I personally don't like it... the stock one looks hot already... but anways... go to XXX bodykits - do search for them on the net.. will cost you almost $2,000 - if I were you, I'd rather go carbon fibre ... anyways... good luck
-
Ok, all jokes aside ... really sorry to hear this bro... I got my windows smashed recently and that hurt heaps... compared to your issue mine was an ant... ok, I actually know some mechanics / repaires and I asked around for you... to fix this damange, it will cost you an arm and a leg... would at least be around $8,000 plus labour... not sure how much labour would cost... so you'll be looking at nearly half the car's worth again... However, if you love your skyline so much... it can be done... the will hvae to basically tear the whole roof off, get metal sheeting to match it side for side, edge for edge, remould it in, repaint it (metalic I guess) then wire all the eletroncis (for lights etc) and also making sure that the interior matches... seriously, sell it to the wreckers and get around half your car back, then put in the other half and get a new ride... fark, I know it hurts... I am feeling your pain now... but shyte happens... my car got canaried tonight.... man, I said to my wife - fark, shyte happens at least we're alive... look at it this way champ... chins up... Good luck, our hearts with ya...

Hi guys, Well, it has finally come to this... I got an aftermarket GT style wing on my black Skyline... looks absolutely awesome - but got a bight yellow one for it... so now I got two options... well, I wanted to get a nice change to it anyways... Wing or now wing.... I've seen a few cars without a spoiler/wing on the back - damn, some look so 'stubborn', 'mean' and 'aggessive' - it really brings out the rear of a Skyline much more... so was wondering if anyone here can post of some pictures of their ride without a wing/spoiler or a small drift wing... basically I just want to see what a skyline would look like without a spolier/wing at all... Many thanks in advance...
-
Ok, before I give you some tips - two things to watch out for when buying a GT-Wing or else you will get a defect on your car... 1. Make sure it is in proportion of your car's backside - make sure it doesn't poke outwards too much... 2. Make sure the edges are not sharp - it has to be bold and/or plastic... as if its sharp, if you get involved in an accident - the likelihood of that sharp bit flying outwards into someones head or something is dangerously high and you will - sooner or later, be stopped by the cops for it. Now, so you want a good GT-Wing (dpendable on where you are) ... try.... CyberCentury aftermarket car parts... ebay .... or go to a good Autobarn or Repco shop... I suggest CyberCentury... they're an Asian car parts/accessories specialist. Good luck... remember, a wing is personal touch... choose it wisely... as it can either compliment your ride or make it look shytehouse! Regards,

Hi all, This is not a new thing - we have all seen so many occurances of the same thing... however, I would appreciate it if someone would give me some pinpoints on the following. My car got pulled over, the cops popped the hood and waalalhh ... I got done for the following... 1. Driving lights were HID (must change) - side parkers were royal blue (must change) - THIS IS EASILY DONE NOT WORTH MENTIONING, I GUESS... 2. Front mounted intercooler + pod filter. Cops said that when it comes to air/compression mods - can only have 1... intercooler way too expensive and hard to install - hence will obviously choose pod filter. So now the question is, how do I make it so that I can maintain my pod filter (is this possible?) and if so - what do I have to do to make it legal - if there's no way to make my pod filter pass the EPA test thing - where do I get the stock filter from and where to get it installed? 3. Blow-off valve - said trumphets on the sides (got a GFB one) must be removed... luckily I got the one that comes with detachable trumphets and two metal slot-blocks so I can plumb it all back. 4. Exhuast - now, can someone please confirm that the legal standard is 98 decibels - when I got mine tested, it was around 92 or something... so I pass, right? If not, they want me to put a silencer in - can this be done to a HKS full cat-back 3.5 inch exhaust - if so, where would be the best place to get it done? 5. Spoiler - saying side edges are too sharp and dangerous - I've had enough and wanted a different look anyways - I will remove the smaller all together. So yeah, those were the reasons for the defect.... They said I have 28 days (around 1 month) to fix all of the above - was wondering, if I can't afford it... how long can I just leave it "on hold" and can they impound my car in any way? Many thanks for your time - much appreciated. Kevin

Nicely put..... I saw a R34 the other day, with REGO VTEKA or something... just wanna say, pretty nice.... most of all, he looked at my R33 and drooled... respect right there... dual respect to a Skyline enthusiast.

Hi guys, my apologies, you are right... I did a typo... HR33 - for turbo... got mixed up with WR instead.... edit to that. -
DAMN, R33's are so hot.... drooling.... there is no doubt, that out of all skylines... and I mean with full kit, nice mags, mods etc... that the r33 looks the hottest!!
-
Nice... nice to see its MORE GO than SHOW...
-
I guess the conclusion is R33, R34 then the R32... is this fair???

Thanks for the response guys - appreciate it! I did some asking around, and it seems R33's were around $45,000 AUD plus import fees when they first came out... By the way, the true and factual name for for all skylines are WR33 - fact. Not just R33 as we know it now... it has just been abbreviated. -
Hi guys, Sorry to start up another post... but this question is way too important (would affect a few) to get go... I've heard a few mates say this, read some newspapers and now have saw a few threads on here saying that P-platers cannot drive Turbos, e.g. Skyline GTS-T's - is this true? I am a P-plater, only had my license granted around 1 year go... the funny thing is, I have never been pulled over, not even once for driving my R33 - it's got the works... mods galore... but yet, cops drive by and even give me good looks... so the question is... has the above rule been inforced, if so when was it made law and what are the consequences - does it affect all P-platers?
-
Hi guys, I was just wondering, how much would have a WR33 cost when it was first released... e.g. a 1996 S3... in it's peak, how much did it cost? I just wanted to know, so I can appreciate it... I heard, a R33 would've cost (brand new) at the time of release - around $45K AUD, is this true? Regards, PS: does anyone have any ads for the R33 from Japan when it was first released?
-
I know... it's in the newspapers and on t.v shows too... GPS theft has climbed to a high... now that mobile phones are so affordable and stereos are becoming much cheaper... the 'thing' nowadays is the GPS... I share your grief... My Skyline got smashed a fortnight ago... some fags smashed both windows to steal my GPS.. I was totally a dick for leaving the unit and the mounting thing in my car and parked it on the streets... it was a disaster wanting to happen... it hurt... like the author of this tread said... if you have a GPS... at night or when you leave your car parked somewhere... remember to take the whole thing, or else thieves will know the unit might just be in the car as let's face it, most of us can't be F (ed) taking it in due to it's size etc.... but yeah, it hurt.... badly... so watch out...
-
Maybe it hasn't occured to anyone, but people with nice sports cars are often 'targetted.' I used this term lightly as some times it does happen although not a proven fact... you know what they say, if you can't have 'em, fark em... well something along the lines of this... LOL

