Still has round tail lights like a GTR but has extra 2 cylinders. Will give it a good clean and some paint as its fully vinyl wrapped. Trip to the Dyno with a few more mods and ready for some fun next year. Will post up some more images along the way of the strip down and clean up.

Could put Oran Park South and GP track in the list too? I know the track is closed but a lot of results on Natsoft for good memories

Semi's For Sprints & Hill Climbs
GTR32G replied to Mr. Untouchable's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
If you are on a budget I would be looking at the Toyo R888 for the wear rate and resonable grip with lap time. Once you go softer than this if you are on a budget with a heavy car like Skylines a good Formula R dose wear out quick when pushed on the limit also the heat cycles will kill a lot of the Formula R. -
Semi's For Sprints & Hill Climbs

The Kumho V70a seem well liked on the lighter cars at supersprints like MX5, Lotus Elise and Clubman kit cars. My dad and brother has used them for years on a PRB Clubman with no problem. Duncan's comment that they retain there grip level even when worn out is true my brother still finds lap records when the tyres are a year old which is always nice. We have also used the Kumho V70a Medium vs the Toyo R888 on a EVO MR and the Kumho was around .8 sec faster a lap at Wakefield Park I have used the Hankook Z221 Mediums on the R35 GTR they are unreal for grip but dont expect more than 2 laps at Wakefield and 1 lap at Eastern Creek before they go off, most the fast time attack cats at sprints will only do the 1 lap on them and pit as they do go off. So if you are after fastest time they are great but but if you drive on the limit you will not get 3-4 laps out of them with killing the tyre. -
Pending on the date you need the oil samples, I will be due for oil changes again very soon as I have a few more supersprints coming up. Apart from engine oiI I dont run stock fluids, all aftermarket stuff. not sure if that matters.

I have sent out PM's to the R35 GTR owners from Sydney I can find on here. Will start up a new topic soon once I get some feed back from the PM's and start advertising it with more details.

Ok give me a till next week as I just got back from being overseas for 2 months, will try and find a date that will suit as many people, any other preferences on dates, days eg Saturday, Sunday, during the day or night? Will also arrange one of the SAU Photographers to come day so we can do a photoshoot.

Should try and arrange a Sydney R35 only meet somtime, see how many we can get together but would need to give a few months notice so we can get the word around and on the face book page.

Buying An R35 While Working In The Us
GTR32G replied to JimmyRickard's topic in General Automotive Discussion
You can pick up a 2010 ZR1 for around the 70-80k mark, other cars worth a look would be a some of the top of line Mustangs like the 2011-2013 Shelby GT500, a Factory Five GTM could find a 2009-2010 car for around 80k. Another car that is road registrable in the US is the Ariel Atom you can buy a brand new 2013 cars for around 65k, not really an every day car but you could have a cheap daily car then -
Buying An R35 While Working In The Us
GTR32G replied to JimmyRickard's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Depending on what your plans are if you intend to do a few track days while over in the US the R35 would be a very good option but if its just for street driving and having fun I would look at a few locally built cars like the Viper or Corvette. You can buy 2010-2012 Dodge viper Str-10 for around the 70k. And there are many other options with other high end US cars for around this price. And the resale would be easier to move a Viper over a GTR I think. Also what's the job opportunity in the US that would make you do the big move for a few years? -
I have just gone through the whole process of researching them and been dealing with Canton direct who gave me contacts to people that drift and race RB's in the US with the Accusump and they have advised to run the 35-40psi EPC valve, In the next few days was going to order the kit I have posted above for a R34 GTR.

Yes clubsprints are a bit more relaxed if run my eg WRX car club or SAU track days ect...

The CAMS NSW Supersprint Series has made a rule to wear a race suit, but will let single layer go kart suit and non-flammable mechanic overalls pass. So your best to get a single layer go kart suit of eBay for under $100 or pick up some overalls like King-gee...

This guy from eBay in the US is the best price cost under $450 delivered to Australia and that's a 3qt tank including the EPC refill, discharge value and brackets. http://www.ebay.com/itm/330384109319?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_3527wt_898

First of the above post is incorrect, type one excludes AWD turbo cars, type 3 you will need to prove your running standered boost or have a CAMS turbo monitor with turbo restrictors as per improved production regulations. Tyres are not a big a deal in any class but can run slicks in type 4. Main problem you have being unregintered is you will requier a CAMS log book to be able to enter the supersprint series. If you get or have a CAMS log book then i would recomend to run in Type 6 under the Time Attack Class or if you want to use full slick run type 4. If you run in type 3 your boost and any mods are closly monitored and will most likely need turbo restrictors.

The Nismo R35 Clubsport Package has been available for a few years now…. Also the article states the only Nismo version of the R35 is the GT3 Spec car, last time I looked around you could buy the Nismo R35 RC spec production race car as well.

I looked at the Nitto INVO for road tyres but end up going the run flats OEM tyres. If you get a puncture with out the run flat it really stuffs you up, you can use the tyre foam filler stuff and have a small compressor to pump it back up but will stuff your TPMS in doing so. May save extra now but could cost you to be stuck on the side of the road or bugger a TPMS sensor to get home. I took my TPMS out of the OEM rims and use them in my aftermarket wheels on the street. Dont really need the TPMS for track wheels,
