  1. click here http://www.terato.com/cars/content/view/820/46/ was at sepang circuit to check out the latest GTR. only trackside photos available as the pit boxes were shut. Nismo crews were keeping the car away from media. they started testing as early as 7.30am today, maybe to keep media away...
  2. low impedence = need resistor pack high impedence = no resistor pack
  3. over here in Malaysia, the best bang for buck tyres (best balance between all criteria - dry/wet grip, comfort, tyre life) are Goodyear Eagle F1 or Toyo T1R. the rest are either too biased to dry grip or too biased to long tyre life...
  4. my RE55S came with the rims that i purchased. the grip is awesome when warmed up. almost impossible to do donuts! wear out faster that any of us could imagine! i've used R888, RT215, A048 etc etc in the past and RE55S redefines TYRE WEAR!!!
  5. Chris, I'll worry about that when the engine fails. here's another way of installing the trigger wheel.
  6. PLUGS!!! totally forgot about that! i think i'm still running the same plugs that came with the engine from japan! will change soon and let you know if the problem is solved. dang! how could i forget that!
  7. if you find any solutions, do let us know. its the same problem with my car. boost buildup is fine. after around 3500rpm, it feels "empty". then between 6000-7000rpm, it feels ok(can feel the g force). no boostcut on my car, no airfilter installed (not running airflow), VCT running ok. car is bone stock except for walbro 255, megasquirt EMS. its not about tuning. feels like no boost. boost leak check OK.
  8. here's mine. custom made crank pulley with intergrated trigger wheel. using ABS(antilock-braking system) sensor as pickup sensor. no chance to snap post-installation pic. too tight in there. will post up a pic once i have the chance... take note that at the time of snapping pic, the "missing tooth" has not been cut as the pulley has not been installed on engine... cant determine TDC yet... now running smoothly. hope it helps...
  9. i'm having the exact same problem. everything runs right but the power is not as what an RB25DET is supposed to provide... boost reads nearly 1 bar on the boost meter but feels like RB25DE. if Guilt-Toy is right, then i might have to change to a stock RB25 rear diff as i'm running stock Z31 300ZXT auto rear diff, 200kmh @ nearly 6500rpm @ 5th gear...
  10. i have driven around with bone stock rb25 ecu+740cc injectors+z32afm (no piggybacks/fuellling compensation) for a few days before i got an appointment with my tuner. it ran ok below 3500rpm. above it was just undrivable. too rich i guess...
  11. Over here (in Malaysia) we use Mitsubishi 6A12 (2.0 V6) coilpacks due to the lack of reliability of stock RB coils. But we use Megasquirt instead of stock ecu or Power FC... So far only 1 or 2 cars used this setup (experimental stage) and so far there's no problem...
