  1. I can’t believe people are getting so upset over this rear wing or R35 in Type 4, I run in type 4 with my old sports sedan and have no issue with R35 being in type 4, I know I’m never going to beat a R35 unless I buy a national level sport sedan, but at least with the rules if my Mazda sport sedan is broken and let’s face its rotor it happens I can run my R32 GTR road car on slicks in type 4 and keep getting points. As for the wing Merek was faster with a fixed wing over the adjustable one? I think the rules need to be changed to clearly state cars with adjustable rear wings car run in SV, or slicks in type 4 we are not in the 90’s any more people there are more and more factory cars coming out with electronic adjustable rear wings so what do you do when they want to run? Sorry you car does not meet CAMS regulations you can’t run........ Let’s get as many cars out there as possible and all be happy. As for cars needing engineering reports to run in SV, that’s true if its very modified but I don’t see where the R35 does not comply, this is from the RTA web site for regulations to body alterations Bodywork and interior There are general requirements concerning alterations to the bodywork: No alteration may cause a hazard to persons due to exposed sharp edges or projections; and No alteration may cause a reduction in the level of safety or overall strength of the vehicle. I’m sure people will flame me for what I have wrote above but at the end of the day these are road registered cars, I take my hat off to you for driving the cars at the best of your abilities and not just pussy footing around it’s just so impressive the lap times these cars can do, I thank you as it has changed super sprinting forever and made every one step up a level. So much infact the Turbo PRB is coming back out to play with my brother Allan behind the wheel. He will run the rest of this year on DOT tyres then soft slicks and more power for next year.
  2. You should have put a bet on this Duncan before the event could have made some extra money LOL Well done to Merek with an outstanding time to get in the 1:01
  3. Well the new suspension in the Mazda was great made it better to drive and i did not have a spin at all Niel but you left to eraly to see it. Hope all is well with the red Radical and see you at the creek I had a good day all in all got a 1:07.8 in a R100 but still some room for improvment. Also great times from Mark in the Silvia to get a 1:06.5 great work
  4. It may sound sweet but its slow , i thought there was somthing wrong when i put my foot down the first time on the stright after driving the GTR at superlap.
  5. Was a great 2 day, nice to see so many people there hope the event just gets bigger and better. Meet alot of SAU people in the pits coming to have a look at my car, nice to meet you all I was very happy to get in the 1:49 with full trim and bolt on suspension parts out the box with Kumho KU36's. And what a drive from Jackie in the 200sx only running 210rwkw with E85, said he borrowed alot of parts of mates to bolt on the car for the event, Must have some very good mates.

  7. Give Steven a call from Prestige Motorsport Austraila Ph: 97260505, call him next week as will be busy at Superlap
  8. A cheating GTR ? Not even at the event yet and people getting accused of cheating already....
  9. Would really like to see the footage when your following the R100, trying to sort out the wheel lifting on the car and like to see exactly when it lifts up. Cheers Brian

  11. It’s great to see an older member wanting to make a change good work Terry, I myself would be happy to help out but I’m only 28 let me know if I can help in any way. Just a thought there are a lot of older people who run at the NSW CAMS Supersprints rounds that I believe would be happy to help out also not to mentions all the young people running as well. I always thought would be great idea to make a video of the event and interview the drivers showing their cars and send it to ACA-TT and have the public see its our hobby and we are losing race tracks to drive on to have fun. It think would look ok if it comes from people 40+ the public may take some notice?
  12. cool that’s good to know I was under the impression they were not allowed, As I heard threw a shop that a Ferrari 430 GT race car wanted to enter but was not accepted? Must be wrong but.
  13. I run Ku36 275/35/18 front & rear of my R32 GTR... As long as the have right off set wheel.
  14. Its No rear engine 6 Cylinder or above vehicles allowed, so rules out all of the above i thought? Not sure how the Honda NSX is allowed to run? well it is a Mid engine car so maybe thats the loop hole?
  15. No the R100 still staying, just have friend looking for a race car for some fun while advertising his business
  16. Thankyou for every ones help, spoke to Peter at Bonds today and also CAMS, car will not comply as is would need some work so not buying... Anyone got a Nissan race car they want to sell instead????
  17. I have 2 wheels in Sydney you can have for $250 Pm me if interested.
  18. Duncan can you advise of some one in Sydney that will do the full computer simulation on the roll cage and do you know of anyone who has had this done with cost ect? Done a bit of google and found Rod Andrews Race Cars at Seven Hills will call him on Monday or any others?
  19. Also any reason why this car would not meet 3D regulations for CAMS here, this is the what the car looks like, I know I have to check the sizes of the bonnet vents and front guard vents and make sure the rear diffuser is within specs. Think it needs head lights that work and maybe other little bitsbut would there be any major reason it could not be a sports sedan? And yes still runs the full floor pan and chassis.
  20. Was hoping to get some advise and help from some of the people on here that have built or building roll cages and know 3D Sports Sedan regulations, Have a friend looking at a EVO race car in New Zealand, car has New Zealand Motorsport Log Book with Roll Cage Homologation papers, Just want to confirm the cage would be eligible to run as 3D Sports Sedan here, Looked in the CAMS manual online but could not find much on chrome molly cages maybe i was looking in the wrong place? Cage is made from 4130 Chrome Molly CDS Outside Diameter : 38.2mm Wall Thickness : 2.6mm Yield Strength : 753Mpa Ultimate Tensile Strength : 805MPa Here are some images of the cage any advise or impute would be great.
  21. Will be good to see the car with no problems at Wakefield Stuart... After some poor times at Eastern Creek with the Mazda have changed front brake pads to DS2500, changed front springs from 400 pounds to 450, made a new rear sway bar now 13mm only, was 19mm but had it disconnected. Will see how it feels at Wakefield hope it makes it easier to drive as its quite a handful at the moment. Oh and will have the Hoosier slicks on to now there bedded in. Neil did you end up sorting out your car on the Dyno yet?
  22. I can see this turning into a shit fight, guy in the BMW gets a quote to fix his car, ends up costing over $15,000, your mate will have to pay up anything so the cops dont get involved, And if he will not pay the guy in the BMW will get the cops involved. Your mate is a real wanker for driving uninsured + unlicensed, if it was me in the BMW you would be paying to respray my car and a engine rebuild while im at it. Hope he gets Shafted and will never do it again, or be up front go the cops and get a fine and end up in court....
  23. Sure have running in the Club Sprint Class Sorry Neil the GTR will get a few stone chips and rubber marks, but nothing that cant be fixed it was built to be used, Cant just let in sit in the shed this year, its getting upset as the Mazda is getting more use in the CAMS supersprints.. I know the old girl wont have chance of winning im up agaist Duncan's R35 GTR but i cant just sit there an watch.
  24. Just looking on the Superlap Web site clubsprint class is full and only 5 spots left for the open class. Better get in quick if you want to enter in the open class.
  25. Was good down at Palm Beach, was expecting some more to show up there at least, Nice to meet you Simon will try and arrange another photo shoot in better weather next time maybe south as we come from this way. Also sorry I didn’t hang around at Homebush but after seeing over 4 cop cars up the side street was not going to risk having to get pulled over. Trying to get the car ready for Superlap and don’t need the hassles from the cops. Look forward to seeing some images.
