Mongoose M80am Installation Cost
33_skyline replied to mark_sudakov's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
I paid about $900 dollars for the purchase and installation of the M80 alarm, immobiliser, soliniod for passanger door and wind window up extra (about $250) -
Just so some of you guys can see, this is how the mechanic set mine up. I do plan on putting to braided lines to the catch can just been lazy. We also found I needed a breather on the rocker as it was pushing oil out the exhaust. I also still have the PVC valve connected but again I haven't got a plug made for it, with it still connected it cause a little hunting on idle and a flutter noise in the exhaust note when just cruising on steady idle (ie 60km/hr)

Then get the GTR N1 water pump, bigger impellor wheel for more flow, and it will fit an RB25det.

I am looking for a GTR air intake snorkle. It will be going onto a R33 GTS-t and custom CAI box It is preferable if it is off a R33 so that it will be a closer fit to the radiator support. I have the GTS-t on but is goes to far back and doesn't clear the cooler custom cooler pipeing where it needs to join to the box. PM me with price. Thanks

The only direct fit injectors are Nismo Sard will need collars but these are not all that expensive blitz need collars aswell, I bought collars for blitz injectors for $35 dollars each. just make sure you ask for the SR20 collars Go to the SAU traders first but there is also these two places NENGUN, GREENLINE

You would be correct with the trigger disk into the crank angle sensor. I am running a SM4 in my car and it is brilliant does everything, and I have a guy who can tune it where I live. The SM4 also has a electonic boost controller (this is about an extra $200 - $300 dolllars), The auto tune feature is brilliant as you type in you air fuel ratio you want to achieve and go driving, the ecu will do the rest. (though you do need someone to tune it as there is a little more to it with the fuel value table and temp table). Draconis go to here and ring one of the dealers and have a chat.AUTRONIC I recommed Ray Hall for information cause he sells these world wide.

Aircon Turns On By It Self
33_skyline replied to 33_skyline's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I will let the guy doing all the mods to my car know and he will check that, he has done the majority of the electrical work. won't go to an auto electrician last time they disconnected wires and hooked them to the wrong place, we found out when tuning it and the ecu had heaps of errors & warnings. that is something to remember though mine is no longer stock and it is diffently aircon cause it freezes my feet, but yeah same problem. -
Due to some modifications to my car (R33 GTS-t), We have hooked my thermo fan to switch on when a certain temperature is reached. The Problem the A/C blows cold air onto my feet when the the AC is switched off. We have fitted a diode so that it doesn't send an electric signal to the aircon however it still blow air. We even disconnected the aircon and now it just blow normal air. This only happens when the thermo switches on once a certain temp is reached. Any ideas how to solve this problem?

When you get up to Cairns you will have to take me for a spin. It will be easy know we work at the same place

The difference between BNR and HCR is becasue the front and rear guards are wider on a BNR making the front and rear bars wider. As for the intercooler fitting behid the bar, that is something you do when you fit the bar. A grinder does the job it you need more room however aftermaket kits seem seem to fit with the intercooler without and cutting. You can make a BNR kit fit but it will need modify.

Dave was telling me about these last weekend, but you know who to go and see

Why Is My Car Still Overheating After All This!?
33_skyline replied to PAV34's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Will be taking it in tomorrow. The machanic doing all my mods has checked the oil and it is all fine, so if this doesn't work I will be getting a new radiator -
Why Is My Car Still Overheating After All This!?
33_skyline replied to PAV34's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I have the same problem at present, I have taken the theromstat out which didn't open at all, fixed that problem and temps still read 95 degrees. I have now got a GTR N1 water pump comming, and am taking the radiator out to get it flushed tomorrow. hopefully this solves the issue. -

Just a quick question, how did you remove the rear tail lights??
-
I seen them on ebay, it is made of fiberglass, looked cool but to low for me
-
www.efiharware.com they are very informative and know what Q45 throttle body is, I should have bought mine from him but went to somewhere else, not a good experience.

Thanks URAS, I just got told the same thing by Autobarn who chased the issue up for me. Do you know if they fit into a series 1 fuel rail without mods. (I have a series 2)

I recently bought a set of Blitz 550cc injectors and were told they were a direcet fit in for the RB25DET. however they do not fit, has anyone had this problem I rang Blitz Australia and I did have the right injectors, he recomended trying the blitz collars for the SR20 cause they are the same injector. Any help would be appreciated.

Had this problem just last week so took it to Fulcrum for a free suspension check They said it was mainly the power steering on full lock, but other noises are just the bushes etc getting tired and showing a little movement. and on the 33 (not sure about other models) instead of an upper ball joint it is a bearing and they also get a bit of movement after a while. The main thing is though they said it wasn't anthing major that needed imidiate repair. but don't take my word for it, if there is a fulcrum suspension near you go in for a free suspension check only takes about an hour, why not take advantage off this free service

How Much Power Do You Have With An Safc
33_skyline replied to r33madd's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Just for the guys asking about the Fuel Pump If you want around the 200rwkw then you need a new pump, the stock will reach its limit about 170 - 180rwkw. then you can wid the boost up a little more aswell cause fuel supply won't be an issue. -
it will fit, just take it out of the box, lay your passanger seat as far back as it will go and put it in, just put some cloth around the end near you dash to avoid scratches. do the same with the old exhaust it should fit two, but you might want to put it into a old sheet or something first

Turbos And Intercoolers From Ebay?
33_skyline replied to vladinator's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
for that power you will need - ECU - PowerFC, wolf, halteck, autronic (to remap fuel etc) - New fuel pump - about a 500hp internal will be good - Turbo, not an ebay turbo, a high flowed will be best as it will bolt straight back in so you won't need a new manifold or dump pipe and existing imtercooler piping can also be used - intercooler, hybrid are cheap and a decent brand - injectors (recoomended) with the injectors they should be able to to achieve that but you will need a new fuel pump and fuel pressure reg. but keep in mind the duty cycle of the injector will be above 85%, so an injector upgrade will be good to lower the duty cycle. 550cc nismos are a direct replacement
