  1. Thank you - I stand corrected So if I have a rear 8" rim with +9 offset... what offset will I need on my 7" rim on the front so the middle of the front wheel is the same as the middle of the rear wheel? I assume my highly technical diagram below will show what I'm getting it. This is all driven by the assumption that the picture on the left is ideal, that the middle of both wheels should be the same front to back. Maybe I could be wrong....
  2. bump.. anyone? I don't want to add a 25mm spacer to a +34 rear wheel to make it +60 offset when it means the rear track will be greater than the front track (seems to me a bad idea). Any help!?!?!
  3. Looks like the guy is walking past ...?
  4. Haha you run MSN of course you're up to getting exploited. Patch yourself, change your passwords and use a firewall is about as good-er advice as I can give without being overly specific/prescriptive Oh and be weary of using netbank on the same PC unless you're sure you don't have spyware.. you may be running a zombie network client.
  5. Thanks for the response Duncan. Who is Kyle? I got a quote from Nathan at Grey Imports. He fears litigation/WorkCover issues with me around (fair enough too). The quote is very fair price and I trust his work but it throws the budget out a lot :\ It's not that I'm unwilling I'm just unable .... So.. yeah who's Kyle and how do I get in touch with him without being rude?
  6. ROFL. It's funny cos it aint my street. Love how the mirrors that folded back in survived. God bless them, but I would have thought in the eastern suburbs it's normal to have pissed yobbos? (never lived there so not sure)
  7. I've had opposite experiences at A&B.. so there we go.
  8. Yeah I'm hoping the carbon blocks up the little errr, 'features'.
  9. Finally got a manifold that didn't cost $800+ Won it from ebay with 1second left - thought I was smart but the one after sold for $65 less! Either way, not bad for an ebay jobbie...
  10. lol I like my zip ties but I wouldn't do this dodgy stuff. If insist on the resistor just find out what value you need and go to dick smith and buy the same one for .5c.
  11. The other thing to consider is that Police in this case are more of an afterthought. Cams/local councils etc probably influence their Policing practices, so in this case I would suggest going to "higher up". Then once you have the ground rules involving them as a courtesy and to provide input.
  12. Go to a tyre place and they'll get em off easy. If you wanna do it yourself buy some el-cheapo softest metal you can find socket that'll go over it and smash it on with a hammer. Use that for the rest of the wheels. Playing with really big screwdrivers can do it as well.
  13. Holy crap that buys you a hell of a lot of SR20 powered s13/a31 or rb25 powered R3x .. You'd really have to love this thing.. even the DR30 thing andylaurel was selling went for $8800 and that looked hotter than a gsxr. But if YOU think it's worth it and want it that badly buy it, but I don't think there's a market that will necessarily agree with you (not because they disagree but because they're non-existant)... So your resale will be pretty limited.
  14. Spotted NUT-532 this morning on Macquarie St
  15. It shouldn't be too hard but you'll need to be good with an angle grinder for the hole, depending on the kit piping route. It's basically plug n play. The only advice I can give you is to make the holes slightly wider than the pipe so you have some play incase you need it to line the FMIC up directly in the centre. Otherwise try to copy someone elses placement of the holes as I've had kits that don't QUITE line up properly (a couple of mm's on each join means your FMIC isn't mounted centred EXACTLY). If you get stuck click some photos and post them here I'm sure we can help somehow
  16. ahh - heheheI only crossed the street when you were waiting at the lights and were waiting there till I had crossed another street. So yeah if someone jumped out in front of you that day it wasn't me. Ahhh whatever.. Nice car
  17. LOL Both replies true but not much of an explanation It's called compression lock because it's the opposite of a burnout. Lookup howstuffworks.com and look for drivetrain/differential or gearbox and click around. Rev matching is using the accel to match the engine speed to the geared road speed. Again if you read through howstuffworks on it should be easy to pickup. To stop it either be easier on the clutch, shift down into lower revs, learn to rev match (search). Good luck.
  18. It's everyone's choice to answer or not. I'm just trying to give the poster what he wanted. Sound and non heat soak. Fair enough I think.
  19. Surely you'd have seen my cefiro so I'm comparing to that - the liner sure looked shiny! (But I stand corrected )
  20. Not to sound like a prick, but if you want the sound and want it to look stock just use the stock box, aftermarket flat panel filter and drill a tiny hole underneath in the air box. That'll make the whoosing noise and it'll still flow as good as the pod. Even better still it won't get warm air like an exposed pod will. Best of all worlds!
  21. C'mon satanic you can't post on the forums then not deliver. We're all waiting on photos with it on and sprayed
  22. I fully support Nankangs for drift. Even on the fronts they melt a bit but predictable slidey slide for beginner level. Probably a bit too crap as it gets warm for intermediate-advanced though...
