Kaitoukid: I think it's up to the cop at the time. I stupidly got done for hooning once (little fishtail), car got impounded for 48 hours & I asked what would have happened if it was my parents car. He said if I could prove it I could drive my car to the impound yard & swap... This was 2-3 years ago though... They wouldn't let that dr have his Lambo back when his mechanic was hooning in it. Shadz: I think exactly the same. If you get busted for a third offence & know when you pull over your car is going to be confiscated & crushed that is just ammunition to run. Can definitely see an increase in high-speed police chases....
  2. I'd probably grab one depending on price...
  3. Sweet. ^^^ Are they pics of the replicas from said suppliers or pics of genuine Brides? Also how does pricing compare with original post? I think seat price is fair but postage, etc is a damn killer!
  4. NYTSKY maybe you can suggest a good supplier to the OP? He seems open to suggestions if people know the seats are good quality... I would feel better handing over my money if I knew someone had seen them before & said they were half decent
  5. What car? What globes? Pics? Have done late-night country driving in several cars with high-beams on for hours (with the very occasional dim when another car passes) & never had or heard of this...
  6. So $440 delivery for a pair to Melbourne? What's quality like?
  7. How much delivered here to Aus? & how do you go about getting them?
  8. Thats genuine parts for you unfortunately. I bought a complete R33 for parts & the bushes from that were good so I swapped them in...
  9. Not sure of part number but I asked Nissan about them once for my 32 & they wanted about $20 or $30 each...
  10. Drop pan, change filter then undo cooler return line, feed it into a bucket then run car constantly topping up trans while old fluid runs into bucket. You can expect to use a lot of oil depending on the condition of whats in there. This will get 90% of old oil out but obviously there will still be some remains in converter, etc. Won't hurt at all... As for mixing fluids it sounds ridiculous but I have seen some cars come through the shop that drive like a dream then after a service, flush, whatever drive like crap for no apparent reason... Saying that these were normally old cars. Wouldn't hesitate to change fluids.
  11. lol, just messing with you dude... For all I know you own a GTST! Just amazes me how many people (& not just on here) believe that the ONLY true jap performance car is the GTR. If thats the case why do the jap workshops build other cars at all... & don't get me wrong I love GTRs! Just not one-eyed so to speak. Would ideally build my 32 GTST as a hardcore RWD then later in life build a 34 GTR. The main thing right now putting me off building a GTR is if I started I would sink a lot of money & would prefer to do that with a 34. Where for a lot less money I could build my GTST.... Out of intereset what is your opinion? From your reply it seems you may have some understanding of the benefits of RWD race-cars? In all seriousness as I don't really follow it, are there any/many RWD time-attack cars, either here or in Japan? & how do they rate against the GTRs/Evos, etc?
  12. Yeah, how dare people not realise the GTR is the absolute be all & end all of performance cars! Stupid pricks with their ....... opinions! I for one sincerely apologise... Dont like it GTFO
  13. Is S14 subframe the same as R33? If so is it only the swaybar & upper camber arms that aren't interchangeable?
  14. How much grip is provided by the GTR on corners though? Serious question, not a smart-arse remark... Bought the GTR I have not long ago in need of repair, & most others I have driven are mates so haven't really driven a GTR in anger for quite a while. I know the GTR will rape on launch but how much difference in corners? Serious suspension setup & wide, sticky tyres would obviously be necessary for RWD
  15. Looks like it. Are the blue bits rubber or solid? Would say they have to be removed (try prying out with safety pin, etc) then there will be a retainer holding the pin in which will have to be pressed in (try pin again) while the wire is pulled. If you haven't done it before (& even if you have) they can be tricky/fiddly...
  16. ^^SKYLINE, even with the RB26 in the GTST its still going to be lighter & have a better front to rear weight ratio due to the lack of front diff, transfer case, etc, etc... I am going through this decision as well. Currently have a GTR & a GTST & am tempted to put all the good GTR bits on the GTST & do it up as I believe I can make it a better car than the GTR for the same budget.
  17. Yes at the moment you basically have it set up to increase understeer. Maybe start both on soft (1) & increase rear stiffness until it feels well balanced...
  18. No worries mate Specifically after a 24mm (extra heavy-duty) adjustable rear for R32. 3 point adjustment if possible... Cheers
  19. Are you able to get cheaper prices on Skyline bars if they are bought with the group buy?
  20. Anyone know what magnetic intercooler coils are?
  21. pics of reclineables?
  22. Yes, that is an air diverter. In most cases a lot more can be done for engine cooling... Make some custom ducting so all air coming in through the front bar can ONLY go THROUGH the intercooler & radiator, not around it at all. So loke a divertor but top, bottom & sides... If necessary use foam beside the rad to get the best seal you can
  23. Would probably be keen on the duct depending on all dimensions & price...
  24. X-Rated, I know a place called Mace Engineering make the phenolic isolators/spacers. They advertise them on their website as 10mm or something for around $100 but apparently they can supply whatever thickness you request. Unsure of extra costs though... If you get some prices let us know. & Simon-S14, did you read his whole thread? He welded on to the head, then machined his welding flat, tapped threads, etc to re-create the RB26 stud pattern on his NEO head... Quite a lot of work!
