don't worry mate the warranty is well and truly void on that particular 'printer'.... lol. -
yeah you can join team brisbaron. we are always looking for new members to help extend the time it takes to go from paying for a round to having to pay for a round again.... a few years back I very nearly went on a cruise (no not P+O) that goes from the sth of france and stopped at nice, cannes film festival and then monaco for the GP. with this mob http://www.windstarcruises.com/ the don't seem to do a GP trip anymore. I guess that means we'd have to drive there in hired ferrari's then? or even better we all buy E36 M3s and have a no holes barred mini world championship. take in zandvoort, Spa, silverstone. nurburgring and a few special stages thrown in?

I'm with roy. it's grasping at straws a bit but if vettel were to get injured (say in the carpark at hungry by a aussie webber fan?) and was out for 4 races it's not unreasonable to see webber winning 3 or even all 4 of those races (given how many second places he's had behind vettel). vettel is currently 80 points ahead of webber. 3 wins would see webber now only 5 points behind and 4 wins would put him 20 points ahead. troy, make it both legs mate. 5 races might be better.

Silverstone, Ring, Monza And Spa In 8 Days
Beer Baron replied to Roy's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
YEAH BUDDY! it's been nearly a year since we terrorized europe and now you are back to do it again only without me (you cnt). just make sure you have me on board for 2012..... or I will seriously fking headbutt you next time I see you. so are you going to reveal brisby's plans for august? and what the car is likely to be to your hungry public? -
yeah the only hardcore ones were all the gypsies trying to pick our pockets while we stood watching their card games! agree but not on the order. we have now both done a few GPs and I reckon next one should be monaco, then silverstone. then japan (suzuka of course) and spa on equal terms. then rank monza and aus GP.

bummer 2pee. didn't know that! the RX4 on my105 looks pretty good value. especially with 2 engines and another in bits! but yeah rotors can be a whole lot of pain. but when going well they are great. -
yeah it's a bummer but they do still look great. just a shame they are that 10-15mm short. but again, overall the look is perfect.
-
should do that easily. a stock GTR with just exhaust, boost and a tune (250kw) will run low 12s on stock turbos. stagea is a bit heavier but with aftermarket turbos it should be more like low 12s or 11s.

Where To Mount An Accusump In A Rb26 Enginebay?
Beer Baron replied to Moodles2's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yeah you use them to pre-oil on start up, and then they can be set-up with a pressure switch. if through high g-cornering/braking/accelerating oil pressure drops it discharges into the engine to keep oil flow and pressure up. once pressure is above a certain point it recharges again. -
Hks Gt-Ss Just Off The Dyno At 560 Rwhp
Beer Baron replied to sirimport's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
420kw atw with a pair of GTSS? I don't like to be a sceptic but I doubt it. having said that japanese dynos are highly optimistic. when we put berrys car on a dyno in japan back in 07 it made 1000hp!! in aus it was about 400kw. -
The Graded Bearing Debate ? Please Help Answer
Beer Baron replied to ZimNismoBoy's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
new cranks are not that expensive <$1500. when doing a build with top $ parts (pistons rods etc) it's often worth buying a new crank for piece of mind. no point having all good gear with a bent crank... -
Compliance Plates?
Beer Baron replied to ODYSSEYGTR's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
ok, don't know of any personally up your way. but if all else fails the one on p'matta road is there but I'm sure you'll find one closer. you can drive the car if you like. you are allowed to legally drive your car for the purposes of obtaining registration. you must drive directly to and from the weighbridge via the most direct route. no need to spend money on a tow unless the car is un-roadworthy in some way. to cover yourself ring the RTA first and directly ask them "is it legal to drive......." and make a note of when you called and who you spoke to. and then type up a letter of intent stating "i will be driving my vehicle for the purposes of obtaining registration on XXX date leaving my house at XXX time travelling to XXXX weighbridge and back" date and sign it and if you get pulled over present it. -
I said LEGAL guns mate. not a stolen colt 45 from biker steve. a brand new glock 9mm in box with with magazine etc is $1000 to $1500. used is half that.

is it possible to cut/file down the bump rubbers so they are smaller but can still be used? might be a good idea if possible. love the overall look but surprised about the skirt fitment. that little step at the front would annoy the hell out of me. with the wheels, boot etc the car now looks more like an exotic.

you sure you're not from sydney's western suburbs? lol. you sure you don't like gold chains? seriously though. nice one. I like the old RX3s. another good way to die in a loud car without taking too many down with you! -

I'm guessing all you rotor baggers (i'm looking at you marlin) have not heard of 787B?? I went to a super GT race in Japan a few years back and they had old GT and LM cars there including the 787B. heard it rap it's way down the 1km+ straight at fuji and I reckon if you were outside somewhere on the west coast of aus you'd have heard it too! I'd go as far to say I'd take it over any skyline/GTR ever built!!! my god it would be a quick way to die!! I can't even drive the thing flat knacker in GT5 let alone real life. -
seriously troy. challenge vettel to a fight in the carpark. he looked scared when I tried it at monza.... which reminds me. the italian fans were a bunch of girls. my lone 'carn webber' shouts could be heard over all the surrounding so called tifosi and all the english ring-ins sprouting their hamilton/button love. and we were standing at parabolica for god's sake. they are supposed to be vocal and drunk? my primary school headmistress could out drink and out shout the lot of them.

Compliance Plates?
Beer Baron replied to ODYSSEYGTR's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
no worries. I have no idea where you are hence I didn't suggest any in particular but I used to often use one on parramatta rd. near strathfield/lidcombe way. -
good point bloodnut. look at kubica? massa? and yes I remember schueys broken leg(s?) maybe 2001? or 2003?
-
PS, take the 3 extra months. nothing worse than sitting on 1 point for a whole year wondering when you are going to get your collar felt for the tiniest infraction. you'll suddenly see every taxi in your rearview mirror as a cop car (like the bloke in the drink driving ads). take 3 months. it's not the end of the world.

SAU tries hard to be a site all people can access. it's why we have swear word filters and why we have a no pornography rule. I'm not sure if W34pnGT removed his own avatar but by the time I saw it his avatar pic was of 2 wheels, his profile pic however still had the 'drawing' in it. I've removed it (it's blank now). I haven't added to your warning level as most people get 1 free pass off me unless they do something really nasty. I know it's meant in fun and is not exactly sexually explicit but it does depict a man's genitalia and that is offensive to people with young kids etc. In future please refrain from posting or using any pics or drawings that could be construed as being pornographic. my advice is this. if you are about to post something and then wondering "is this ok, or not ok?" chances are it's not ok. if it was totally ok you wouldn't have to think about it. carry on.

ok, well lucky for my neighbours I only get up a 5am for trackdays.... workdays is more like 8:30... but yeah my FD was loud buy NA rotors are LOUD!! -
I don't think any ADM cars have LC1. might need to re-check that. I thought only the early 07/08 JDM cars had LC1? afaik the first aus cars were already LC2.
