  1. hey pat man! hows my old girl going?! i miss it too bits. i suggest you go for 10w40 motul turbolight. go to a repco and get it for 51 bucks as theres 15% off motul oils and give it to someone to change up. the rb20 will love you for it but yeh if you can get that 300v deal happening that would be awesome. only thing is that its over kill for a daily lol.
  2. pink with fairy wings tied on it for east side.
  3. i'm guessing you guys aren't from the west at all?
  4. wow this thread got out of hand didn't it . to op...how much are u getting ur drift teks for? i suggest get the rotas from the guys in upgarage in syd. 17x9 +25 all round for 1,250 delivered which look pretty tame on your car. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Rota-P45R-17x9-whee...=item45ef163a6d but if ur prepared to roll and lip if your low then get the 17x9.5 +12 for a couple extra bucks. i think these weigh a tad over 10kg according to some sources. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Rota-P45R-17x9-5-wh...=item45ef16351f or u can get 18x9.5 +12 for a tad bit more http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Rota-P45R-18x9-5-wh...=item45ef162db0 or you can jsut get some work meisters from japan and laugh.

  6. i say check afm and plugs.
  7. ^^ yeh thanks for that mate. thats the answer i was looking for but found out myself last night and this morning which one i needed. GL4 is what we need in our boxes. for any future users of nulon products for your gearbox, the one you need is the smooth shift 75w-85 fully synthetic. didnt go that way though but went the vmx 80. was thinking to go fully synthetic but i think it was all in my head that my box was stuffed bad as it crunches always under load from 1st to 2nd and 3rd to 4th wihtout fail. ended up being the oil in there was prob the orginal oil from factory as it looked so bad with bits of metal and so on. put in vmx 80 as alot of you guys have and worked well. could be better but the crunches aren't there any more which i'm happy about. Also went with motul turbolight 10w40. car runs smoother then when it was on castrol edge 5w30.
  8. ^^ thanks man but i would really like to know about nulons stuff especially the smooth shift 75w-90. anyone had experience with it in a skyline box? also reading alot about GL4 gear oils are better for our cars then GL5? someone confirm?
  9. dunno why people still deal with these guys...hope everything goes well mate.
  10. ^^ isn't that the recommended viscosity? does anyone know if the 75w-90 Nulon Smooth Shift semi synth will work well? has anyone tried it? gearbox is abit crunchy at the moment for 2nd and 4th. or does anyone have any other alternatives that i can use in the gear box besides this?
  11. spotted a darkish grey r34 gtr today with sau on the left quarter window going past VU Footscray nicholson around 12:00pm today. clean as
  12. thanks for your input guys. ended up getting the motul. been recommended vmx m and not the vmx 80. does anyone know the difference? also would like to know if the nulon 75w-90 semi synth smooth shift gear oil would be suitable. nulon suggests their 75w-85 100% synthetic but would liek to know if the semi synth will do fine?
  13. hey guys i'm torn between the castrol edge 5w-30 and the motul turbolight 4100 10w-40 for my next service. would like to know pros and cons for both and past experiences. i've read the oil thread and i know the motul gets heaps of good praise but i want to know about castrol edge more from the people that use it especially with the hotter months closing in. another question i wanted to know is if castrol vmx 80 will be fine for my gearbox and if not what other alternative around that price range would be better? also what can i put into my diff? i have a daily r33 gtst series II with 105,000kms. thanks
  14. ^^ indeed. i'm surprised no one has really recommended them but then i guess they are quite bloody expensive. had neova ad07s on my rear meisters on my last 32 and these things would not let go at all in the wet or dry. most likely the best tyre i've had on any of my cars. never noticed the noise but my exhaust was louder so don't really care lol.
  15. u must feel torn between getting a turbo and sticking with your current car especially being 20 and only having to wait a year to get ur fulls. i love cars so much that i drove a gtst 33 on my green p's and was prepare to accept the consequences (back then green p's were allowed to drive turbos but not allowed to drive cars over 125kw per tonne which the 33 was). i know i'll get burned for this but if you want a turbo i reckon jsut do it...BUT not in a skyline man. our cars are targeted pretty bad. if i was you and i had 14k i would buy a chaser or a galant. both turbo, 4 door, rare and awesome cars but if your heart is set on a skyline, i suggest you wait.
  16. ^^thanks mate.....still available!
