agreed. I reckon if they break a 35 for their first big event that will be a massive achievement. anything past that is gravy. hell under a 40 is a big effort.
-
R35 is a bit different to most cars. particularly a track R35. don't forget they have a transaxle so lots of weight in the rear and consequently less weight up front. and don't forget they balanced it further with tools etc. but the point is if the car only fits backwards, you put it on backwards.. I don't think driving it to sydney was an option...

the nick heidfeld edition beans one not bad.

dude, every car sold in japan has a 180km/h speed LIMIT and as such a 180km/h maximum on their speedo. that includes the R35 GTR too... I'm trying to help but getting close to giving up. all this stuff about the R35 being tuned hard and thus doesn't have as much potential is just nuts. for starters look at the facts. RB26 produces 280hp from the factory (as per the japanese manufactures agreement of the day) VR38 produces nearly 500hp from the factory. 2.6 vs 3.8L I6 vs V6 wet sump (and fragile at that) vs semi-dry sump 5 speed synchro box vs rear mounted 6 speed DSG transaxle no VCT vs VCT there are so many more but the fact is the VR38 has plenty of potential. have a look at how many VR38s can easily produce 800hp then see how hard it is to get a GENUINE 800hp out of an RB26. it's not easy.

you coming down martin? make sure to say hi.

if you need some help getting decals made in sydney I might be able to sort you out.

yeah it's impossible to predict times for a first event of a car. I'm sure they'll just be happy if it runs cleanly and comes back with some good data on where to go from here. it could do a flat 30 or it could be a flat 40.... only one way to find that out.

lol, das is goot!

lol, "forgestar the name you can trust in cast alloy wheels". those advans looks beautiful. love to see they are designing stuff specifically for big brakes. will be great for all the R32-R34 guys with big alcon kits etc.
-
trust me it's a trick. people said hitler appeared quite normal and friendly when he first appeared as a guest at some beirhaus in the 20s... vettel is still as massive fkwit. he's just getting better at hiding it when in public.
-
plus if you had driven it on forwards and left the wing on it would create some serious fuel economy issues! looks great guys. see you at the track.

basically you will need a non ABS master cylinder and new lines made up for the front and a connection from where the old rear lines end in the engine bay over to the master cylinder. but yeah you definitely need to buy a non-abs master cylinder.

good stuff. you will love them. they're my favourite budget/midrange street/track tyre.

Need Advice On Hub Rings
Beer Baron replied to Zaver's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
get the rears too mate. without the hub rings studs are prone to the odd failure. -
ok, yep for sure you need to drive the car first and then go from there. honestly you will be shocked. they are laggier than a GTST. GTSS are HKS GTSS (come in twin kit for GTRs). also, NO GTR model has VCT all the R32-R34 engines are essentially the same, same specs. the 34 has very minor changes that don't really affect performance much if at all. the turbos did change slightly but you wont want to be using ANY of the stock turbos regardless of R32/33/34. Yeah the mines GTR is not as simple as bolting on HKS 2530s, for starters is has VERY different diff ratios. they went from R34 GTR which is 3.6:1 to R32 GTS4 which is 4.375:1 which is a massive change considering they're still using the standard R34 gear ratios. and even then it's not as responsive as it appears in videos. 500-600hp is much more realistic target and you can still have a good package in that power range. HKS GTSS turbos standard size valves very mild or even standard cams (tuned with adjustable cam gears) very mild head with basically just port match intake and exhaust manifodls, leave squish pads alone get the exhaust side flowing very well (BIG dump pipes, front pipes and high flowing exhaust) nice smooth piping and good intercooler good ecu and tune run the GTSS at 25psi if you can get them running that hard and you should have well over 550hp and a car that is as responsive as a standard GTR (maybe even a touch better) even stuff like get a lightweight multiplate clutch (carbon if you can afford it) and lightweight flywheel. it all helps.

me too. the last think i'd be thinking whilst trying to break her in half is 'geez one boob feels 3mm higher than the other... eww gross'. she is smokin. and as above even if she wasn't she has plenty of other redeeming qualities. her huge fake rack is just one more on the list of positives in my eyes.

I don't know where your info comes from but what makes you think an RB engine is lighter than a VR38? that's completely wrong. also there are bigger differences than just capacity. one is a I6 one is V6 for starters which really alters the engines characteristics. the Vr38 also has VVT which helps too. the ONLY viable option for you is hollinger. its $20K which is cheap for the advantages it will give you. with the strain gauge in the gearknob and flat shift (ign cut) mapping in your ECU you can do clutchless full throttle shifts. still not as fast as a DSG (like the R35) which it has the next gear pre-selected and is just opening one clutch and closing the other. so forget all the crazy ideas and just buy the hollinger. it fits easily and will transform the car. you will have change from $30K even buying the box/clutch/tailshaft and installation.

mate HKS 2530s are great but no way are they hitting full boost at 3,500rpm. have you driven even a standard GTR? even with standard turbos (which are only good for about 280kw max) full boost hasn't arrived by 3,500.. with 2530s you are talking more like 4,000+ and they are no where near close to 800hp (more like 600-650hp). if you want 800hp you are talking full boost around 5,000rpm or later. if you want it to be really responsive and great to drive around town you are looking at GTSS which are 500-550hp set-up but very responsive. if on the other hand you want the 800hp you need much bigger twins or a big single. my advice is drive the GTR first and see what you like/don't like about it. even a stock GTR is a fairly laggy car.

yeah the autronic is a great ECU and the CDI is great too. there's also nothing wrong with a power FC. both of them if tuned well will run the car beautifully. you could swap to the power FC and sell your current autronic set-up and probably not lose any money in the process. power FC is great on a street car, they run very nicely. really up to you. a patch look for the autronic is a fine idea though too.
-
you're kidding right? she looks just fine to me. hell she could look like a busted arse and I'll still hold her hand in public with that much coin and an old man who runs everything that is F1....

wasn't really intentionally kept under wraps as such. just kept evolving and still is right up to the last minute. lots of good stuff to see though. -
