it is. it's the only one they ever made. was slated for production with a $250K price tag and was called HRT 427. one was made but in the end holden corporate realised they'd probably be losing money on the things even at $250K and that's providing they could even sell them at $250k anyway. you must be thinking of the 4 door HSV thing. not the same deal.

yeah that's more like it. well done. -
to be honest I really watched it slip away from webber in korea when he left 25 points against the side of the wall and gifted those same points to alonso.... I half knew it then but did not want to accept that it was over.

Nsw State Champs On Tv Wed 17 November, 7.30pm
Beer Baron replied to Duncan's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
can I just say speed channel is kick arse. especially in HD. great coverage of FIA GT classes, Formula 2, formula renault, every bloody touring car class under the sun, all the LMP stuff too and even drifinting including full D1 GP coverage if that floats your boat. and available on speedHD and regular speed for those not in the HD revolution. my girlfriend hid it from me for a few days but I found it. -
Bnr32 Track Build

I seem to have seen better results with the HKS actuators. i've seen a few times with 'weak' generic garret ones causing boost control problems but if you already have them it seems a hassle to replace them on a hunch... for the greddy piping kit there is a Z32 AFM specific kit. get that one. if you are using nismo afms you get the standard afm kit. and if using no afms then get either kit. as you'll have to modify a little anyway. -
that's not even starting on the education aspect. drivers have been told for years that "slow is safe" regardless of their attention level, or car maintenance schedule, or their re-tread tyres, they believe if they drive slowly they are driving safely. never mind they are blocking the road causing frustration for other motorists, never mind they are unaware of the motobike in the lane beside them. they are driving slowly so therefore are 'doing the right thing'. just look past the fact that they encroach into other lanes around corners, brake suddenly for no reason, fail to indicate wild lane changes. they are slow so nothing else matters about their driving. the government has told them so for years.

a-thank you. I am not the man with all the answers but a great portion of the behaviour on our roads can be directly attributed to the conditioning motorists have received via their government using advertising, speed enforcement and other so called 'education' programs. But even worse is the level of penalties for various offences. Can you believe if I park in a 2hr parking zone and pay my $6.60 per hour (yes it costs nearly the minimum hourly wage to park a car on the street in areas of Sydney) but for whatever reason I arrive back to my car 3 minutes late I get a fine for "overstay parking" of $86. Now in this case my worst crime is costing the government 0.33 cents in parking revenue and possibly caused another motorist to have to find another space or wait 3 minutes for mine to become vacant. Conversely if I attack the parking attendant writing the ticket by repeatedly punching him in the head and damage his face and cause him no end of mental problems stemming from this assault my most likely punishment (providing this is my first time assault just like above example was a first time 'overstay parking offence') is a good behaviour bond (which basically says I must obey the law or I'll get punished! isn't that true for every citizen? That we must obey the law or get punished?) and be fined court costs of $78. So in short, overstay parking 3 minutes and cost government 0.33 cents = $86 fine Cause another human being harm and untold mental pain with physical assault and get told you now must obey the law and get find $78. Do not even start into the fitness of punishment we receive for speeding offences as the scales of justice are even further out of whack there. If you don't believe me go along to your local court one day and watch proceedings. you will see plenty of lovely characters being charged with assault and drug offences and the majority of first time offenders get a section 10 (no conviction recorded), a good behaviour bond (aka being asked to obey the same rules as everyone else), and get charged court costs. You will even see it hapen to repeat offenders too who get bond on top of bond and probation on top of probation. my issue is not so much that these people are being under-punished (though that is a problem for another discussion) but more so that the law is so out of whack when a person caught parking longer than he should gets more penalty and inconvenience that a man who assaults another human being. that is just mental.

I am still not over the fact that when I first tried to buy this car for daniel it was 100% sold. and only after pleading and rapid calls to japan and promises of rapid purchase did they 'un-sell' it for us and disappoint some poor japanese buyer! you are lucky man daniel-san! same thing happened to me in reverse not long after on a car I was told was mine and was then sold form under me. still you are one lucky mo-fo and it's such a beautiful car and special in so many ways.

unfortunately your only real option (assuming your insurer won't help you and they wont since you don't have full insurance) is to send a letter of demand. get two quotes from 2 different repairers and attach them with your letter of demand. he will most likely chuck it in the bin or maybe he'll send you a letter of demand stating you owe him money for damaging his car. after this you then go to small claims court. it looks like it's most likely his fault (but they may rule against you). so assuming you win (and remember you might lose) then court will then direct him to pay you. he will most likely laugh at that too and not do a thing. and so will continue the processes of trying to get money out of him. the one thing to take away from all this is that full insurance is a must. if you had full insurance you'd have no problem. they would pay for your repairs and make damn sure they got their money back out of the deadbeat.

