  1. hey guys just a QQ, with the brakes on the early GTR's like the one I'm importing, being the same as GTST calipers has anyone had any braking problems at track days? and thought upgrading the front calipers to the later model bembo's would be worth it? I know that the rotors on the GTR are bigger then the GTST after looking through the DBA catalogue so that would help. if anyone has an early GTR wiht the nissan brakes could they post up on what they think of them cheers mark
  2. sorry guys, I'm bad with this stuff. yeah it was sold quite a while ago. took the pics down. cheers mark
  3. I'm australian and I like High Octane I think its just a different view of performance cars. I like the comical aspect of it. I actually think that ketzal, while being stupid in some parts is quite funny. overal I like the dvd's (4 was a bit crap) and I own all 5 the whole thing is they aren't really a serious hardcore look at performance cars, if you want that buy HPI or something similar. you can't say teh MR2 and GTS4 aren't hot though mark
  4. you think thats bad ben, I'll lend you the Datto sunny wagon I'm cruising at the moment till my R gets here in november. hahahah, I can't overtake a kid on his scooter at the moment! I have purchased sump baffles from UAS for $395, they are the TOMEI ones for the GTR. supposed to be $450 but the sale was on when I got them. as soon as the car arrives it is being shipped to the workshop and is getting a full service, the motor is coming out for the baffles, check the clutch to see if it needs a new one (can someone reccomend one for a daily driver? nice easy one) and the usual, all fliuds and filters, plugs, timing belt, water pump etc no point in taking risks I say, the service and compliance with all the fitting should be around 3600 I was told, but I think its worth the risk. I like track days and the occasional dawn run so this shuold be ok mark
  5. my 93 GTST M-spec was running9PSI standard I think
  6. DAMN. I'm sorry I had to work all day and missed the sale now... 88silhouette say no to a-cups! your gonna miss out on quite a bit there man, alot of chicks are like that
  7. I think the reward should be for everyone one in australia, who owns a modified car (serious ) shuold be able to walk up to these guys, and SNAP KICK THEM IN THE HEAD! hope you get it back soon
  8. the general wear and tear stuff is gonna happen to any car. but I can see how you would be annoyed. I worked hard on my GTST (white 32). the whole works, everything short of the turbo and ECU were changed. but I decided that this car wasn't for me and now I'm impatiently waiting for my GTR. but it looks nice, maybe fix it and keep it. they are hard to sell at the moment
  9. with the 89 GTR's then, should you change the bulbs to something brighter? on my old 32 GTS I changed to the phillips bulbs which were 4300K and was brighter, they were $90 Or could somone reccomend a really good bright bulb? cheers
  10. I don't know how keen to drive the car in public again the guy will be. I know thieves are stupid, but not that supid, although you could only hope. shame he didn't catch him really.
  11. I hope you get it back man. and post up the parts list and if I see any parts, maybe if they had distinguishing marks? I was in broadbeach in April, I think I saw the car during the week on the main street of surfers. sorry for the loss. I think it should be fair to catch the guys, and kill them. then if the cops have a problem just say you should have caught them first. but we can all dream...
  12. I can't see why you would sell this thing either! this is a nice car. I don't often praise R33's but this thing is hot good luck
  13. Hey guys I am sure this has been done before but thought I would ask my own questions Waiting on the car to go in and just wondered what other people have been quoted for to get the following done for the 32 GTR, or if they have had it done how much it was. #1 - Compliance/Engineering for the 89 GTR #2 - Full service (I want to get the timing belt, water pump(N1), oils, filters, diffs, gearboxes etc... just to make sure, safer then sorry later. #3 - Sump Baffles - I like track days. and want to do more of them. so I have been told to do the sump baffles. Also getting a catch can. how much is it to do these, I found baffles from Tomei on the UAS website. cheers mark
  14. I had to save hard for my car, took a personal loan and just finished it, 3 years instead of 5. I still work 2 jobs and have for 2 years now. if someone ever said I don't deserve it, I think I would knock them flat where they stood. Its good that you have worked hard for you beast. I recommend when your get it, head down to a track day, even if its standard. you can get a good feel for the car and will help you learn to control it. I did 3 trips to wakefield park in my car and it was a learning experience every time. testing how different mods helped or handcapped the car. I will be down there in nov/dec when the R is on the road and doing a session for sure. cheers mark
  15. I have just bought the gear knob for the R. its the Nardi Torino black leather one. it was $108 from HJC motorsports in penrith. It was cheaper then the Nismo one that I was gonna get and like this one better. had a nismo aluminium one before and it is too hard after a while, hurts you hand on long drives. thats me anywayz
  16. trust me, they know to pick on you whether you have your P's or not man Im almost 22 and have had a full license for a while. I just try to keep a low profile. but you might be one of the good younger guys with a nice car, I think the few have ruined it for the majority mark
  17. thanks guys. I have asked a parts place to try and track down some Mines ones. they would be good. where di you get yours? or were they with the car if I can't find it I'll just mount an electronic one somewhere in the cabin.
  18. don't like the sound of that. Rare and Expensive = pain in the behind I'm just going to buy a guage like apex or Blitz guage and mounit it on the steering column I think
  19. so I'll probably have to buy just a single guage and mount it. oh well. just trying to avoid making wholes and putting extra things on the interior. if someone wants to measure and find out for sure that would be great cheers
  20. can you send me a pic if its still available and is it universal? or for a specific model. [email protected]
  21. Hey guys, I was just wondering, with the R32 GTR, whay size is the standard Boost guage. Could I purchase an aftermarket one that is the same size and put it in place of the standard one? cheers mark
  22. I feel your pain about the bank account balance LW. mine go hammered today. I bought a turbo timer today, and ordered some coilovers, not here yet either. mines in November. getting a quote on full exhaust tommorow. and checking out the price on compliance plus full service tommorow at autosport engineering. getting some stuff for my bday hopefully.
  23. I bought the pommy one the other night and haven't watched it yet, but if it has GTR's in it,can't be that bad can it? as for the BMI prodigy one. I didn't think it was that bad overall. the Touge section was good, seeing solberg doing the rally thing was cool too I'm just waiting for High Octane Overboost next month now. that should be good. bring back dagstr! mark
  24. I made the purchase last week!!! I'm finally a GTR owner!@!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D its an 89 R32 GTR. Grey metallic and stock as a rock. the only thing it has is 17: wheels, look like bronze volk 5 spokes. but that will all change, hehehehehehehe
