  1. That looks awesome. I clicked onto this after - LOL made me cack
  2. Sick - anyone have any more info?
  3. Mine were fine in the rain. Only on HECTIC downpour it was crap. Luckily for us cefs have those fog lights which combined with the HID are pretty damn perfect in the rain/fog.
  4. Hehe 'satisfactory unit', 'follow up that lead' - are you in sales !?! lol Did you ever get the reason why the unit failed or was it just assumed it died from old age?
  5. I had a xtreme cerametalic whatever with 860kg pressure plat with stock SR flywheel - no problem. Had it well machined though. I'm just wondering if it's possible that the gearbox has shat itself? Put in new clutch, grippy grippy, dump a few and kill an already dying gearbox? With a 1500kg pressure plate wouldn't there be a lot of flex in the firewall? Maybe the slave etc isn't lining up nicely??
  6. ROFL. ... blah blah read first paragraph then thought WTF it's 9:30 i dont want a life story. It's great to get enthusiasts here from all makes and models but if you're going to post saying how super funtastic a car is wouldn't it be better to post on a forum of that car?!
  7. Whenever messing with my exhaust, especially doing the manifold was a pain the ass for me so my tip is to have a COMPETENT mate on hand so when you get the shits they can take over for a couple of minutes.
  8. One of each please.
  9. I'll agree with Philips - but not the bluest ones. These are simply tinted so their light output is below the normal ones. I always had the 2nd from the yellowest - that is the lightest filter and they lasted for months and months.
  10. Is the gts-4 NA? If so, I wouldn't bother with a stainless - just get the cheapest mild mandrel stuff you can get. I doubt a rb26 dump pipe is the same as a na one.
  11. I'm not sure if this is goign to help - I'm just guessing but I know the PFC has a selection as to what AFM you're using. Black smoke and hunting sounds like it could be richness, which could also be AFM related. Make sure you're using the correct voltage setting on the PFC for the AFM you have.. i.e. if it's not z32 and it's set to z32 maybe it's just sending the wrong voltage for what the PFC is expecting... ?
  12. f**k there's a lot of irrelevant/wrong info in this thread. You have 2 things that might happen from here depending if you've lost all your points or if you had more than 6 points on your license. If you're on your p's you're in first boat. 6 months and 6 points suspension is just that. You lose your license for 6 months and are ineligible to drive a car/bike/boat. After 6 months you get your license back and you can drive again but you're minus 6 points. The 6 points come back in 3 years from the LAST OFFENCE (so if you make it to 2.5years and get a speeding fine - guess what the 3 years starts from then). The actual suspension starts when you pay (that's admitting guilt). As far as I know the copper shouldn't have taken your license from you although these days who knows. It used to be that you'd have outstanding matters till you took on the guilt or went to court. If you have actually lost, lost your license (i.e. you have lost all your points because you had 6 or less left) then you're up for 6 month suspension from the offence, and also either 12 months on 1 point or 3 months with no license. If you pick the 3 month suspension then you get full points back after (thats 12 if you're on a full license). Anyway, hope that helps. dead32 - not going to your court appearance twice is just stupid. They would have ruled in absentia so you probably just got the default. If I was the magistrate and you stood me up twice I'd fine you for being an asshole too.
  13. Ok so that's picture 1... where is picture number 300 when he's bent over getting ganged?
  14. Just get it engineered. Also shop around because some people will freak at some things others just engineer it. Otherwise - hot car
  15. Are you trying to take it off so you don't damage anything so you can sell the parts or are you just removing it cleanly? If you're removing it cleanly then out comes the wrench, bolt cutters, gloves (if you're scared) and a whole lotta bending/pulling. If you have a frount mount that'll probably have to come out to take out the condensor etc. Don't forget to bung where the pipes go into the firewall... I just used tape (worked good).
  16. Good call. I think it's another case of go back to sleep australia your government is in control (and other special interest groups etc).
