  1. I am no expert on this but i am pretty sure the auto gearbox fills from the dipstick hole. and I am pretty sure ( I think Dale - Aka StinkyRooster ) mentioned that to drain the gearbox you need to undo all the bolts on the cover under the gearbox or something like that. in regards to the alignment specs.. have a search around the sticky threads in the stagea area there is one very good one about suspension in general and the group buy thread for stagea suspension has some good info in it to Oh and I'm Irish * *an irishman who has spent maybe a grand total of 2 weeks in ireland - but my passport is irish!
  2. dale- depending when you want to fit the swaybars let me know not sure when my swaybars arrive but we could do it all at once

  7. well he did ask the question ! hey dale.. just saw an interesting video on youtube.. there was this lady and goat- no wait.. basically it was a clever way of loosening a really tight wheelnut this guy baiscally got a breaker bar and socket onto the nut - and under the end of the breaker bar he puts the trolley jack under the end of the breaker bar and cranks away! dunno why he didnt just jump on it novel idea
  8. he mentions in the DIY article that you will need to top up the coolant as you will loose it when you remove the radiator
  9. I think what he is getting at is that the puller might be too LONG - not too narrow. usually if you get the right puller etc it prevents you from having to take out the radiator etc.
  10. usually the oil pressure guage gets a signal from either an electronic sensor ( like a diaphram ) or its a T peice that you splice into the oil lines. So from what I understand you get an oil line - cut it - insert the T junction - attach the sensor and run the wire ( or the physical line containing oil ) to the guage. hope that helps
  11. cant make it sorry would have been good though check your PM's for some advice as to where to go to buy parts etc..
  12. damn .. i wont be able to make it to this one unless the date differs.. as I am pretty sure we are going to be in tasmania by then ! shame woudla been a good day!

  14. could not agree more! oh and dont forget to " bag and tag " all the parts etc.. those ziplock bags work a treat.
  15. I would be up for that!!! depending on time etc. you will probably need a puller for the harmonic balancer - but I think you can get that from supercheap or somewhere for not a lot of $$$ and - you do feel remarkably smug for not having taken it to a shop and at least you KNOW the parts are what you paid for and they actually got installed!
  16. so its timing belt time hey? are you sure it has not already been replaced? is DIY an option for you ( to keep the cost down and the fun up )
