  1. Fantastic work - thanks for the post up
  2. So I called the cop shop about the tape. The officer on the other end of the phone said he had a look and because the "computer takes a bit to boot up" they only have me being pulled over. He said "there's nothing here of you doing the offense if that's what you're after". I'd love to be able to take his word for it, but I said I'd like to have a look at what is there, maybe I can catch it from start to finish, but really, I wouldn't know where the start is, I mean, in theory they could just cut that bit out and spring it on me at court?? Anyway, he went on "Look what you have to know is the tape is not the only thing the magistrate will rely on, it'll be the officers estimation and his ability to give that estimation." Now.. I can imagine the kind of bullshit they can spout like blah blah is a well respected officer of x years and has done x convictions and he rescues baby possum scout troop disabled soccer playing minority groups something… so are there questions I can ask that might discredit his ability to give such estimations? He DID have another guy in the car but I have a passenger. Is it worth bringing the passenger as a witness? He said "The way the procedure works is the officer first observes the red light, after they do that they then look at the line and your front wheel crossing the line. I would say the officer would have done this." - I'm thinking to myself, YES I think they will say so in court, it's great having procedures that you can later say you followed. I just don't think they had enough time but I can't prove where their eyes were... If the tape wasn't recording at the time then .. I mean, really it's the officers word against mine. I can see myself losing but far out it's not really proven beyond a reasonable doubt is it?!?!?!? Anyone have any thoughts to help me? Oh, and I noticed that there is a bit on the court form that states if you lose you can be held liable for witness costs… Will I have to pay 2 officers wages for the time they're in court?!?!!?!?
  3. Cool 30. What front bar is that? Hehe I couldn't get it up/down the driveway where I was working on it. I only raised it bout 30-40m. I think having 100mm from the ground on a street car is good for me. I don't want to get stuck on a speed hump I'll post up a couple of pics and see how it goes.
  4. Where did you get the flakes? How much and what type? How do you cut back the clear? (cutting compound? that's not like sanding it back is it?)
  5. Hey thanks man - it suprises me too that I catch it on a front angle and I think 'ahh it doesn't look too bad for a fridge'. Cool as. If I'm welding it though I won't need tape? I mean, it'll be sealed Also if I'm welding it up I CBA threading the holes (they're don't have threads, so.. yeah) r30 4 door?? pics please While I agree it looks cool that low believe me it was too impractical, I also don't want a slow car that can't take corners cos it's on it's bump stops. So to do that I took the cusco's out and put in HSDs. Obviously I would have preferred the cuscos but what can you do... So now the back is dropped and the front is a little higher. Looks ok just not quite even enough (I get the feeling the back is a little too high still, and I've wound the base adjustment to it's lowest setting, I might have a go at compressing the spring a little to maybe get 15mm out of it). I'll post a pic soon Got a lotta work to do this weekend (I can only work on the car on weekends)... Next weekend gonna try to wake up early and (in this order): - take out r31 rack - cut power steering lines - take r32 rack to any mechanic who'll bung/weld those holes up - take segments of lines to enzed to exchange my incorrectly purcashed crimp thingies for the correctly sized ones - pickup r32 rack - install r32 rack - get to the wheel alignment place all before midday Hopefully that'll mean it will be ready for rego... well mostly, gotta put the rear seat back in and putty some tiny muffler holes
  6. That's the front rack - where the banjos are on the right are where the normal power steering lines would go in. Do they NEED to be bunged? I've heard that it may make the steering heavy without them bunged.... I don't see the theory though unless it's leaking something.
  7. I've seen these and I haven't seen better that hasn't been HID. GL with sale.
  8. Installing a r32 HICAS rack into my r31. Don't need HICAS.. so .. do I block these or bung them? Thank you :sorcerer:
  9. No Nic no no2 yet Well, I had custom lines made up so I could fit the r32 rack into it.. f**king f**kers cost me $211 Here's what they look like: Basically all I have to do is cut the power steering lines in the right spot and put the crimp attachments on then it's good to go so I must admit it's easier than welding etc. Pity I gave em the wrong measurements for the lines so I gotta exchange the crimp attachment thingies for the right size next week (assuming I get a r32 steering shaft in time). On another note does anyone know about the HICAS steering racks? I wanna know if I have to block these 2 holes up or if I can just leave them as is?
  10. I don't care who you are that's really f**king over the top. I don't really like street racing but god damnit this country is f**king stupid sometimes. Well done - you've hit on a point most daily telegraph reading plebeians wouldn't. The fear mentality and the general malaise that surrounds us in terms of being productive economic units and nothing more is ridiculous. Most people can't see past their noses - the media set so much of what is topical it's ridiculous. Just like when that bullshit flag big day out thing happened - I saw so many people with flags over the next few weeks. It's like people can't think for themselves, they just get the topic and choose a side. It's just semantics. We all get what you both mean.
  11. It's the one on the bottom found here - http://forum.r31skylineclub.com/index.php?...63379#msg563379
  12. Always been a pleasure to deal with so I'll hit ya a PM for a quote Holy shit with your avatar you're gettin a phone call!!
  13. f**k that's hectic. Killara too. Tell ya what man maybe they been waitin for ya or something? Do you have any more background about it? If you know their names you know them from somewhere right? I used to live in St Ives before I moved outta my folks place - Killara/Lindfield/St Ives/Turramurra are good whitey/Jewish neighbourhoods. I wouldn't expect this sorta stuff happening just like that. Hope you get better soon. Sick. haha that's cool. Remember everyone- carrying a weapon with intent to use it in self defence or not isn't a good thing if it comes to court. It's different than if there is something in your car you use for something else legitimately that just happens to be used reasonably to defend yourself.
  14. Get someone else to wobble it while you have a look?
  15. I think you should post up the name. It's not defamation if it's true... i suppose you -could- be making it up but you're not saying they're SHIT you're stating fact.
  16. Thanks Craved. I might have to do this in a fortnight, gonna try to get a rack in this weekend and maybe if I'm lucky wheel aligned.
  17. Great tips there. I'm going to attempt to do my car too. Can you do flakes at home with a gravity gun and acrylic?
  18. DBS = hawwt.. Would love one. None of the aforementioned cars look as good.
  19. Check ecu to see if it's in safe mode.... altho maybe not cos you can actually drive it. Worth a look at the led tho
  20. Thanks for the comments guys. The exhaust will be mild steel. I don't really care for stainless - it's a r31 so if it gets the job done well the cheaper the better. Ok, so the section bends are out. What's a butt join? r31's have crap exhaust path, have to go over the diff. I couldn't go under my car would be illegal and I'd wear it through scratching it. I don't like th idea of it flowing up and over (it's a fair looking restriction) but what can you do other than get a s13/a31/r32.... Nic, no idea. It's Jacek's. I'll just try to use it, it seemed to work last time <shrug>
  21. Get a resonator then But if your cannon is new then you have to accept the fact it's going to be loudish, even with a res, which should just take some drone out. If you want the cannon to be a lower in volume fit a bigger mid muffler, or ditch the cannon entirely like I did
  22. I had a resonator fitted as I also just had nothing but a cat and cannon. $60 installed and it was great. I don't believe it caused the car much restriction. Agree with Cubes. Don't get the ones that step down or up - make sure you can look through it and the pipe has nothing in the way as Cubes said. Also, if your cannon is old it might just be full of crap and not doing any muffling. If it's f**ked get a new one and see if that helps. If it doesn't help enough get a mid muffler down from the cat. Edit: Cubes- how's that look no the car?
  23. preferably good condition with the rubber thing... if it's alloy - even better. prefer Sydney around North Shore/Northern Beaches/CBD
  24. Is this the crap that you put along the fuel line to give you magical boost?
