  1. yeha i will, what places should i call that are in W.A for leakdown test??? can a mechanic do it? the plug looked very white on the tip, then went grey towards the end 'ReF picture'. Ceramic center insulator was fine, no damage, melting or deposits.
  2. LAWL nah, i got 12 dyno runs mate.. n lowest was 260RWHP, and also this guy fastens the car down unlike my dynos b4 where they put blocks under front wheels =/ coz stock i was getting 208 rwhp different dyno '3 runs only' :laughing-smiley-014:

  4. yeah morlock, i dunno what it is... took plugs out and all where good dry and grey!!! the only 1 that worries me is the number #6 cyclinder had a very white tip, but looked in very good condition !!! isnt that a sign of lean mixture? overheating in that chamber? i dont knw if its the turbo now... >< argh well if u wanna read on about my drama its below all opinions considered http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=185198 GaZZa
  5. check ur injectors that make a loud/ish tapping noise! when i first brought my car they where quiet, after using 98ron and injector clean every service noticed they got noisy!! mechanic told me if there taping away, there working hope thats all it is for u buddy!!! P.S like tha guy said up there 8k is nuffing for a RB 26

  7. yeah man!! thats kinda Really low, maybe u should get a compression test or check for leaks on pipes??!! maybe its the fuel your using??? erm i got 268RWHP = 200rwkw with just stock engine, stock turbo GFB manual controller @ 10psi Hkd Pod 3 n 1/2 stainless cat back =)

  9. ********************* 10:30pm ****************** UPDATE BELOW !!! erm after returning home from tafe i let the car sit for 20mins and checked dip stick... was fine omg RAWR!!! so i spent all afternoon taking out the plugs and checking them!!! well plug 1 was fairly loose kinda had signs that it wasnt sealing rite but other then that PLUGS 1-5 where grey, no wear or nuffing. then i pull PLUG 6 out and the END IS WHITE/ really really light grey 'more white' any answers for that??? and i also had a look at the top of pistons, through the holes... 1-5 'matt grey' and number 6 looked to be damp/liquidy on it :S ended up wiping sum of it... culdnt really tell if it was fuel/oil or water :S maybe the white plug hints something??? thanks Gary P.S not much smoke happening now... please help me... loosing hair / sleep haha
  10. yeha man i checked my oil used about half of a dip stick... valve guide seals??? or?? i mean smokes when u let it idle then pull away or few light REVS pretty worried... i lift of the oil cap, it doesnt spit out... if anyfing it draws air in... so i am sure it aint the rings!! compression test is happening the w/e still!! i mean from the exhaust i can smell something else burning... not just fuel/heat... probably oil.. GaZZa will check more when i get home from TAFE

TRU TRU but i dont wanna run not much more power, say even if i get to 300RWHP i'd be happy with that!! i dunno wat the problem is, but didnt smoke dismorning or going to work at all... could be pcv needs a clean + pipes!! still a new turbo / re/build wuld be good 2 just need a good place 2 get it
  12. nah its a 15min ride... lol pretty sure it wuldnt use 5litres in that time and only 10km ride to workies + oil pressure was good =( gonna clean the PCV tonite and fit new breather pipes
  13. yeah that'd be good!!! Omg considering builds seem to be quiet a lot of $$$ =( DAM where did u get ur hybird one from mate?? Did it make okay power tooo?? Sooo like if I did get mine re/built what kind of power wuld a upgrade stock turbo put out? thanks Gaz

Gd morning well dismorning, i got ready for work... and roughly 10mins before i leave i start my car to warm up so when i jump in i can just go i do this every day!!! so did the same today!! i didnt see no smoke all the way to work, :S i mean i kept it off boost and didnt touch a thing since yestday car temps where normal and so was oil pressure. i recalls doing my service 'oil change n filter' just after boosting it!! and recall the oil being slighty over the mark =S and my rocker over flow pipes are stuffed i rekon... coz i noticed the pipe that goes up n into the inlet had a small amount of oil where the rubber 'which is more hard like plastic' LOL joins the metal pipe. so could be blocked and just unblocked itself n burnt it :S i aint sure... just wierd how my SKYLINE is okay Gaz

Hi every1 just wondering wats a gd upgrade for a R33 S1 skyline turbo.... i think my seals gone... smokes whitey/blue smoke on hot idle wif lil revs 'just started', since boosted need to knw what wuld bolt straight up wif stock water/oil cooling pipes and that!!! or where can i get mine re-built..... and how much thanks gaz
  17. noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!! RAWR i hope its just something cheap/ easy to fix omg BS >< if it was pistons wuldnt u be burning oil.. n wuldnt it be worse @ cold start :S and i dont get no smoke while cruising... n stuff all or if any when pulling away **looks in mirrors** also took off oil cap, no signs of back pressuse or spitting, just a slit change in idle... =( thanks guys.... i'll keep my options open, until i go to a few yards n mates @ tuning shops / nissan n see wat they say 2 thanks BTW compression test will be done this w/e coming
  18. hey all been working / finding out stuff all day about my car!! only smokes when hot, and only after its sitting ther n u give it a rev u get a lil puff... it doesnt smoke when or acceleration or de/ acceleration and doesnt smoke when cold! performance is same, oil pressure remains to its normal pressures i see and engines temps are well under half way !!! me thinks it REAR turbine oil seal =( LF new turbo / or place in Perth to rebuild it....   19. NO NO!!! aint lost no performance, no heat gains, no real oil usage or any WIERD noises i thinks its the rear turbo seals =( any1 else got any ideas?? BTW cars nearrly done 160 ### km GaZ
  20. okay working on that bit now!! um... what / where can i find my PCV ... heard other ppl mention that with this issue... maybe mine needed a replacement.. awhile bk i had idle problems n kinda fixed it self with lil adjustments to the idle screw!!! also only other problem i had was WRX sound randomly... but only in winter /dampness ... once a week at most... maybe they where signs =( hasnt done that for 2months but omg
  21. yeah i took one pipe of b4 it goes into the intercooler... looked coated in oilly stuff so gave it a clean.. going to install n start up again! if its the rear , just remove the frontpipe n look?

Hey every1, omg i cant believe it, i am blowing smoke... smells oilly!!! more on tick over or crawling... and on standstill when u give it a REV... its never done it b4 got my car boosted 'with manual controller' and dyno'd @ streetforce... i said i only wanted 10PSI but the bugger tired for more when i got cash out!!! n said that didnt make much more power @ 14psi i mean then he turned it down to 10ish!! DAM!! what is gone? how can i look for wat it is? would i be valves guides? turbo? piston rings? i am so angry now at him for that!! HELP ME PLZ GARY