Have You Upgraded To A R34 From A R33?
EVILTD replied to siddr20's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I have to put my hand up again in support... you rock man + rep!! Seriously, there are some people around that think new is better, new is faster, new is cooler etc.... fark that.... New doesn't mean shyte.... new means it comes out at a later date, re-designed etc... and yes, preference is what we all have in a free democratic world... I'll give you an example... older cars are more reliable, have much better interior and timeless looks, why? Because they were built to last, built to withstand, built to impress, built to 'awe' admirers... nowadays, it's all about quantity not quality... Yeah sure, the R34 might have some good points and so does it's humble predecesor, the R32 etc... but hey, I must agree with you.. the R33 if modded right with appropriate bodykit etc... it will look the best out of all others... yeah sure, there's a shyte load of ungly-arse R33's out there... fact.... but there's also ugly R32s, R34's etc... just because someone likes an older car - others with newer cars says things like "dream one, you twart, you moran, weirdo etc..." WTF... maybe even if people had the cash for example (like I did), we would want your newer car if it jumped up and bit us on the arse... how about that ah??? LOL .... man, the R33 rocks.... to me (and hey, this is a democracy after all, right?) - I reckon it looks best... everyone is for themselves! -

Word. The R33 with nice mods (as I said before) + kit etc, look-wise is farken hot!! no-one can deny this! -

EVILTD replied to siddr20's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I hate to rub it in... but (as you find in my other thread) - the R33 is way much better looking than all the others... I'm talking about a full bodykit, nice rims, some rice and mods etc... then the R33 look-wise is just damn sexy... the lines, the curves, the corners, the back and the big lights... damn it... totally unresistable... I have the cash, I could have bought any car... but I specifically chose the R33... for it's elegance, looks and feel... nothing beats the R33... if you can afford it, the R33 GT-R is the king of the road... the R33 GTR can beat a R34 GTR stock.... Ok mate, I would just keep your ride... do some engine mods to it and keep it running well by regularly servicing it etc... REgards, -
Couldn't have said it more better!! Yeah sure, there's more R33's around - so what? More people have it for a reason... if you can make yours stand out in a unique way... e.g. mix and match bodykits... then damn, the R33 is nicest... but the R34 in eletric blue with a full kit - damn, hot too... but in my opinion, the R33 looks best.... Guys, any nice R33 pics you wanna post up?
-
That's great fellas - thanks for your replies.... I guess at the end of the day, it comes up to personal opinion... for example, I had enough cash to buy either any of the above mentioned models, but I specifically chose the R33 ... I love the front and the rear.... having said this, all Skylines if left stock as a rock looks awful - with a nice kit and nice GT wing at the back with nice 18 inch tyres... damn, the R33 IMO looks the best... I think the R33 has a timeless look.... I also like the R34 but not such a big fan of the R32 as it looks a bit too bulky and out of date.
-
Come on guys, I really want this thread to be an informative one... I mean, lets share our pasions for our skylines... ok, so so far, two people have said R32... and one (which is me) believes in the R33 - ok, let's go on.... pictures would be nice too! Thanks all
-
Well guys... I know this is a hard question... but someone had to ask it... Well, here it is.... in your personal opinion, and only based on looks... which is your favourite and why (please provide at least 3 reasons).?? I'll start.... My favourite is a R33 - nice... IMO, the R32 is way too old and boxy looking, the R34 too bulky and boxy looking, the R35 too fat space-shipey...whereas the R33 is class.... nice curves, elegant looking and really has a timeless look to it... put a nice kit and some mods on a R33 - lookwise, it is king of the road no doubt..... Thanks guys.... this is just for a discussion, no meant to offend anyone and their beasts... all Skylines are great!!!

What Is The 'fan' Inside The Turbo Called?
EVILTD replied to bugger's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I've heard really bad stories re: replacing the comp-wheel into turbine housings.... I would not do it, if you change - change the whole turbo, don't mix and match... not good for the car, not good for the long-turn... a turbo kit will cost less than $3.,000 if you get the right pros to do it for you. Good luck mate! -
R33 Side Windows Smash + Gps Stolen1!
EVILTD replied to EVILTD's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Thanks guys - thanks for the support... damn it.... I ended up calling O'farken Brien's.... and they charged me $500 to get both windows replaced with tint.... but the thing is, my beast is now back on the roads so yeah... at least that's ok.... Yeah, I must agree SATNAV's are the latest craze... with mobile phones costing lesser and lesser each day and they're so affordable, no one really wants one... GPS's are the boy-toy now... so if you have a SAT NAV... I would take it with you and make sure there's no trace of it showing so that the bastards don't ram your doors... but yeah, damn, if I got my car stolen I really wouldn't know what to do.... damn it! Any similiar bad lucks, fellas? Thanks again..