Need Advise Where To Take Skyline For Repairs

heaps of thread in this section with opinions on workshops. have a little search around and you'll find enough info. -
yeah I know, wasn't referring to your case (or any case) in particular just the way in which speeding 'offences' (and i used that term loosely) are enforced in this country. they place much greater importance on speed limit watching than watching the traffic and road conditions which can actually cause accidents. I mean how many accidents are caused just by some bloke doing 120 down a straight stretch of 110 highway? not many I would wager. No car I know of suddenly goes from a beacon of safety at 110 to a death trap waiting to spontaneously throw me off the road at 120. Conversely how many accidents are caused by driver inattention or lack of awareness of their surroundings and lack of anticipation of other motorists actions? Many. I've personally witnessed dozens and i've avoided many more purely by knowing what is behind me, what is beside me, who is in that side street up ahead what the bloke in front is doing. I couldn't give a shit if I'm doing 63.2km in a 60 zone I'd much rather have my eyes on the bloke in the driveway who hasn't made eye contact with me yet and looks like he's about to launch out into my path of travel. which is better? me t-boning him at a nice legal 60km/h? Or me seeing what's going to happen and having time to swerve around him at my illegal 63.2km/h? perhaps if it's a cop in this situation pulling out of a driveway without due care and attention he can fine me for 3km over the speed limit and avoiding a perfectly legal accident. Oh wait, speed enforcement is all about safety isn't it? I think not. As a person who rides a motorbike daily to and from work and own and drive a variety of cars I am subject to all sorts of clowns on the road watching their speedos. I bet if at any moment I stopped one and simply asked them: "is there a car behind you right now and what is it doing" most would not be able to tell me as they have no idea what is happening around them as the government has told them that the only safe way to drive is watch your speedo and stick to their arbitrarily applied speed limits. I own a variety of vehicles from a scooter with 10hp to a sports bike, to a 600hp GTR, to a 4.5tonne truck and I drive and ride at a speed at which I think is safe. This includes taking into account my current state of awareness and alertness, the vehicle i'm operating (it's tyres, brakes, handling performance etc), the road conditions, and the level of fckwits around me and what they are currently telling me through their driving. if it happens to coincide with the sign on the side of the road then great, if not then I guess I run the risk of being labelled a criminal simply for driving my car in a safe manner. sorry for the rant but the amount of shit driving I see happen every day that in the eyes of the law is perfectly legal drives me nuts. yet I see perfectly competent, attentive, intelligent drives get reamed time and again for small speed infractions and the like. when was the last time someone was find for forming a rolling blockage 10km/h below the speed limit by sitting in the overtaking lane right beside someone doing the same speed as them? I've certainly never head of it or seen it happen, but fkwits hog the right lane like it's a hobby. if you want to drive slowly what is bloody wrong with the left hand lane? I know I use it when I'm intending to drive at or below the limit.

Who Insurances Imported Cars? Other Than Shannons...
Beer Baron replied to Marko R1's topic in General Automotive Discussion
100% the accident is what has changed your premium. people often go on about the fact of no claim bonus protection etc but what they forget is any claim with change how they calculate your premium so sure the NCB only drops one tier (or none at all if you have full NCB protection) but that means little when your base premium will get massively increased. that's what's happened to you. you've had an at fault claim and they've re-assessed your premium. it's a bit rough but quite normal. if you can however get a better deal elsewhere then go for it. but most places will factor in an at fault claim in the last 12 months if you tell them about it (which you 100% should do). -
also don't forget you can no longer re-register 'repairable' write offs in nsw any more. too many fkers using the scheme to re-birth stolen cars as opposed to poor mechanics who bought financial write offs and repaired them nicely in the hope of making an honest buck.

well he's spent a few years blasting holes through the back of indian toilet bowls. so it's only natural that he's met a few Force India bigwigs in the khazi that he can chat up between battleshits?

could not agree more... lol. maybe 3 man team with webber and roy in one car and ricciardo as teh number 1 driver in the other car? roy and webs to have special head to head qualy session on saturdays to see who gets to drive on race day. in case of a tie it reverts to all in brawl...
-
fck you duncan! don't talk about my mate webber that way. I'm going to find your house and pee on the foundations so the pee will soak into the concrete and any time it gets wet for the next 20 years the smell will remind you to not say mean things about webber in my company!
-
lol. also agree. f**k I hate zetool so much it hurts. I shut off the tv as soon as his car crossed the line. all excuses aside webber fcked himself. I am sure the team fcked with him a bit too and his lack of pace in this last crucial race is more than a bit suss but had he made a few better decisions he would have been clear winner. it's sad though considering he led the championship for a while and was right up there and bloody vettel has only hit the front once. at the end of the last bloody race. arsehole.
-
agree 100% we need fuel stops to inject some life into this. on tracks where tyres are not an issue cars just get trapped and that it. game over. webber and alonso may as well have parked it on about lap 12 as without any strategy options they were not going anywhere. super lame.
-
could not agree more. I had expected a massive rage tantrum including me smashing my TV like a teenager on roids but I was just sad. I just sat on my couch closed my eyes and tried to pretend it was not happening.
-
yeah the spastics. I had a breif ray of hope when I heard webber was starting 4th not 5th. then I realised tehy are just fking retarded.
-
done.

good choice mate. you know my thoughts, the car looks wonderful as is. It's very special and there will never be another one like it considering it's a genuine NUR, with 1 owner since new, with very few kms but mega $$$ in quality parts all fitted and tuned at Midori Seibi.

[Closed] Borg Warner Efr Series Turbos
Beer Baron replied to Lithium's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
hmm it doesn't look quite as nice as hoped does it. but graphs are one thing real world performance is another. My problem with it is that there is a big gap between the 750hp rated 8374 and the 1000hp rated 9180. right now it would be really nice to have a 850hp model in there. all the other models have nice 100hp steps between them (or less on the B1 models) but from the 750 it goes straight to 10000. oh well I'm sure there will be some aus results soon enough.
