  1. This sums it up nicely. I went last year, the beginning of 3 months backpacking across Europe on a rail pass. Stayed in a hostel in Nice for 25 Euro a night and it was around 7 Euro (return? can't remember) for the train into Monaco each day. The hostel I stayed in was one of the regular Bus-A-Bout stops so it was practically full of Aussies (so is most of Europe actually). Probably the cheapest F1 you can go to if you do general admin and are already in the 'area'. 40 Euro on Saturday for quali and 70 Euro on Sunday for race day. General admin is the hill on the western side of Monaco, on Sat I had an awesome view for quali but admittedly couldn't see shit on Sunday. Walked the track on Friday... so much history, such a stupid place for open wheel race cars Completely surreal to be in Monaco on race weekend. Living in London now but with the VISA up in June, I'm trying to decide to either do Monaco again, Barcelona or Valencia before heading back home.
  2. I lol'd, yeah just a few times. A bit low on tread there at the end there too. Ken hasn't excelled at WRC since he joined, still doing OK for a first year but he's doing a shit load better than Kimi
  3. Keen on this... PM sent
  4. After a quick scan of the last 4 pages there are 9 stolen Skyline threads!!! Also one attempted break in but the alarm stopped them and a handful of stolen gear threads. Fark!
  5. Hey All I currently still have the stock dodgy looking S1 R33 boot spoiler... I think the duck lip is a much cleaner look and I'm looking for a good quality duck lip. Anyone who has fitted one, did it match up to stock hole in the boot and did it cover the whole area of the original spoiler? ie was any additional paint work required? Cheers
  6. mmm I've got this somewhere It cost my parents a small fortune when I got it as a bday present nearly 20 years ago.
  7. Yeah pretty much, it's technically a daily but it hasn't seen that many kms lately, I live pretty close to the city so I don't drive to work and don't drive when I go out (as I don't mind a beverage). My last to oil changes were after 3500 and 4200 kms, although a bit of this time was spent O/S.
  8. I'm sorry to say I bought my red S1 R33 from Redline some 3.5 years for $17K ...but unlike the OP my car has cost me around 6 oil changes, a battery and a tune/service at Boostworx in that time as a daily. Doesn't make big power but it's never missed a beat Never once had an issue with police in that time either but since I read this forum (and god forbid NS) I am always paranoid that I will
  9. Spotted a white S1 R33 with P plates around half hour ago at 7:15pm going east on SpringBank road. He obviously spotted me 'cause the little f**ker yanked his steering wheel to swerve at me... oncoming f**king traffic!!! The guy had a few mates in his car too, dunno how he would think 'hey look another S1 R33 **swing car in that general direction** If you're reading this, you sir are a grade A f**k wit... exactly the type of person that draws BAD attention to the cars we drive. I hope you get car-jacked, die of Aids and have a happy new year. ** so angry **
  10. Apply for the proof of age card and postpone your night on the town. Get pissed at home this weekend. The night will only be a disappointment, especially if he still looks young
  11. My understanding is these things are essentially a Mazda as all Laser's were and have the Mazda Familia drivetrain. Anyone know any different?
  12. I think all of today's stages have finished and it looks like he is 22nd in the R35
  13. I got a crack in my rim fixed at extensive, welded and re-rolled, wheel came back as new. Very happy with the work and the quote was around $50 cheaper than across the road. Adelaide Wheel and Rim said they don't do the welding themselves, they send it off (probably just across the road)
  14. Is it just me or does it seem that these c*nts have just been let out of jail. I mean we haven't had a stolen/attempted break-in thread on here for around 4-5 months, when we used to get 1-2 a week for a while. Just the long weekend gone there are now 3 fresh ones, in different parts of town.
  15. I dare say the land speed record between gepps cross and paralowie may fall
  16. I think you should just buy a bucket of shit (so to speak) for your first car, say like an aussie built 31, or dare I say it a VL. It's your first car. We're in SA there a heap of cars that will give you relative trouble free motoring for under a couple of grand. Pay for nothing but the car, rego, third party insurance and oil (and likely brake pads). It'll get you from A to B. Buy a decent car when you get off your P's with comprehensive insurance.
  17. I must say my paranoia has gone down dramatically in recent times. Remember 4-6 months ago there were at least two threads a week relating to stolen skylines. Hope I'm not speaking too soon but at least that seems to have quietened down, maybe some of them scumbags got arrested. In reply to the first post, yes there are scum bags everywhere.
  18. I signed up for health insurance at the end of the last financial year because of this very reason... I was basically paying around the same amount in extra tax as the cover would cost. I'm with NIB hospital & extras... it's almost payed for itself already, went to the dentist for the first time in more than 5 years had some fillings done. They also randomly sent me a $100 gift voucher at athletes foot.
  19. Superintendent Charmers' Honda Accord, "oh how are people gonna know its a Honda" Talking about badges, I saw a white S1 R33 GTST with front and rear GTR badges yesterday... WTF, who you trying to fool???

    Tyres

I've got a set of these as well, 235/45 F and 255/40 R. Great value, good traction and way quieter than previous tyres. I don't like the off-center feel of the fronts though... well compared to my previous tyres anyway.
  21. Jesus at what speed, I grew up in the Clare Valley and I can tell you you're not gonna do it in 1:15 from the city, maybe if you start in the northern burbs somewhere and stop the clock when you reach the "Welcome to Clare Valley" sign 5km before Auburn. You'd be pushin' pretty hard to get to the Barossa in 30, most people would quote an hour, but it depends on which way you go and where in the Barossa you wanna be.
  22. The last decent GT production car race I remember was a 3 hour enduro on the bathurst Saturday... was a long time ago. Don't remember it well but I remember the viper had to retire because shagged brakes, it was fast but too heavy for bathurst. The lambo/porshe/ferrari front of the field cars were passing suzuki swifts down conrod at 100km/hr+ higher speeds. One of the driver quoted "its dangerous, its like they are going the other way". I was at the first Clipsal500 around the same era and tehy had a 2 hour night race on the Saturday night, the RX7's won due to modifed fuel tanks as the cars were built for the 24 race. GTP has been going down hill ever since, anyone remember the staggered starts of recent years, WTF.
  23. I believe Vodafone has a 12 month expiry, so you could get away with $20 a year
  24. Never put anything but BP Ultimate in my car... except once I put V-Power cause the country town had a Shell but no BP.
  25. Thats seriously fcked up, did they steal/move your brother's car too? Once again, did it have an immobiliser? Only ask cause I'm curious whether these cnts are stealing cars where the owner has done all the right things in regards to prevention, then still get fcked over.
