  1. lol +10 points for ingenious role reversal
  2. lol Ringwood? Sounds like Seriously though are any SAU people driving down THEN getting a coach from winery to winery? I don't like the idea of being on a coach all the way from Sydney - I get headaches and prefer to be 'fresh for festivities'
  3. So is SAU getting a bus or is it a cruise down then get a coach or...?
  4. Ultimately it's demand. If I ever get a r32 however unless it's a stupidly good deal I'd be getting one minus engine+gearbox - just my opinion
  5. Add glitter.. No really. is there such a thing as black glitter? might look cool on silver
  6. The other technique that too_much_boost told me about was using a piece of garden hose. Use it like doctors use that heart listening thingy, stick one side near your ear and point the other end around where the exhaust gasket would be. The other place I'd be checking is after the dumppipe or if you have any rust spots in the exhaust those too. Waz - induction noise (whistling and whooshing) is common RB styles. Exhaust manifold would be closer to barking and not boosting as much, and you can sometimes smell exhaust fumes.
  7. None taken that's fair enough - I searched up what seats in similar condition with a genuine Bride rail were going for and copied the price. If you want it then offer what you think is fair
  8. Your opinion is off-base. Not because it's politically incorrect (that's not enough reason to be off-base) but really that's not quite right. Firstly, we're all immigrants in one form or another because we live in Australia. So it would make sense all immigrants would be represented highly, but it wouldn't mean they were over-represented. If you consider it that immigrants are all those who aren't whities (the original invader) then it still doesn't hold because it's the indigenous population is actually the one over-represented.
  9. So what's the condition like Tuna?
  10. Damnit Nic the kakimoto is my favourite exhaust ever. 'sif sell it. Ship it to me
  11. Cannon or no is a moot point - it's personal preference so pick whichever you like.. it's just what you need to do to reduce the drone after you do. I got my cefiro (sr20) with a bodgy exhaust. manifold > cat > cannon. It was loud as shit and didn't sound very good (imo). I had a resonator fitted. This took out much of the drone but none of the body. If you want a cannon and don't want drone you need a resonator or two. The other alternative is if you want a cannon is to get a biggest middle exhaust you can. Some of the nicest exhausts I've heard have been of this composition. After the resonator went in I was still not happy with the cannon, so I welded on a Trust exhaust with a big tip. The sound went from a bark to a tough low gurgle. Just what I wanted. So... if you get a real muffler you'll probably only want one resonator in there (just to deflect the drone/bark). Good luck.
  12. I'm not sure I agree. As it cools it expands, not 'reduces in volume'. Same as when you leave your beer in the freezer and it pops.
  13. Kakimoto is quiet. There was one on the FS within the last couple of weeks. I'd buy that if I still had a car - my favourite muffler for a road car. Fujitsubo is also known for being quiet. You might wanna put your setup now - there might be a cheaper way.. i.e. if you have a hot dog and cannon then the easiest way to make it quiet would be putting in a mid muffler, it would be cheaper and might sound good. Good luck.
  14. Never had a problem at Fujiya.. things came on time.
  15. Hmm thanks for the info. I want that tape then!
  16. They're cheap! It's the same price as a noname brand second hand .... suprised noone has snapped this up.
  17. Cool - how much and what model if you don't mind my asking? PM if you want.
  18. I believe if you hit up the nissansilvia.com forums then the distributor is on there as bt-revolution. My tip to you is always bargain too I'm a sucker for girls so here's a link - http://www.bt-revolution.com/Shift%20Light.htm Oh and look out for the idiots and "experts" on that board, they have a higher ratio than SAU.. much higher.
  19. If you don't have an insurer the other guys will go to town. I once touched a commodore VN and snapped part of the skirt. A $300 replacement job at worst. I had no insurance. The other person claimed it on theirs. Their repairer sees an insurance job and goes to town. They send it to the insurer and the insurer tries to recover $6k from me. I ask for the bill and it's got things on it like "replace badge" on the front of the car and stuff like that. Needless to say I didn't pay it. I got calls from debt collectors for a few years, I told them the story and they said fine pay it off for the $300 bucks. I said - that's fine and fair.. then legitimately forgot to pay it and they haven't called back since. I've since been pulling out loans/contracts/rental agreements with no problems so no ill effect on me yet. Anyway - the point is not to not pay them, but the point is to fight all the way back to the repairer who I will safely assume just see insurance job and put down whatever. Make sure you're not stiffed! Don't just take it on the chin. Fight and be pro-active but be prepared to pay something!!
  20. Worth = no idea. Cost = yes re trimming is stupidly expensive.. Like painting.
  21. R32s have H1 or H3Cs ... heh I don't even know how you'd check I've seen skylines of the same year with different ones. You should just check yourself.
  22. Turbo Timers just trick the car into thinking the key is left in the ignition. They just count down then disconnect the circuit (take the key out). So yes they're all the same. $80 for a apexi pen timer is about usual.. I got a $30 second hand HKS one cos I like old school stuff. You shouldn't pay more than $100 for a new one in my opinion. It is possible to get just the light. If you're looking at something you can buy off-the-shelf then you can get a kit thingy made by a company called Pivot which is pretty cool. They do sell JUST the light so don't get confused with the shift kit, you only want the shift light. As someone said before if your bf cools the car down properly he won't need a turbo timer - usually they're only useful at the racetrack. Similarly he shouldn't need a shift light on the street... but then again the advice above is if you/he insists... gotta get some BLING BLING somewhere.
