Can anyone confirm wether the signal that gets sent to the dash light gear indicator jobby is from the shifter linkage itself, or some sort of relay/switch under the floor pan?

Hello u mob. Been looking around for a while now, but i cant find what i am looking to know. Questions for ya. 1) With the auto gear shifter in my herd of shit at the moment, it has an illuminated gear indicator both in the dash board and the surround for the gear stick itself. I wanna put a B@M megashifter into it. The shifter in question has an illuminated gear selector much the same as the standard arrangement does. So how would i go about wiring the aftermarket B@M jobbie so that it still interfaces with the gear indicator lights in the dash board? I realise that there is no functional reason to do this, i want it purley for wank factor. 2) Whats the best way to make, modify, change the gear surround to fit this shifter in and not have it look like shit. All i have come across thus far are Ratchet shifters that have had the surround cut out. I really dislike this look, however the mega shifter i have has a manual style rubber boot, so the old cut it out formula wont work here. Cant find any details of people using a mega shifter at all. Surely i am not the only one who is gonna do it? Any help or suggestions or details that anyone can pass on would be greatly appreciated. Chris

What does the Impul auto ecu do over the standard one?

Havent seen em do that yet lol. They have literally only just been put in - finished putting them into custom mdf mounts on saturday. I flush mounted the tweeters high up in the door, right close to where the door trim meets the dash. I wont put up pics yet of how they look in the door as my missus threw the grilles they come with out. Ordered some new ones today, when they arrive i am gonna literally put em over the plain factory mesh grille, them i will post up some pics. I was contemplating using a TA3404, but the kicker amp i got instead is bloody massive lol. More than enough power for what i want. Did ya look into adding a second woofer to turn em into a 3 way system?

I sell em where i work. Wasnt 100% about em when they first came in, but they are the goods. Bloody fantastic value for money, excellent sound quality etc

Headunit: Pioneer AVHP5950DVD Front: MTX TXC6.1 (150wrms/300w peak) Rear: Polk MOMO 6.5in co-axials (80wrms/180w peak) on custom parcel shelf Amp: Kicker 06ZX6504 (120WRMS x 4 @4ohms) Sub Amp: Kicker 06zx7501 (750wrms @ 2 ohm) Sub: Infinity Perfect 10's ( 2 of em!) Capacitor: Wiring: Top of the line streetwire rca's and an absolute bundle of 4 guage power cable running around in the boot. The car has about 40 square feet of sound deadening thru out, full boot install, 14gu speaker wire all thru out etc. And the spare tyre is fully accessable too lol. Took 3 months to build up, but i can still get to the spare if need be. I will put some pics up when i get a chance. Future plans include incoporating another mid range woofer into the split system to go to a full Bi-amp 3 way system, roof mount screen, head rest screens, monitor and splits on the boot lid. Same here. Coming up on 182,000 and the interior is 100 times better than cars everyone else's that have half the klms on em.
