  1. Keep in mind that import defects dont account for a majority percentage of defect notices issued. I've had plenty of mates with shitbombs get a nice yellow sticker over the years. Not a valid complaint.
  2. heavier rims will affect acceleration. think of it as rotating mass connected to the engine. More mass = more work. F1 car tyres are nothing like street tyres, they are custom made items for the series.
  3. How long has it been since you got a wheel alignment? cheap and quick way to rule out wheel balance, hub issues, etc , and most decent aligners will spot any damage suspension issues while they are at it. Most likely your diff but its somewhat expensive to swap that out.
  4. for new orders, i should add. All existing ones were filled happily.
  5. This guy used to go by the name maxfromaus didn't he? Did some group buys around the place a bit cheaper than this when he was starting up? If so, plenty of pics around, and a lot of happy customers, though he dropped off all the forum/ebay radars about 6 months ago and was pretty much uncontactable by anyone?
  6. Have you tried doing it? Probably isnt an off the shelf kit for it, needs to be engineered, etc.
  7. Yet another dirty move by a ferrari. Seems Michael left a legacy allright...
  8. Best and cheapest mod on just about any car really.
  9. For the record, the gearbox issues when modding is a major reason i went the 180sx.
  10. Sold a rashed pair of dteks with rubber for $400. Kept the good pair. Close please.
  11. also, i dont see the t peice idea working too well. Fluids tend to follow the path of least resistance and although the systems pressurised your flow through the cooler would still be relatively crap.
  12. Also, my understanding is a thermostat still allows SOME flow through the oil cooler even when "closed" so as not to create any air pockets or turbulence etc etc. Goes from like 20% flow to near 100% when "open"...right?
  13. I dont mean to have a go at anyone, but if you've blown 2 sets that last most a lifetime, maybe its technique?
  14. Hold off till then if theres no major reason to change now, would be the best option, wouldn't it? don't want to do something arse-y like coat your 02 sensor because of a bitched up AFM reading and thus A/F ratio etc.
  15. Perhaps the car was in a little side bingle eh?
  16. Though I own a 180sx and love it, i'd have to say the WRX is a better performer and a more practical car. Also, you can have some fun with it more "year around", and the 4wd is a hell of a lot "safer".' that said, RWD can be a lot of fun. More economical for cruising in (less drivetrain loss). I can also fit two people in the 180sx (fold down rear seats, fold forward fronts, practically a double bed, or a car full of camping/dj gear. We can't really recommend one as "superior" as they are totally different vehicles, so it comes down to PERSONAL preference. Also, though you thirst for power now there will come a time when you have a 180sx needing new bushes, tyres, brakes, and interior clips/screws because you keep taking out panels, that you f**king wished you just bought a "newer" car to start with. har har.
  17. edit : oh jesus, didnt look at the date at 5:00am
  18. Is that sarcasm? Or have you thrashed a shitter to death. It *is* fun. but the point is, the guy said he hardly ever drives the line cept to the track etc, and is looking for insurance for it. Seems a cheap shitter, and putting the line on a trailer, woudl be a cheaper option.
  19. Yeah but i'd like to see those stopping distance figures, in a "best of 3". If you did three massive "up to 150 kph - back to 0" stops, in a row, downhill to make it even harder, you'd start to see much bigger differences, i think. For the street though, no doubting its all a bit of wank
