  1. Thanks for the input but if the powerFC is re-initialised then all this should be default right? When you say you've seen these thigns surely it must be on preset or second hand PFCs?
  2. Have you had it tuned yet?
  3. Alright well I've got a few mixed impressions now about what to expect but yeh I think that its possible that out of the box brand new or second hand you can expect a bit of rough idle... Silver-Arrowz - where did you get yours tuned?
  4. fatz had them done by some place in Annandale for around $200. I'm thinking of getting it done at the same place... the guy also flow tests them before and after...
  5. I saw it at Sydney Autosalon... pretty damn fat!!!
  6. Ed you bitch!! my poor baby Anyway bitch a55 you missing a air freshener hahahaha Anyway where are the rest of the pics?
  7. I'm not sure if it was increased for the R33 GTR but my R33 had 7 psi approximately standard. I would doubt the R32 had any less than that.
  8. when are you thinking?
  9. Yep Ed... I'm tuning it on the YangstaDynamicsDynometer
  10. Alright guys let me clarify.... Firstly the powerFC unit is BRAND NEW and has not yet been tuned at all. So this means that its not the settings of that specific car...... In terms of idle he didn't really say why this happened but more that at low revs it "didn't idle well"... I'm guessing maybe it was pinging? cos it would be tuned for a plug and pay situation on Jap high octane fuel. When Nissaner got his GTR with powerFC it was tuned for 107 octane fuel and was pinging everywhere.... I guess what I want to know is if the unit will plug and play directly in Australia and if out of the box it will idle rough (if this is normal or not)....?
  11. Well I haven't actually got it yet. I am just wondering whether i should buy it or not cos this is what the guy described to me. I remember when I helped do my friends that it needed ot be reinitialised and have the right AFM's selected..... But is it the general case that some don't work out of the box?
  12. I'm about to buy a power FC from a guy in Melbourne. Apparently its "as new" and reasons for sale is he's selling his car. When I asked what "as new" meant he said that he has taken it out.. plugged it into his car..... initialised it and then the car started idling really badly down low so he pulled it out.... When I was with Franks and he tried to install it himself it did the same thing (even with the reset)... is this normal for all powerFC's? That they aren't full plug and play and need to be tuned to Aust. conditions?
  13. Nah I'm absolutely serious... the reason I know this is cos about 2 months ago I was gonna buy one cos a guy was selling the FconV Pro for $600 and I thought that was a bargain.... I tried to find out with Ed who could tune it and turned out basically no one in NSW could.... It's an awesome unit and it is a shame cos in Japan it is more popular than the PFC for GTR's....
  14. Cool pix dude....... DRD today was awesome. I just got back from Yum Cha in Chatswood with some of the people haha... Weather ended up great... good to see some new faces and to see one tuff GTR (GTRRRR) and a couple of AE86's.... Initial D stylin'
  15. Actually they don't have the ability to tune th F Con V pro. Dunno who does actually.
  16. I don't know of anyone who has a 2530 that has made 250rwkw. I think a 2540 can do this. I'm sure you could achieve it with a 2530 but I'm not sure how long your turbo would last. Moanie on this forum has a 2530 with a HKS cooler, upgraded injectors, fuel pump, SAFC, exhaust and pod and maybe a few more little things and she makes around 210-230rwkw I think.
  17. Alright I don't know who else is coming from the North at the moment... I know Mona is picking up Tosh in the morning and I'm meeting Kelvin. The meeting place is the Shell station on the corner of Centennial Ave and Bridge St. Darky and anyone else who hasn't been there. You go down Pac HWY until you get to Epping road. You turn onto Epping Rd. You shortly turn left onto Centennial and you stop at the first Shell you see. Meeting here at 6:45. So far Moanie and Tosh, Sura, Darky, maybe BY BY and me.
  18. As long as we got it clear you get the 4 o'clock wake up and I get both the 6oclock and 3 o'clock Kelvin specials hehehe Marc - mate I thought you're car got racked hahahaha It was actaully Ed (Ezekiel) who gave me the call first cos he saw it.
  19. No worries... Helen I'll take this one...one special wake up call comin your way BWAHAHAHA..
  20. As I posted in the main NSW section if anyone is interested on the Northside I'll be leaving from the Chatswood area if you all wanna meet up first
  21. If everyone in the Northside wants to meet up to go we can meet around the lower North Shore.
  22. Don't you F O O K E N dare... but now that i've said that I think you actually will......... *sigh* :(
  23. There's heaps of options when it comes to security and it depends on your budget and how serious you want your security to be. I'm not sure what car you have either... is it a Mercedes E230? Well I wouldn't say that it is necessary to have a tracker then. But in case you do go here: http://www.quiktrak.com.au/
  24. Yeh fair enuf. I'd say its the responsibility of each person to keep it safe. I never go out to the dawn run if i don't feel up to it.......
