  1. hey i just have a noob question for anyone out there that knows microtech. there are 3 lights on the side of the ecu, a green, orange and red. my green and orange stay lit and the red one comes on and off for different periods of time. can anyone tell me what these lights mean?
  2. ummm...no to the fcd, ive checked all the silicon and it seems to be intact, ive farked a silicon joint before but i could still make boost this mother f**ker will not get out of the negative range. how would u go about checking ignition?
  3. would i hear the boost controller leaking?
  4. all of the silicon joiners seem fine there was a vacuum leak but i fixed that but still having the same problem. the boost gauge doesnt move into the positive til about 4500rpm and only just makes it to about 3-4 before it gets to 6000rpm and f**ks out on me.......any ideas?
  5. one of the silicon hose fittings was farked and you could hear the car shreiking from a mile away but that is replaced and now there is no noises but yes i will double check the rest of them.
  6. im experiencing a shithouse feeling when im driving, the boost takes forever to come on and then its like its making a half assed attempt to do so because it makes nowhere near full boost. also when it gets to just before 6000rpm the car just pulls back on me and its all over. this has only started happening recently. shown in the photo below is a ding in the cooler piping that i think may be causing some of this but its been like that for quite some time so im led to believe its a deeper issue. only mods are FMIC, exhaust, microtech & boost raised to 12psi. any help would be greatly appreciated. cheers, mark update: checked the vacuum line that runs from the microtech to the plenum and found this (3rd time i checked it i missed it both times pic is a bit shite but u can clearly see the vacuum line is farked and from what id been told this was wat was causing the car to shit out so i changed the vacuum line over today and it is no better. absolutely everything seems to be fine im certain there has to be air leaking from somewhere. if the boost controller is leaking would i be able to hear the air coming out (it is only a cheapo BC) oh and also i noticed this.... to me it looks like the gasket for the throttle body has escaped out the side or something, i dont really get it, if it has could this be the problem?
  7. mine came with a piece of mesh but i had to do it myself. im sure u could organise them to do it for u if they dont come with it

  10. it doesnt take much to reach 200. i made 180 with an exhaust, FMIC, microtech & 12psi.
  11. haha well u just answered one of the questions i had for them. its something im not really keen to tackle myself. just means more money to fork out (f*kin thing). Also where would be the best places to look to source the replacement gaskets as ill probably go with the ACL ones you have recomended above. cheers, Mark

  14. hey guys ive just discovered that the head gasket is blown on my r33 and ill HOPEFULLY get the issue sorted this week. im just wondering what power the stock gasket is good to handle. my goal is 300rwkw and ive been offered a brand new stock gasket for a good price. but if the stocker is no good for 300 i might aswell just spend the extra money now and save myself the bs later. if the stocker is no good to handle this power could somebody possibly give me some specs of the gasket that i would need or even a good supplier. cheers, Mark

  16. what a shit day...discovered my head gasket is shot and is leaking combustion into the cooling system. the workshop that did the testing qouted me anywhere from 2200-2500 thats with the head being taken off and pressure and crack tested. this SEEMS like a bit of a rip to me but i dont really know, thats what im here for. just wondering if anybody can recommend a place to carry out this work for me and possible machining of the head if it is farked. or if anybody has or knows of anybody with a reco'd head for sale. open to any other suggestions aswell. cheers, mark
  17. theres almost always one tucked in behind the bushes just after the brewery at yatala heading north along the gold coast highway. also as you turn left of kessels rd heading towards sunnybank usually one hidden in behind a wall

  19. i wouldnt live anywhere else, brisbane is farkn awesome. plenty to do aswell, pub club scene is awesome despite what anyone else says, sau seems to hold a shitload of meets and stuff that i really gotta start going to but yeah brisbane is where its at
