Hey, Thinkin about gettin a sunroof installed in my r33. I particularly like the ones that open under the roof like the factory nissan sunroof. had a bit of a search on the net and found this. what do you guys think? worth getting an aftermarket sunroof? are they generally better/worse than factory? It'd be brand new as opposed to ~10 years old from factory so I guess thats a plus for aftermarket. I heard they go for around $2k? I'm still a long way off from that so it'd take quite a bit of saving. Thanks

whats the go on boost controllers in qld? I know they're illegal here in vic, so you might want to mount it somewhere out of the way? same goes for safc. rsm is just a monitor so i think that's legal.

is the installation and calibration etc difficult? do you have any pictures of the white face illuminated (assuming black face will light up with same colours)?

Well, do you have a coilover option (or suggested equivalent) in (for) the group buy? or would that be useless as the spring/shock set up you have outlined has already been "tuned"? Would a coilover set up have the potential for better tuning, or just easier to get where you've already brought the springs/shocks? If springs/shocks really are the way to go, what coilover features would I be sacrificing? I'm really sorry for all the questions, I hope I'm not frustrating you.

EDIT: Also I'll add: lets say Tein Monoflex/superstreets vs sydneykid's group buy which would be better for mainly road use (albeit spirited), with occasional drift/track outing? If my question is too broad please tell me as I'm pretty lost when it comes to suspension. p.s. the bilstein shockers in SK's GB, are they monotube?

Hey, This may seem a really stupid question, but I've asked everybody I know and no one seems to be able to answer me. Exactly what is a coilover? How does a coilover suspension set up differ from a traditional springs + shocks? what are the pros and cons of each? I've got a r33 gtst (street car) and my shockers are really worn (i think) so I'm lookin to upgrade my suspension and I don't know what I should get. Thanks!

hey I'm having trouble with this part here: http://members.iinet.com.au/~ahmedk/07-04-07_1412.jpg how can i disconnect the switch and light so that the panel can come out? also same problem with the antenna switch on the other side of the steering wheel. on a side note, how many of you had missing screws behind the ashtray etc? thanks!

hmmm damn. Well I took some photos with my phone. The taxi driver took some too. Car's got a fresh respray too

So I'm driving up Bell st (towards the tulla) at about 5:30pm yesterday, and I turn left into that little st that's near Coburg Market where the safeway, coles etc is. The cars were all banked up at a pedestrian crossing so I stopped about 5 - 7m from the corner. Few seconds later I feel a hit from behind. Me and my friend turn around and an Indian Taxi driver as just gone up my ass!!! I pulled over, the taxi pulled in behind me, and i got out to assess the damage; the rear bar's been pushed in and its popped out a bit on the sides now. It's also really loose and there's a small crack on the bottom right . looked around a bit more and noticed yellow paint on my exhaust. My bar sticks out further than the exhaust so it must have pushed the bar quite a bit . exhaust is also a bit damaged. Anyways, we're talking to the taxi driver, and before we know it, his taxi starts rolling backwards towards bell st!! the guy must have left it in neutral and didn't put the handbrake on. Just proves that he can't drive!! The driver didn't wanna give me his details, he kept saying I stopped suddenly and there was no damage. I kept insisting to have his licence but instead he just called his brother (who was also a taxi driver). the brother came in a couple of minutes (was near by) and had a look at my car. he agreed there was no damage and everything was "ok"... by this stage i was furious. The damage was clear and obvious, but regardless he still has to give me his details right?. I eventually saw his licence and a copy of his details, and gave him mine. Anyways, anybody know any good panel beaters so i can get some quotes? i don't know what the deal is with import cars, can I just take it to any panel beater? or do I have to take it to a jap specialist? Also, should I call the police and let them know what happened? No one was hurt or anything so it wasn't a serious crash... I've only had my skyline for a tad over 1 month p.s. 2 silver r33's drove past (1 going the other way) as soon as I got out of my car. They might have seen the whole thing so just wondering if you're on this forum in case the taxi driver denies the incident and I need a witness.

hey guys im a brand new skyline owner. was lookin through this thread, some awesome results here and seeing as how my interior is a bit rough i just have to do this too. ive got a bit of a noob question though... how do i remove the dash panels? i dont wanna break anything so i thought i'd ask first. I'm thinking a dark silver might go well with a black skyline. What do you think? thanks!

hey people R33 Series 2. After the front bar with indicators/foglights. Preferably black. Preferably in Melbourne. Front lip is a bonus headlights not necessary but i'll consider if it's for a good price. thanks
