Hi guys, some details of it would be nice... time, screen days etc? And what is the program called?

Fellow Skyliners, I need your urgent help - particularly those that live in VIC - MELB. Last night, I parked my car oustide my front yard for once (not garaged) as our house had guests staying over. Anyways, at around 4am in the morning, some farkers came and smashed my two side windows in a bid to steal my TomTom GPS system and my Pioneer DVD deck. My trusty Viper Alarm sounded like a motherfarker and those smucks quickly dashed off with only the TomTom in hand - they even forgot the charger (which makes the TomTom now somewhat uselss). Long story - short, of course I am hurt and very upset; but the main thing now is to get my two side windows replaced as I need my car to get to work etc and cannot allow dust, sand etc to get into my car through those windows... does anyone know of a reliable, reasonably-priced automotive glass provider/fitter that can get my side windows fixed quick-smart? If so, some contact details and a ball-park figure would be nice... Many thanks to all... I really hate thieves... God damn them.... arrhhhh.... Regards,

Post Pics Of R33's With Guard Flares
EVILTD replied to r33madd's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Guard flares are hot... however, with the Skylines, I personally do not like them as they make the car look to "chunky" IMO. Besides, gotta cost heaps of money! -
Well... yeah, and except for a man eating his own b _ __ s ???? LOL

I thinik most of us her are mature enough to know that, like 'steveo_r33' has kindly pointed out, that street racing is stupid. Enjoying your ride and hard work with mods is one thing, appreciate the rush with speed is another but - racing illegally on the streets and possibly endangering others is something that should not ever be done. I used to be a hoon but have totally stopped... nearly killed myself a few months ago when I (in my supercharged Honda Accord) flew down the street against a FC Rx7 - yeah sure, I ate it by 2 car lengths... but all the shit after that is something that I will never attempt again. Laterz,

OK, here is my 2 cents... First of all, it would really depend on the drive as it's straight down the centre line 400 metres... secondly, the S14 Silvia will win not because it's more powerful, but because it's much lighter.... it will win by half a car length! not much, but enough to win... it's power to weight rations baby! But the Skyline looks better, drives better and is more powefull.... noone can dispute this! AM I RIGHT FELLAS?

I gone done for similiar things in the past too....at the end of the day, it's just not worth it... so much money into it, and in the end you have DE-MOD... but I guess, the law is the law... In your situation, I recommend that you take off the BOV and put on a plumback.... then change the Air filter back to stock... and finally (if you have a front mounted intercooler), get some mesh and cover it up! Good luck mate.

All groovy stuff... but as we all know... nothing beats driving safe, obeying the speed limits, right?
-
I think you're generalising... I mean, well yeah sure you have a point... but it's all about popularity... first in first serve... it's just all the popular ones are taking... try something unique.... and maybe you can incorporate R33 into it. Just my 2 cents.

Manual Vs Automatic Turbo Skylines?

Modified Auto Transmission so it can hold the boost more... I am running 15 pounds per inch.... -
Uuumm.... makes some sense.... any real facts?

Hi Guys, Was just wondering which would you think is faster? Let me firstly put this in context - it's 400 metres down a straight line - quater mile... Two Skyline with exactly the same mods, same car etc line up for a sprint down the track... would an AUTO or a MANUAL win? This is what I have heard... MANUAL'S down the stretch would win... but AUTO'S launch better and the hold boost better ... is this correct? I actually own an AUTO - I chose this as a preference.... I used to drive a manual twin turbo ZX300 ... but wanted the cruisieness of an auto for long trips and also I like how the AUTO'S hold boost and spool up the turbo quicker... any thoughts? Regards,

I actually have a lot of admiration for R33 GTS's as they are nick quick RWD cars...

Hi guys, Sorry if this is a silly question, but although I know what GT-R stands for - Gran Tourismo Racer...was wondering if someone can please tell me what GTS-T stands for? I've heard rumours it stands for something like, Gran Tourismo Standard Turbo?? Please explain... Many thanks.... Lastly, are GTS-T Turbo SKylines known for their speed/power? REgards,

MAte, bring it to NISMO in Sushine and ask for a friendly bloke by the name of FREDDIE - say KEVIN with the Black R33 referred you... he'll look after you - the only officially authorised Nismo dealer in Australia. I think it's your gear box - needs a check up etc... good luck... Jump on whitepages.com.au and do a search for Nismo for contact details.

Dear all Skyline friends, Seeing that March is coming to an end in a few weeks, and that the wealther is so nice - was hoping to organise a cruise from the Western Suburbs in Sushine (Bunnings Sunshine for big car park) to all the way to LORNE - we all have lunch there before cruising back etc. This is not official yet, just wanted to see if there are anyone interested and I will make this more official. Regards,

From my understanding, the headlights are made from glass-extracts with some degree of plastic in them... with plastics, heat and moisture creates the foggy-look... mine used to be like this too... but I found a good solution... you will need 3 things... 1) a nice soft scratch-free cleaning cloth x2 2) a bottle of PLASTIX (Macquire's, I think - around $19 at Autobarn) 3) A bucket of really hot water mixed with some washing detergent (with a brush) Now here's what you do... first of all, take the car for a good wash so that the headlight covers are wet enough to be cleaned.... then, using some brush dip it into the hot water with detergent and begin to wash the headlights with some degree of force... rub in a circular motion... After doing so, let it dry for around 15 minutes... then use the cleaning cloth with small doses of the PLASTIX plastic lotion and rub hard... I would spend around 10 minutes or more on each light.... just keep doing it until you see it light up like a candle... LOL.... repeat, repeat the above steps then once you finish, get a clean new cloth and clean off the PLASTIX lotion... then stand back and be amazed!!! That's it... you should do this once every 3-4 months...then your headlights will always look like they are brand new!! Good luck, EVILTD

Thanks for the info mte... appreciate it! Not bad... but to me... the R33 with a not hit and nice wheels + wing... king of the road nothing beats it... only the R34 comes close.
