  10. Nice thread this will get stickied. More people should take the time to do this! Well done. I always carry out complex repairs and wish i had got snap happy in the process!! however the how to install remote start paging alarms with boot release central locking , window roll up, sunroof closure etc etc would take way too long and give me nothing to do as a result!!! Keep up the good work!
  11. That is a photo from nissan's website that is no longer available. I do have the genuine 15 piece kit on my car thanks to j-spec imports but it's not the real deal like yours. i so want to see your car. :aroused: are you going to participate in a cruise soon?

  13. I would think that caliper clearance would be the only possible issue too demon dave, why chris, do you need to cut up some pizzas??? or do some circle work??
  14. Good to hear you're home and on the road to recovery.
  15. The ignition wire on the tt is green or blue and connects to the black with red trace on the ignition wiring loom. all the main power connections should be soldered, and probably are not. Pull it apart and check it out.
  16. The bracket should come with the motor, you bend it here and there to mount the motor properly. the top black box is for the factory express down function for the drivers power window the one below it is window roll up for the alarm. yes, drivers door. the lil hole at the top of the motor is for the rod that should come with the motor to go through and it attaches to the door lock linkage with aanther part that you should have got with the motor. the door jam is the area around the door that the door closes into.
  17. GTR 34 get yourself a job in the automotive industry, even part time sales, then get your boss to put in to vic roads to get a dispensation for you to drive high powered cars as a requirement for your job. It's worth a try, I know mechanics that have done it. Good luck
  18. I need me one of them thar blue Hyundai thingos to scrape the mud of mi boots when i get home!!!
  19. Leave the plastic, it stops dust and moisture from wrecking your door trim, The easiest way to get it out of the way is to cut the black goo with a knife while pulling the plastic away. you only need the green and blue wires. you can hook them up to the factory door lock module next to the glove box or next to the steering column on series two, to run the wires through the door you need to undo the 10mm bolt in the connector in the door jam. then un clip the connector from the car side and pull it out all the way and stretch it so you can plug them together out of the mounting. then pull the rubbers back and carefully drill a hole through the guts and that will allow you to run 2 wires through for the motor. The attached pic gives you an idea of how to mount the motor, hope this helps, -Danny :wizard:
