Official NSW Skyline spotted thread

SPOOLD on Warringah Rd. I was goin to the beach.. SUCKERS!! -
You can use H3 or H3C, the only difference is the ground wire. I've got a pick somewhere where I added a ground wire - it's pretty easy. In my experience the hotspots and glaring is terrible with xenon kits. I'd only use them on projectors. a31, r32 and s13 projectors seem to work fine with no leaks, minimal no glare, excellent cutoff and minimal hotspots...

I can't confirm - so a bit useless really, but I would imagine it's exactly the same plug. If it isn't it'd be a relatively easy re-wire. If I had to bet my money would be on the same plug (knowing Nissan of the era). N1 lights look aggressive as all hell. My dream r32 wouldn't be complete without them, they have a squarer looking section, kind of like the difference between Aus spec r31 lights and JDM r31 projector lights.

Is This A Vg30det Turbo?
someonestolecc replied to someonestolecc's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thanks for identification and other informations everyone. Joel - thanks for that I appreciate it. Actually I thought it'd be BETTER suited to the rb30e+t because I wasn't intending to run much boost. I must admit while I'm not going to be running huge boost I like it to come on early (response owns) and see if it'll take out some of the lethargy of the rb30... I also do enjoy the "OMGTURBZ" feeling - without being too hectic by coming onto boost with no warning at 4k (that would suck) So you say go the rb25 one? Will I get more lower/mid from that? Street and drift will be the application. Will I need this elbow I keep hearing about? -
*sigh* Need Some Help/advice Guys..
someonestolecc replied to Rah's topic in General Automotive Discussion
An airbag installed by some local mechanic who has N F I ? Sounds stupid to me. If your parents are super over protective like they seem they are why not just buy a toyota echo or something? No joke - you won't have such a thing as real sports car with an auto anyways.. it will use less fuel, have better resale, allow you to learn to drive and get a proper sports car later, be easier to park, not cost as much in insurance, being new have less chance of breaking, save you money by not have any cool upgrades, wont attract unwanted attention...... and realistically if your parents have this idea that you're too incompetent to drive a manual and require an auto and an airbag, maybe you should get a slower car? -

Is This A Vg30det Turbo?
someonestolecc replied to someonestolecc's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thanks Slide. I understand the VG30et or VG30det is the turbo I want. And even then some of them need rotation to fit a rb30 with standardish turbo manifold. I'd like to ask lastly to confirm it's not one of those from the VG30DETT ? Cheers -
From http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=151715 Not questioning the seller in any way I just want to confirm if this is the early or late type? If it's ball bearing I'm led to believe it's early leopard or cima.. what car is it out of? I don't know how to tell from the picture - is it water cooled? Could anyone that knows please have a look and let me know?

haha I love that shit. I'm the dude getting off at Narita in t shirt and shorts and it's snowing. -
I don't think on a rb25 they do too much without -a lot- of other mods. I'm only guessing but I thought they only max at 250kw/300kw... What are your other mods?

.. seriously though - that's cool but they should have welded the door back on. -
lol it's so fast and the furious. Nice car though - high speed racer. I'm suprised he didn't run it again on the 1/4. .. and why you'd assume it's a street car if you nearly wiped it out at the 1/4 .. O_o

Stuck In 3rd Gear
someonestolecc replied to woolls's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
That's f**ked. I had my car stuck in 3rd for a while.. .it got gradually worse. Turned out to have sheared the round solid part that goes over the main axle(?) of the (SR) gearbox... When it was stuck a few times I managed to unstick it a few times by playing with it.. i.e. not bashing but springing the pedal.. it's only going to work if it's lightly stuck. If it's well and truly gone nothing will shift it, I thought I'd bend/snap the shifter after 2 months of being desperate. GL with it. -
Intercooler Behind The Radiator?
someonestolecc replied to 4DoorWhore's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I'd like to see this new setup 4d-whore. Sounds cool. If you WERE going to keep the aircon with a V mount, I would say it'd be best to put it right in front of the V mount. i.e.- _ V r e s t of c a r The air condenser isn't very hot after all, and due to it's size wouldn't block enough air to matter much at anything over 20-30kmh - maybe under it would make some difference however. I think so long as air is being forced into each cooler properly with baffles/air dams it'll be ok. Without that I don't think it'd be anywhere near optimal efficiency. If you're not going v mount and you want that little extra you should try a small lip (like garden turf size) below the engine as well. -

Where'd you plug the power from? Test it's not the power supply by running a wire (with appropriate fuse) straight to the power. It might be needing more current for dvd mode than you're giving it. Also make sure your ground is the same gauge as the power you're giving the unit. ... Suppressors are a band aid fix from how I see it.
