my workshop told me HKS step 2 cams (264deg, 10mm lift) are good enough for what i want.. thing is i "only" got a gt35/40... so yeah. but im pretty sure the motor wouldnt have any problems hitting 500-600rwhp, but the gearbox wont like it. as for porting, i didnt get any done as the 26head flows more than enough, well for what i require anyways

go to calaisturbo.com.au and do a search theres some other stuff u might wanna look into.. but yeh they go "hard-ish" but meh

haha mmmm funny stuff how much is a bunch tho well if the females english is like my friends (which i doubt, coz her english is pretty good considering how long shes been here. and shes improved heaps mainly coz of where we work) that'd be a-okay llol but dang, this makes for some very interesting reading... parking prices through the roof, plus some more spending here and there for other car related bills. CRIKEY! then learning the language? omg i dont know how some of you guys are doing it but it sounds like a real mission, albeit worth it i would think.. but i for one couldnt imagine leaving this country for no real good reason if i had nothing "tying" me down i'd go to japan for a look-around (so to speak)......

hrmmm... i wouldnt be able to earn 50k thats for sure.... i have no "skills" so yeah. and my loan is actually 2... one was 22k then the other 5k. it was for buying a car then rebuilding it etc etc...the fkn motor is costing me a lot, and so are my mistakes.

i cant even do the shannons quote online ?? bah. how much would it cost to insure a VL Calais Turbo with an RB26/30, garrett gt35/40, microtech ecu, 3spd fully manualised gearbox etc etc etc ??? if i can get agreed value on my baby ill be happy... coz im really not willing to insure it for any less than 15-20grand...

go directly to Applied Automotive... a lot of big name workshops in WA actually send their motors to these guys to get built.... so yeah. but heh, theyre building my 26/30 so of course im gonna recommend them

in all honesty i cannot understand how people can go to a country they cannot understand and get paid less than 30grand a year!?!? how much do these ppl end up saving up? LOL i'd love to go over to japan for a while, but im stuck here in Australia coz of my massive loan (30grand, which was for my car) so yeah.... problem is we got a japanese girl at my work on a working holiday visa which ive become quite fond of, and i dont want her to leave gotta make the most of the last few months :'(

i suppose they do make mistakes, but yeah, take it back and "complain", coz its still pretty annoying when u have to fk around with no result and still pay hard earned $$$$ just hope they dont make petty mistakes when tuning.......

so how much will i need on the side to spend??? get 3 coils? theyre 50each.... then the motec ignition expander? would this be all i need to spend? (the car will probably be making around 400-450rwhp and thats through an auto transmission) coz im pretty tight atm... lol and this pisses me off all these things about "batch firing" and "sequential"... *sigh* wish i wouldve just bought an m600 from the start

hey!!! (ive made this topic everywhere.. but i shouldve done it here coz of the head im using) bloody hell had to remake another account because i forgot my username, but hey I own a vl calais turbo and im just about to put a rb26/30 into my car.. the motor is out at the moment (i bought it off someone else who also had a vl) and just before i put it in my car i need to know what to do.... previously the engine was running off a microtech ltx12s (or lt12s if its the same shit whatever lol) and the car is still in its run in tune, at 10psi. so having said this i could get the ecu off the guy aswell, and plug his into my car and away i'd be. he also has a decent coil setup. but id probably give him my motec m4 and i'd pay less for the engine or watever ("cash adjustment") now my dilemma. im really confused and i have nfi what to do with my Motec m4 (which i still own)... it sez on their webpages etc that it can run upto 4 ignition drivers? then people said what u do is batch them or whatever..... but it wont be as good as the lt12s coil setup or whatever...blah blah well this is what ive been told so far - you can run a Motec 'ignition expander' (runs up to 8 coils) and use batch or semi seq fire for inj, no probs Or if you want / like CDI ignitions, use the motec CDI-8 module, easy as. both of these interface directly with the M4 ecu. and then.. "As trev and shazza said, if you dont wanna run the expander, just run wasted spark instead of sequential, with 3 Bosch coil packs and you'll have an ignition output spare. I dont know who told you that batching them will make idle bad, but its totally not true if its tuned correctly. It just means that the coil fires during the power cycle of two cylinders, rather than just one" i am soooo confused and dont know what to do ay. all i know is i gotta buy atleast an "ignition expander" for 330bux or i could pay nearly 2grand for some CDI bs... which seems shithouse coz thats too much. what do yas reckon is my best option.. go for the ecu which is good enough and is aleady tuned etc (microtech) or go the motec way??????? big thx. ps - dont tell me to speak to my tuner lol, i will but its a public holiday on monday, so they wont be open and i NEED TO KNOW WHAT TO DO ASAP!!!!!
