R34gtt Side Mount Cooler For Sale
ssshonky replied to brizzi's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
hey matey.. these are good coolers.. as they are fat/thick - I used one on my turbo pulsar before and it worked well. Maybe advertise it on some of the other car forums? -

ssshonky replied to rb26stagea's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I never really liked that shape of stagea.. sorta misses the boxyness that i like on the series 2 but it is definately a hot looking car -

My 34gtt Run 280km With A Full Tank,is That Normal?
ssshonky replied to cmmyjay's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
if you can afford it run with a good fuel like BP ultimate 98 - just less chance of it pinging/detonating if you push it hard. Oh and .. have a look around .. because you can find " equivalent " o2 sensors that are usually less expensive. To be honest I am not 100% certain if the equivalent o2 sensor will be " just as good" as a geniune one. But its worth a go. Make sure you get some good crimp connectors to join it up , as my previous experience with this proved that the wires they use on o2 sensors are impossible to solder ( I think they are stainless? ) -
aah.. school holidays if and I stress IF .. your serious about this make sure your aware of the possible damage it might do also if you REALLY want to do this .. least give the 34 a bit of respect and cut a bit of 3mm Ally plate and paint it black . on a LOT of cars you will get flutter if you back off on low revs - at full throttle the BOV is designed to stop air " ramming up against " the throttle body and traveling back past the turbo wheel

my 2c worth the following could be causing it too Dirty air filter - causing the motor to work harder than it needs to , cause its not getting the airflow it needs Slightly too thick oil - are you using the correct grade of oil in it ? I mistakingly used some stuff that was too thick in another car I had - and I did notice a drop in economy change the o2 sensor as previously advised have you ever had the car on a dyno? the dyno readout of AFR can definately tell you a LOT about what your motor is doing. I think if you were chasing the most kays per tank .. an after market ecu or a few add in mods like a SAFC and a SITC ( I think thats the one that controls engine timing ) if you got the above fitted . and spent some time and money on a dyno tune.. you would probably get more power and use less fuel. dont forget if a motor is running really really rich .. then its safe.. but .. its just pissing fuel out the tail pipe , leaning the mix to a leaner (yet still safe ) will yeild more power and less fuel consumption - but dont fall into the trap though of getting a bit more power and driving like a maniac - cause of course your goign to use more fuel good luck matey! -
yeah to be honest your better off getting someone that knows imports back to front to look over it I have had very mixed results with RAC .. some good some bad.

haa.. at that price are we really surprised? thats SUCH a rip off. and.. 44,000 k .. suuuuure thats legit ! NOT!

Rwd Or Awd. Which Stagea Is Better?
ssshonky replied to stageaC34's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
and.. dont forget- a RWD with LSD is going to want to step out a LOT more than an AWD system ( I presume the rears are single spinners on the AWD models ) -
Rwd Or Awd. Which Stagea Is Better?
ssshonky replied to stageaC34's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Though .. if you think about it .. the RWD only probably has a lot less drivetrain loss.. thus might be better on fuel .. oh and some people LIKE the feeling of seeing the rear of the car appearing thru the drivers window.. opposite lock then crash into a tree- please come agian . after having driven the stagea quite a bit in the wet it does feel safe as houses. so yaeh if you have shares with OPEC I woudl get the AWD -
Wheels World in Osb Park to be sure to be sure. you should just SEE some of the cars they work on .. Iam sure they can nut out what is going on with your stagea. and yes.. I think the Sydneykid Group buy on the suspension would be a good idea! Morethan likely if you installed the suspension group buy kit the clunk might disappear. you sure the clunking is not a CV joint or a Engine mount
-
Just take it to any reputable CV speciallist around you and get them to do it for you nice and easy.. less down time than doing it yourself and depending on what the condition of the CV joint is when you take it apart .. it may or may not need servicing. Dont stress its all too easy! just a few hours waiting around for them to do it

Disengage The Front Wheel Drive On A Gtr?
ssshonky replied to cybersurfa's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Bear in mind though . if your car is AWD ( and you run it AWD most of the time ) your 2 wd dyno readout wont be that accurate.. but it will still tell you if anything is wrong etc.. and give you a rough idea of power output -
from my limited knowledge of Stageas and Skylines.. my money would be on the coilpacks as Cy mentioned. I think its an " across the board " problem with those motors. Apparently you can tape them up ( provides a bit of insulation / stops the spark jumping to ground ) or you can get em new for around $550 I beleive. Croydon Racing Developments have an ad somewhere on here stating they will beat any price etc.

what the hell is the rear bumper flusher maker?

see this is where I am confused.. our cars supposed to be an autech version but it comes with this front bar.. which is slightly different than the front bar you even that bottom one ( which I presume is a stock 260rs ) looks different I shouldnt really comment as our cars not even here and I know 5/8ths of eff all abotu the stageas.. could that front bar be something else? or is there a diff between s1 and s2?
-
you sure its not a gearbox/engine grounding issue? have you done any work on the car as of late? or just walked out one day and its cactus?

Question From The Uneducated: What Is A Dayz?
ssshonky replied to rb26stagea's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
it gets even weirder ( from what I can work out ) cause there is an autech version that isnt twin turbo ! I dont know if this is factory or what.. and wont really know till our car gets here. -
Couple that with some of the low cost reversing cameras you can get and you have a cheap reversing camera!

..wonder If Anyone Will Buy This Second Time Round?
ssshonky replied to jasevr4's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
we were SO close to buying that car.. and .. if its the car I think it is its on coil overs but just looked a bit thrashed/tired I think the front bars been fixed up a bit since the photos I saw. we were thinking of getting some rims similar to taht.. there were some BMW ones we saw that we loved ! -
