  2. SELLING MY MUCH LOVED R34GTT 4 DOOR (PH: 041237 9177) 130,000K'S BLACK 4DOOR 3"CAT BACK EXHAUST, TINTED, LOWERED (KING SPRINGS), TURBO TIMER FULL SERVICE HISTORY & RECEIPTS $23,500 ONO PH: 041237 9177 NO JOY RIDERS THANKS!
  3. Thanks for all the comments guys. Yea i think the Evo7 is outta the equation as i don't think it would make a great daily driver and is bloody heavy on the juice. So instead its the V35 coupe or the Subaru Liberty GT STi. Anyone know why they charge so much more for the bloody v35 coupe in WA? THey want $51,000 and over east they are all below $40,000.
  4. Hi People... Yes its a sad moment for me, but i'm thinkin of trading in my R34GTt for an evo7 or v35 skyline coupe 350GT. I guess what i'm looking for is suggestions as to if the $20-25K upgrade is really worth it? Also i have heard alot about the evo's being a bitch as a daily driver, turbo lag, harsh gear change etc etc. Any comments from people in the know?
  5. Guys is a set of 19's to big on a 34GTt. 19's by 9.5 38offset and 245/35 series tyres I was told not 2 go past 18's and that the bigger the rim the more weight ur lugging around. Any truth 2 that? Cheers.
  6. How come alot of people seem to say that resetting springs is a bad idea, yet there are various reputable companies that reset springs and claim that they don't alter spring rate or the quality of the spring. For example I called the people at King Springs in Qld and they readily reset a pair of their springs (higher or lower) if thats what the customer wants. I know trucks get their springs reset and granted they are leaf spring but truck suspension is under way more load than any car would be. Here is an interesting article on the topic of resetting coil springs. http://autospeed.drive.com.au/cms/A_3082/article.html Can any1 come up with real/proven reasons resetting is bad especially if you never really intend to take your car to the track and the most you mite consider is a straight line quarter mile? Just interested in what people think?
  7. Hi All!! Just wondering if any1 here knows the factory ride height of the R34 GTt. Cheers.
  8. K cheers, So the whiteline springs sit the car lower at the bac so its all levelled out.
  9. OK! Would I be OK just buying the shocks and keeping the current King Springs as I can't see a huge difference between them and whiteline (do the whiteline springs sit the 34 lower at the bac?) Also what would a set of 4 Bilsteins cost and would it be a problem if i only bought the rear shocks for now? I am located in Perth WA......do you guys deal/recommend any1 here?? Cheers
  10. Thanks mate!! Appreciate the time taken to help me out. Fronts are about 350mm and rear is 355mm. That was why i was thinking of getting the rears reset by 5mm. Or mayb have a made to order set sent over from king springs?? Still considering coilovers or maybe the Bilstein/Whiteline some suggested.
  11. Thanks for the link, so i guess its not a good idea to go for the King Super Low springs?? (my front shocks are brand new and my rears aren't that old either). Also I have had the lowered spring/standard shock combo on my 180sx and silvia without any hassels (however never went super low due to warnings about stuff such as explained in the article). By the way the damage to the castor rod bushes shown are quite common even on imports with standard suspension. Seen it on my skyline, 180 and silvia when they still had standard suspension....just wear and tear....replace with polyurethane Is there a reason that the 34 sits a bit higher in the back?? Or is it just my imagination?? Why is resetting by 5mm a bad idea???
  12. Hi people, I have a 4door 34GTt, i currently have king springs but am not happy with the 'lower' ride height (especially the rear, sits about 5mm higher than front so the car looks jacked up at the bac at times). Just wondering if; 1) I should invest in some coilovers (although I don't plan on using the car on the track and am worried about ride quality). Any1 have comments about HSD HS series coilovers or the G4 street spec? 2) Invest in king spring super lows ( i have seen another 4door 34 with them and looks great, however i'm concerned about bottoming out and the springs not being captive) 3) Just get the rear king springs i have put thru the furnace and reset 5mm lower? I must mention that the king springs do give a nice ride and better handling when matched to the factory KYB shocks. Cheers and thanks for any help/suggestions.
