alright guys got my radiator last night as my last one shit itself. would really like to know how to replace the radiator in my r32 gtst myself as i'm low on funds and don't wana drive my car to my mechanic with a bone dry cooling system. is it simple? i'm a noob..lolz...have a few tools and stuff. it looks pretty straight forward but i haven't had any experience with it so would like to go by a guide. so if someone is nice enough to right a step by step process for me(with pictures if possible ) i would really appreciate it. Also interested to know the process of filling the system with coolant because a few people ahve told me to do a few things like turn on the heater before you fill up the radiator. filling up with tectaloy 90plus. this stuff good? will a 5 litre bottle do the job for both radiator and overflow? any help appreciated! thanks guys!

ahahaha LoL at fail pictures..the one with the dogs tryna squeeze through the door is cute as!

never used it but must say that its good that we have something like import monster to get stuff for us from yahoo auctions as theres been heaps of stuff i've wanted to get but postage is a tad much. lol they should really get a better translator for it though cause the net english translator just isn't good enough. funny reading some stuff on it though. my favourite one i read was for a r32 steering wheel "Because in medieval times you slept in the warehouse, there is some scar, but it is thought that there is no problem in use."

yeh true about dish...same with xd9, emotions, te37's, some of the weds and anything that have that tapered/curved look when theres good offest. avs 6's and buddy club p1's are some i like that don't need good offset.

thanks for that nick...thread can be closed now

awesome thanks for that man...now the shroud is my last problem...no shroud on the one i'm getting...is the gtst one the same as a gtr one?
-
o.k i'm kind of strapped for cash atm and not really in for a whole recondition of my radiator as i can get a couple of radiators for gtr for less than $100. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...amp;hl=radiator theres damage on that top pipe where the hose goes on to...does that look like it will leak like a mofo even with the hose tightened up? also this one doesn't come with a shroud so will a gtst shroud fit on it?

Recently Had Timing Belt And Waterpump Changed Now Car Over Heated
jakez88 replied to jakez88's topic in General Maintenance
hmm...just found out the radiator is leaking and there was nothing in the radiator. filled up the radiator with water to check for the leak and the water just came straight out. when ur under the bonnet the leak is coming from the right side of the radiator. my dad thinks it might be the plug or might have a blown hose? have no idea about these things so what do u guys think it is?...haven't really had a good look but i will tomorow. -
hey guys yesterday i had a timing belt kit installed aswell as a waterpump by my mechanic on my r32 gtst. now today while driving and being in heavy traffic coming home from city the car over heated. pulled over and got it to cool down and managed to tippy toe it back home. now i called my mechanic and he said something about a air pocket in the radiator/pipes? don't really think it is though. i've seen the radiator fluid in the over flow bottle and it seems alot lighter green then m,y last coolant. could this be the reason? also when it started to overheat there was a ticking sound coming from the engine bay that i never heard before. is this normal when the car is overheated? or is it possible that my water pump is stuffed? let me know if u've experienced this guys as i wanna get this fixed asap. thanks

Engine, Gearbox And Diff Oil Being Changed
jakez88 replied to jakez88's topic in General Maintenance
thanks for that mate....can anyone else tell me if these oils aer o.k to use? any other recommendations for the price? -
damn ross which servo was it? taylors lakes one or the one at the entrance of caroline springs on the western? i never go to the taylors lakes one anymore jsut cause they are always higher in price all the time and seem abit dodgy. with bp ultimate i can surely get 450kms out of my tank (r32 gtst) and i'll probably have another 5-10L of fuel left. V-power gives me about 420kms almost at empty. Vortex is probably the same. So for me saving 4 cents a liter doesn't really matter. give mobil a try man and see how u go or jsut don't go to the same bp servo.

damn it looks pretty tough like that...sits pretty low too...yeh jsut try bending it and screwing it down...pretty sure it won't be noticeable