  17. It looks like very other car out there in the range. Bit disappoint but I'm sure with a kit and some go fast stuff it might be ok.
  18. Now there's the life... Some of us have dreams...
  19. bumpppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp
  20. If you push it you have a higher chance. I think what you're really asking is if you can go to the track and have fun without a chance of axing your car. The answer is yes. First time I went to the track I was starting drifting entries at about 100-130kmh... I spun out a few times, aborted lines and came screetching to a halt after launching over a ripple strip and totally lost control and came off a couple of times just holding on and waiting for an impact (sliding over wet grass).. Out of those, the worst I got was a tiny touch of from a tyre wall - and the only reason I got there was because I left the track aimed in that direction at about 120kmh over damp grass and no sand. Even having slid all the way over the grassed area towards the wall - all it did was leave a little green mark on my front bar (which was pig-spec anyway) - I had lost so much speed it felt like a blind geriatric walking with a walking frame into your shopping trolley or something else non-event , I just bounced lightly like you would touch parking. So I guess what I'm trying to say is you can have lots of fun as a beginner without high risk of smashing your vehicle. If you do silly things or are totally immature in judging your ability (or have tickets/ego/showoff tendencies) then you'll probably be of a higher risk.
  21. Phwoaar. I'd be putting tamiya actuators throughout, whack out the remote control unit, install small camera on top and take it to the track. Would look lol if you had the footage of coming upto some 911 or something and then just passing it under the car or wahtever... well - till it went splat heh
  22. I don't think there's anything wrong with someone offering $65k for a $100k car or whatever as long as they know and approach it like they have buckleys chance of getting it. I think it's okay for 3 reasons - firstly it's easy to say no. Secondly the buyer may like a quick-lowy to fall back on (say if they're going overseas) and thirdly because if you spread your bets you might get a bargain. I'm sure we've all got a mate, or been lucky ourselves to have had cash at the right place at the right time. What shits me is the f**king wankers who have absolutely no clue. There's one f**kwit on this forum who came and drove my cefiro, agreed to a price - I thought the deal was done and dusted. He tried to put a $50 deposit on the car, I thought he was genuine so for that kind of amount I said don't worry just pay me in 4 days or whatever you said. 4 days pass and he says he is waiting for his boss to sign a letter so he can give it to the bank as evidence, contingent on that the loan is approved and ready for him. 1 week passes and he says he is having trouble getting his boss because he's on holidays and should be back in a week. 2 weeks pass and his boss is supposedly back but now he's having trouble with the bank. 3 weeks and he's still swearing like all shit that he's going to buy the car and that he's just waiting on the loan to come through. 4 weeks pass and, while I haven't stopped talking to other buyers, I'm getting annoyed. The f**kwit is still telling me he's getting the loan but since he's having trouble how about I swap him for his car plus cash adjustment. I say no. The f**kwit keeps calling me over the next 2 weeks to see how I'm going and have a chat. Either he wanted to get f**ked in the ass or he doesn't have any friends but at this point I really knew this guy was a headcase f**kwit and a timewaster. What's more I saw him posting up to other peoples threads a couple of months later to go and have a look at their cars to buy. The thing is - that's different than just lowballing and hoping to score a deal. I can accept that because not much harm comes of it. I get annoyed when some f**kwit does this, and I lost one buyer who was serious at this point (I called him back and he'd bought a car within a week of talking to him) and it took me another 4 months before I sold my car at less. So if you get a call from some looser Brendan with a r31 tell him to go eat a dick and save yourself some hassle. You'll know because he sounds like a bogan.
  23. I was impressed with the Renault Clio Club - 2L. Not sure of renault models but this one was click click click. The stock clutch in it was even pretty 'race inspired', I stalled it a few times cos it was so springy... Either way the box lets you shift like a meth head.
  24. Wonder if they would fit a bigger sumped sr20 conversion - they're pretty common these days in Aus.
