  1. Hey this thread is ancient!!!!! These things will happen on Noahs Ark!!!!!
  2. steve is a good guy, he just likes making money at the speeding motorists expense!!
  3. The massive length of the queue is why there is 2 MAS events this year, this has to be a good thing and here's hoping that SAU wins best car club...... if we're in the running for it, as we're really a bunch of nutbags that chat online!!!!
  4. Just weld the diff!! it don't rain much!! and hours of fun parking in tight places!!
  5. Hot glue and cable ties!!! and if that don't work a coupla blue LED's should help **** i'm funny!!
  6. Nice ride man, shame about the girly little turbo!! the tacho is no great loss but it would have been nice to have been consulted about it's removal! My advice is to get a dyno tune before driving this car, i have seen too many melted pistons from driving cars like this, our fuel is different, and tuning can be affected by flat batteries and stolen parts.
  7. My boys birthday party today, and the skyline is already overdue for a timing belt, so mabe next time That lada must have ripped the dyno a new one !!!
  8. An auto at the drags is the way to go, sounds like you have had some expensive fun Nizmo!! when I break my auto i will use that as an excuse to fit a manual as dorifto is more fun and less work with the clutch factor, and without a computer deciding what gear i should be in!!
  9. My personal experience with a series 2 r33, that was running 1.2 bar for 3 months saw the exhaust impeller shatter and take up residence in the front of the Catylitic converter in granule form. The replacement unit was the same with a steel inlet impeller and plastic exhaust impeller. I may be mistaken in thinking that 34's have the same design...... I have not removed a turbo from one personally. I can, however, tell you with absolute certainty that the earth is flat and Renault engines are the best thing to happen to nissan......
  10. Well, my auto was fine until i got it serviced! When it breaks it's time for a 5 speed as the missus has never driven it anyway! Auto skylines run a more conservative ecu map and generally do not respond well to increased boost, an aftermarket ecu is a good idea there.
  11. the only weakness in any skyline is the clown in the drivers seat that insists on making it faster, sexier, louder, etc!!! oh and the plastic exhaust impeller that likes to turn into powder when given curry at higher boost settings!! and the fact that the rear tyres wear quickly..... Oops, no thats the driver again!
  12. 4 Doors Rock!! :D Thanks man!
  13. Melvs Neons KICK ASS :kick: Thanks James! Hope you are enjoying your alarm mate, wish i could get some interior ones for MAS, but running out of time and money!!
  14. :boohoo: Wish i was there, :boohoo: boo hoo
  15. Interested in pricing of carbon fibre 33 bonnets too!
  16. Ok, first of all you start with no DEmerit points, if you started with points they would be MERIT points. In the good 'ol days you could accrue 12 demerit points within a 3 year period without suspension, now on p's you have half that. the only speculation is whether this applys to p platers that were already liscensed when this new legislation (big word that)! was passed. When you drive some one elses car you become responsible for it and any legal issues if caught driving it in an un roadworthy condition. (or sideways)! Mind you your brother should pay the fine or forever deal with the fact that he will burn in hell if he dosen't! Display your p's clearly at all times or incur the rath of the moderately unfair traffic laws. This is your responsibility and the fine and demerit scheme is a friendly reminder! Also be careful not to exceed the speed limit by more than 3kph as you will be fined and generally pissed off like millions of victorians!
  17. Slamm, definately sounds like your shocks are rooted. Also coil overs are completely overrated when it comes to road grip, that is unless they are setup correctly and used with the ideal ride height. Sounds like you have good springs already so some good shock inserts for your standard struts would be a cheaper and more suited to your criteria, that is if you want to grip not slip! Greg, for the roads you travel on, I would recommend a firm spring with a medium gas insert. From experience too firm on the shockers results in too much steering effort. I am glad that my nismo shocks and springs are still good at 100,000k and when they do give up I hope to get them kitted and reuse them. Thanks to Prank for fixing the new posts tab, that is probably why Greg's thread went unanswered.
  18. For some reason that eludes me, Skylines have more negative camber on the front right. this seems to be by design. the hicas light being illuminated constantly is not a good look. If this was my car i would reset with the steering straight and then post the results for further feedback. Park your car with the steering wheel straight and both front wheels pointing forwards. This may sound dumb but, I have seen skylines that have had the ECU reset with the front wheels off centre, display disturbing rear wheel steering at high speed. Disconnect your battery and depress the brake pedal. This will reset your ECU and HICAS computer. If the symtoms persist please consult your doctor, or post results here. It sounds like your wheel aligner may have something to rectify, but a reset and visual inspection of the rear suspension could help to remedy your problem. If any of the above comments seem stupid, condecending or helpful please feel free to curse Black Douglas and Dry.........
  19. He's not the mesiah, he's just a naughty boy!
  20. No but I will be doing something nice for the late MAS in my car, no time or money to do it for the april one. :boinkcar: In the middle of a custom install in an Integra at the mo, but it's no skyline!
  21. I fill up when the fuel light comes on, Usually takes 58 to 60 litres, I prefer ultimate to optimax, however i have found i get more k's from opti, work that out! The sucking noise sounds suspicious, you should be able to get a fuel cap from a parts place like bursons, repco, autobarn etc. Good luck
  22. Well I just wrecked the paint job on my dashboard and found out tyres are worth $1418 and my rims will cost $600 to repair and refinish....... and guess what ........ I'll be there with bells on!!!! I will probably be speaking in my squeaky just got my nuts crushed by the missus voice, but I'll be there!! :D:D
  23. Oh,...... so what..... no neons then?!!!
  24. Sweet, a bit practical though! would have been better with lower suspension and wider rims......... Look forward to seeing the respray. Well done Wagons kick ass!!!
  25. Your work sucks!! :slap:
