Are Police Radar/gps Road Warning Detectors Illegal?
EVILTD replied to O.I.C Napster's topic in General Automotive Discussion
2 things... there are not possible... GPS only detect the next speed camera and that's it... moreover, you'll have to pay for this service - subscribe, pay and all that bullshit... not 100% free from the packet... on the other hand, no they are no illegal and it doesn't do much... Just obey the law, don't hoon and you got nothing to worry about... -
There we have it... R33 rules when it comes to looks... I just bought a new kit for my R33, took off the GT-Wing and have just put in new mods for my car...

Infinti Skyline 500hp Supercharged
EVILTD replied to Silvia GTR's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
too many stickers... should have a G-T wing nor a wossy chick flap... but yeah, looks like Porche or S200.... nothing compared to a R33 (with full kit and mods) GT-R... it rules. -
I am an idiot

Well, this has been covered a few times... so as you can see this isn't exactly the hotest topic in town... However, I think you're better of with a R33 GT-R but make sure you do your homework, research and check out heaps of options as there are only a few around that are in good condition the rest are trashed, smoked and have been day-raped left-right and centre... Well, for your money... R32 is way too outdated, looks like a carboard box on wheels - so in my opinion - no... a R33 on the other hand is more powerful, looks better is is newer - but again, totally up to personal preference... a R34 on the other hand, especially the GT-R's are sex on four rubbers... but don't think you can afford it, the insurance, the maintenance costs plus ongoing expenses... That's my 2 cents... good luck anyways... with you go GT-R be prepared for the costs of maintaining one... I had the cash, but chose to go for a GT-ST instead and chuck some nice mods in... good luck mate... EVILTD

That site was pretty professionally designed, administrated and maintained... the funny this is, it was totally hilarious...don't know about you guys, but why the heck would you want to register your plates and let people dogg you for whatever you do... Well, at least I'm clean...

Hey guys, I saw a really strange Skyline on the weekend in Noble Park Maccas'.... he had the front of a R33 ... sides (was not sure) but also had a back bar / hood etc of a R34... damn... it looked so nice... had neons under the car too... damn.... wonder what it was... So I guess it's a R33 1/2 .... hi h ihi but not quite a R34 yet...

What Not To Do When Trying To Avoid A Kangaroo
EVILTD replied to ProphetR33's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I can relate to this... Around 5 months back - I had a supercharged Honda Accord.... stupid me was drag-racing another car - a Turbo RX7 - basically, I was going at around 145 km/h - then I hit round-about and was airborne for like 2 seconds before hitting a phone booth then straight into someone's front yard... it was scary as... the car was onfire... the supercharger kept roaring as the peddle was damanged and stuck... the whole front dash caved in... it was so bloody scary... but eventually, the police and ambulance came... I am still fighting the legal fees as we speak... it was terrible... I had to be sawed out of the vehicle... it was not insured so I had to wear the loss myself... it created a dint in my pocket since now... that's why I ended up buying my dream car - a black R33... damn... that was an experience alright... one that I will never forget... This is how I look at it... if I died...well, that would have been a pretty sad thing not just for myself but also for my family and wife etc... or had I survived that crash... what if I am a paraplegic or disabled? $20,000 or more is a very very cheap price to pay for my life that's why even though I am broke as - I am still content and happy... money... if you live you can make it again... I can earn $20k in 3 months or so... it will come back... but life...damn... that was scary... Anyways, sorry to hear your situation mate... but chin up... you will bounce back very soon and let this be a life-changing incident... Good luck, keep us postong on here... Kevin -
I've seen a few of these around already... the Silvia body is no mix for a Skyline bodykit... it looks really odd and rather weird... however, a Skyline with a s15 frontbar looks crazy... seen a few before...

Congratulations mate!! Welcome to the world of Skylines and Turbos... mate... 1 minute is a good turbo timer time if you've had a good run... if not, then just 30 seconds is fine... Moreover, with turbos remember to let it warm up for at least 1 minute before you jet off... Laterz,
-
Hi guys, Was just wondering why some people have NA Skylines... I mean, it's a Skyline... known for it's power etc.... why NA, there must be a reason... as there's like 60% NA out there and 40% Turbo... was just wondering why... is there some reason? No offense intended... as I know there must be some reason to this. Cheers,

Nah, there's a saying in my native tongue (Vietnamese)... When the money gets handed over, the congee gets scooped... in other words, a fair exchange is the best method... never expose yourself... but never mind mate, it's over now... a valuable lesson learnt... thanks for sharing it too... I guess we all can share in this too...

Wow, NVCS...damn, I never heard of it... however, I have heard from so thta the NEO engines have a cam-shift system or something that has a more aggressive "kick in" effect similiar to VTEC... I been in a NEO powered SKyline once... it was tuned for the Turbo to kick in at the same time as the cam-shift... damn... it felt bloody groice... anyone experienec this? Also, is it true that this can be tuned in??? Sorry for the this question, I honestly do not know...
-
Spot on answer... that's exactly what I think... if only an RB had VVTI or VTEC or something... how crazy would that be... damn.... high and low end power..
-
This guy needs to be taught a lesson.... LOL
-
OK, I love my R33 Skyline... no doubt about that...with some of my mods, it owns... however... has anyone felt what turbo(ed) VTEC engine feels like? I have... very aggressive low range RPM's... the RB engine doesn't have similiar VTEC technoligy although it is a 6 Cyclinder twincam engine... I don't know - do you think the RB is more powerful overall? Please don't flame... just a general question as I honestly do not know... *bump* ... RB = Race Bread... fact!

I got like 1 year left on my P's... By the way... a NEWSFLASH... just went to the local police station and asked a senior constable... his answers were... if you get your license after July then no turbos, V6/V8 etc... but... before that then you can still... however there's a new law coming out soon... STOCK AS A ROCK is what the Road & Traffic Authorities want sports cars to be... arrive alive they say,... I guess... so for all you modders out there... RICE / PERFORMANCE mods will die unfortunately soon.....
-
damn yo!
-
WTF?? does it only affect p-platers that get their license after the july date not vetrans like me?? or does it?
-

So if I get my canary lifted... I can legally start driving again and deal with EPA matters after and still ok to drive?
-
Hi guys, So I got a WRC to clear my canary... will be bring it to Vicroads very soon to clear my defect... now... an EPA notice arrives asking for me to bring the car into the EPA testing centre to get my exhaust tested etc... So now the question is... if I got my canary lifted etc... does this mean that I am legally allowed (as far as VICROADS is concerned) to drive and then will have to past the EPA test for my exhaust as a separate matter? Or do I have to pass both and get both lifted / resolved etc to start driving legally again?? some quick responses will be good as I will be getting the canary taken off soon - thought if both has to be done, might as well hold off a bit then get both done at the same time to save some time / money now... Cheers,
