  1. I was asking the same question when i 1st got my R34...Sydney kid got 275rwkw on his R34 using a GCG highflow...But that was with cams aswell..and response as gud as stock!!! That my friend would make alot of 300rwkw RB25DET piss. It all depends on the power target u are trying to achive. So how about u tell us what ur aiming for which would help in deciding what turbo is best suited for that application...BTW if ur after 300rwkw....FORGET about response and driveability
  2. GCG high flow....Good for 250-260rwkw and response similar to standard huffer...And thats about the max u would want to have with standard internals...But if ur budget allows for it, go HKS GT2835 Pros kit with 0.6X a/r...Lethal street weapon! And if u decide to do internals later on down the track the turbo good for 280rwkw.
  3. many late nites researching this forum and many overtime shifts at work got me my parts...and ive only added half of it. Kinda hoping i would get some feedback from people that have actually had their engines rebuilt.. When everything is done and up and running then i'll came back to this thread and add my experince and hope it will help someone else in the same boat
  4. mayb wen u spend $20k on ur engine.....looking for a workshop to do a good job/price would be of use to you....But in ur case....installing a pod filter then i surpose any old person would do
  5. how about prices the workshops charge? Well u pretty much pay for what u get..but if I can get the same quality for a better price..
  6. what is the reason why u choose steve and top racing?
  7. I finally got all my parts needed to do the rebuild. All parts are supplied by me. Wiseco 40thou pistons + rings Eagle H beam rods + rod bolts ACL big end + main bearings 1.2mm HKS headgasket Tomei Poncams Heavy duty valves Headstuds N1 oil + water pumps HkS timing belt What workshop do you guys reccommend to do the job properly? Everyone seems to think that the only workshop in perth is Xspeed..Interested in feedback and experinces from other places. Any ideal or ball park is to how much much it will cost? I want maximium reliablilty and it all crack and pressure tested, x-rayed and complete bottom end balanced.
  8. yeh i beta give " specialised power porting " a call. BTW i am saving up for your plenum
  9. Can any1 shed some light on getting my turbo extrude/power ported? Apparentley the gt2835 comp has poor casting at the outlet? What benfits would there be? Im assuming quicker spool?
  10. duznt the internally gated come wif hks actulator?
  11. yeh i was considering that option...heard it worked for sum and not for others. Any1 here had/heard of good benifits? I also want to retain the standard exhaust manifold, hks dump and front etc....Seen external wastegates been weilded onto the comp housing which may be the onli way to go...But would there be sufficent room to allow this? Screamer pipes sound so cool!
  12. I have a hks gt2835 pro s..Before i install it on my car i want to know if there's any way to strengthen the actulator? I heard these turbos start to drop off boost around 16psi...But i want to run 20-22psi which i heard is where they make their peak power?
  13. how about power porting as another option? Heard it gives a better/smoother finish?
  14. I want to get a custom RB25DET manifold ( tuned length ) but people have said that it is not worth while if it is going to take the standard turbo position ( HKS GT2835 pros kit ). It wont be able to have decent runners or collector design? So I was thinking of extrude honnig the factory at UAS. Any one made any noticable power gains???? Also anyone here cracked over 300rwkw with HKS GT2835 .87 a/r cams etc? Ive been reading that the WG has trouble holding boost..How bot weliding shut the interanl and using a external WG???
  15. Looking for a place in perth 2 make up a custom manifold that will take the standard turbo postion as I have a hks gt2835 pros kit. Any suggestons? Rough Prices? Is it even worth while cause it wont be able to get any decent runner length, merges etc... May have to stick with honning the standard one..... cheers
  16. that is one huge file...Looks good...who makes them?
  17. I too also need a aftermarket manifold to suit the standard position as my turbo is also a hks gt2835pros in kit form. I have spoken to kylie at 6boost and he has said it is impossible to make up one with any decent runner or collector design. The standard postion is 3'' from the head face and points towards the block...And his has suggested that i shudn't even bother as it would be no better then stock! So what are my options them? honed the standard one? xforce???
  18. okies so sum ive heard need alittle extra work to fit while others have said staright fit??? infected flow, what needed to be done on urs? please do tell...How about the TC,TB and fuel rail etc...???
  19. Can anynone 100% confirm that the Greedy (it's Greddy not Greedy - BB) plenum will fit the R34 neo? Besides upgrading to a larger TB...what else is needed? cheers!!
