  1. Ok - NEWS FLASH the dump pipe and cat are now fitted- I eventually ended up getting the Just Jap Stagea one- I suspect its the same one they use for the r33- Pros and cons.... pro - does not foul on anything- was a pretty direct fit- seems to have cleared out a bit of the restriction - its early days yet and I have not really had a chance to get the thing tested out fully.. cons- the angle that the cat sits on when its all bolted up is wrong- instead of the belly of the cat sitting parallel to the road surface - it was a bit " down hill " and on a twist - ie not parallel to road surface.. long story short? I got the cat modified so the flanges are correct so it now sits in the right orientation I am going to feed this info back to just jap and see if they can modify it slightly to be 100% perfect.
  2. I am keen to get loretta back there.. so yeah- depending on date I would say count her in ... perhaps time to stick in some castor bushes....

  4. umm - once the caliper is removed - they usually come straight off - you might have to give them some gentle persuasion with a rubber mallet - but I have neved had to use a puller screwed into those holes you pictured.

  6. gets popcorn and waits overnight for the results!
  7. from wikipedia In May 1998 a NEO head was fitted, which enabled the engine to be classified as a low emission vehicle engine (LEV). The non-VCT and non-turbo was fitted to the R32 Skyline, the VCT turbo and non-turbo was fitted to R33 Skylines and the WC34 Stagea. R34 Skylines also use these engines, but they are fitted with a NEO head.

  19. yeah- I am undecided about the irridium plugs in turbo cars- I ran the irridium ones on my old SR20DE ( non turbo ) and the change was marked- but I didnt notice the same with a turbo car - thats why I tend to run coppers now - but must say I am curious about turbos and irridium plugs
  20. I presume its a 4 stud pattern? if so maybe there is a 5 stud converison thats possible? might give him more selection for rotors etc.. though going from drums to disc is going to be a bit of custom work involved
  21. back to the topic of JJR dump pipes I called Daniel with the measurements of my existing s2 dump and pipe back to the cat the dimensions I read him out matched the dump they list for the stagea- so fingers crossed thats right back to chuckies comments- I think a lot has changed since he got his - so maybe things will fit easier now I have been assured by JJ that it will fit..
  22. you pulsar haters are just not manly enough to handle the insane torque steer hahaa.. nah - I had a n14( the best of the pulsar breed ) that put out 150kw at the front wheels weighed 1100kg - so pretty good power to weight oh and the n14's had independant rears what about an mx5? not terribly fast but good balance etc?
