I have worked out a bit of moding the sump is required, both to clear cross member and for the aforementioned bottom bracket. Other than that it seems a bit more forward than i first thought...
As the title says, i am just chasing after some info.
I know that this has been done at least, i am just chasing after some specific details about it.
Any info or a shove in the rigth direction would be apreciated.
Cheers,
Chris
Fairly simple if u wanna stay manual....
The plan is to go rwd, but keep the auto (awaiting the flaming lol)
I knows it an odd set up, and would be easier to go manual (much easier ), but i want auto.
From what i understand the 5 speed auto that was used in the zoom magazine featured veh is the same as the 4 speed (which i currently have). What i wanna know is how did they make the 26 fit the auto box?
I have only seen one example of this being done (in the magazine) although i am sure that it has ben done elsewhere
Yeah, it ran the 5 speed auto, was worked over by mv automatics, had r34 gtt rims etc
I am interested in engine mounts, speedo calibrations, how they made the 26 block fit the RE510A (or whatever it is) gearbox etc etc etc.
Have done a search, found nothing that helps.
I am after a wiring diagram for both the r25det and rb20det (both autos)
Even a shove in the right direction would be helpful.
Cheers,
Chris
Yeah i only have about 3 issues of that one. The car getting the roadworthy, one detailing how they fryed the tranny and another about getting the shift sequence right.
Thats where the idea come into my head.
Looked around alot lately about this, but cant find anything, and since this about jap sedans, i thought i would start here.
How many people have put a 26 in a 33 sedan and put up any info about it on here?
Very keen on looking at this when my current motor eventually blows up lol
Cheers Chris
Interesting. Never heard of this before. So your gear changes are quicker and sharper, but it doesnt have the harshness of smacking into gear like a proper shift kit?
Just finished reading this whole thread.
That is one awesome machine. U have done what most of wish we could do (extreme power and times with different engine swap).
Well done mate. Really looking forward to seeing what this thing has in store for us into the future.
