19 year old just like me in the same situation how are ya man i got my best quote off famous classic car insurnace for 3150 for my 97 180sx type x. now thats the best deal i have found and iam actually going to pay that cash +) yes iam hehe call me crazy =) well buddy i learned from the guys here and it goes if you cant afford to pay insurnace they u cant afford the car man sounds harsh yes. i hate it when they all said that but its true my reconmendation save some cash insure it under your name. dont take the risk just like me your young and can somtimes do stupid things =) i admit i have and learned =) so get full comp =) thats my 2 cents =)

well basically Type S is the non turbo one Type x is supposed to have the better engine which starts at the 94 + thats the series II then you have series III 96 + which have updated interior round skyline lights at the end etc and Type R goes all through those series its bacially afew extras like leather steering wheel etc type r or type x way to go

well personally i dont trust any dealers out there damn all bastards buying em i know quite afew deaers with show rooms or impoters with showrooms and most the time you will find =) that they own a pannel shop accross the rd =) well from what i herd MSA imports are very dodgy afew poeple told me they went to jail twice for cut and shuts and also you will notice they every car of theres has a body kit on it why? you think about it =) The only person i trust is Craig From J-Spec =)

Hay guys iam just enquiring abuot diffs dont know a hell of a lot about them just asking for my car not sure what i will get in it its a 180sx but whats is the difference between lsd 2 way on what else there is around and also how much are diffs worth? well preety good ones =)

well well the big question importing here or getting it from japan =) i asked that question too my self when i was looking at buying a car it all comes down to the waiting game. are you a patient persion can you afford to wait for your car to come from japan into australia?? also do you have a car while you are waiting for your other car? do you want mods or just a stock car. i really dont trust any dealers around here becuase i know most of em buy shit or smashed cars fix em and sell em for double the price =) so its up to you. i recconmend importing my self i have actually just imported a car and paid for it. it should be on the boat on japan =-) good old 180sx I getting it through J-spec and he is the best. Very friendly and i know he allways gets the good shit hehe =) so in the end if you can afford to wait i reconmend it. also a lot of people are talking about the new law. THe new law wont allways be a problem depending what car you want to import. if you want a skyline and can get it for a similar price from there then go for it. Also i have herd a lot of people importing nice stock cars from japan. But nearly all of them now sold their stock cars and just bought a nice car with some good mods from japan costing them cheaper then doing the mods =) so theres a bit to think about NOt sure if you understand all of it i ramble on =)
